Country landscape and scenery is outstanding. Driving in Italy can be a challenge when travelling smaller roads due to impatient local drivers. Dining in higher end restaurants is expensive but the food is excellent although much the same from restaurant to restaurant. Biggest disappointment was rudeness of restaurant owners and wait staff at many establishments. Overall Italy is too expensive and we likely won’t go back.

We went to the Almalfi Coast, a very lovely area to drive around. I do wish we had rented a small car though for the small and windy roads! A boat trip and swimming in the warm ocean is highly recommended, take beach shoes, the coves/beaches are mostly pebbles. Eating out is reasonable with, of coure, amazing pasta and pizza.
