Cons: I booked a car with air conditioning and I've been given one without. We had to drive with windows open which was annoying and a health hazard. My wife developed a pain in the ear because of this. The car wasn't ready, so we had to wait to pick it up. I won't use Drivalia again.

Cons: I didn’t like the fact that coming to the airport on a 8.5 hour flight, then having to wait to speak to the person at the desk where there was only one person doing the contracts. I ordered the vehicle online hoping that it would be ready when I got there and I had to wait an hour to get the car. Also had to wait because there were 2 people in front of me that had no vehicle ordered. They should have one person doing the already ordered cars and the other person doing the new contracts.

Cons: I tried ordering a baby car seat at the counter (as it states you can do so on the website instructions) and they had run out. I wasn’t going to have a car seat for my baby until a neighbouring car company lent them one for me (thanks so much Sicily by Car) at no charge!! The reason I didn’t book the car seat with Drivalia in advance at time of booking is because they were charging $200+ for the car seat. I could buy a new one. Agents could have helped but didn’t, they didn’t try to solve I did.

Cons: This rental was a mess. The car was dirty inside and out. The windshield wiper fluid was empty and didn't work when I filled it up. The brakes squeaked like crazy the entire time. Obviously, the brake pads were at the end of their life. Worst of all, they are trying to bill me 172 euros for a missing manual?? I don't even know what manual they are talking about. I have opened a complaint with Discover Cars.

They said they dont care and I will still have to pay it and make a later request from DiscoverCars...that would be too stressful...bottom line I should not buy full insurance from DC and buy straight from them next time. Also Drivalia would not reply to phone calls.

Cons: Pick up speed was more than 2 hours. Car was scratched all over and I couldnt check for possible new damages wherever I parked it. The windshield fluid was empty and the bonnet could not open to refill it. I tried recharging the battery but after 3 hours it was still 0% so I had to pay much more for petrol...this defied the purpose of booking a hybrid car. I was kind of threatened at the pickup that if I didnt pay for a full insurance with them I would have to pay 2500 euros in case of damage..

Cons: Unclean car, obviously not checked prior to rental as head rest was dumped on the rear seat. Car felt unsafe as skid warning light came on persistently /randomly from day 3 onwards along with a "hold the steering wheel" warning. When the warning light came on, there was no skid risk so clearly there was a computer fault. I reported this to the agent in Venice and trust it is fixed prior to further rental. If not and it's given to someone else, then this would be extremely negligent

When I got to Toronto couldn’t get my car out of the car park because my credit card was blocked. Had to wait almost 2hr for manager to come had to find a way to get cash.so never again!!!!!

Pros: I had booked a service at Rome dell'Aeroporto di Fiumicino, with full insurance through @Discovercars.com. I arrived - the Italian manager said that it was not suitable, I had to buy full insurance again. I bought it because I wanted to drive more peacefully. I asked them to print a long contract written in English and send it to me by email several times - they said that they had indeed sent it, but I never received the contract. They printed a form only in Italian with only payment lines.

Cons: According to the law, they must give a copy of the contract, but they stated that they could not print a complete document. The same thing happened a week later when I returned the car to them. I do not have a contract, although I asked and demanded it several times. They charged me extra for fuel, even though I returned it after filling up the gas tank, for refueling, and I don't know what else they'll charge me for, because they haven't returned the deposit yet.

(See photo attached) A warning light that kept coming on saying “shut off car, engine pressure too low.” No stereo at all. 3) We dropped off the car. They sent us a bill with trumped up charges, and no real explanation, for 230 Euro.

After that, at drop off went all good, no problem at all, but on the invoice I've been charged EUR 112.49 on top of the agreed amount! Contacted everyone without answer at all. I'll have to complain now to DiscoverCars and/or my credit card issuer. Short of EUR 112.49, learned the lesson, with DRIVALIA never again!

Cons: I waited over three hours to pick up the car. They tried to lie me into accepting a small city car instead of a full size SUV stating it is the same category. The attitude of the desk agent was very arrogant demeaning and pking fun at the misery of me (and other fellow passengers having to wait for hours for a car after intercontinental flights.) Dropping off in Milan was a terrible experience, I nearly missed my flight. Finding the drop of spot is nearly impossible, due to very unclear signs.

Cons: 1. I have ordered a car with a baby seat - when I got to the rental desk, the secretary told me, that they do not have a baby seat, and that I must go and buy a baby seat by my self. So I had to leave my wife with a 9 month old baby at the airport, go to the city, buy a baby seat, and return back to the airport to pick up my wife with the baby. 2. The car I got was all over scratched and cracked. There was no luggadge cover in the trunk. I did notify about that but was told that that is the car.

When I refilled it later on I realised that the indicator worked just fine and they managed to get that 1/8 tank of fuel for free from me. Clever trick, very bad commercial practice.

Cons: The pick up was shocking it took less time to Check in and travel to Italy from Gatwick. Than it did to pick the car up. The service was so bad I talked to people there that decided to go to other car rental companies and try and cancel with drivalia.

Drivalia we’re not helpful at all on fixing it and in the end I had to to make the suggestions and take a day out of my time to fix it. Pros: We waited a very long time to pick car up. More than an hour. The person dealing was very helpful though and upgraded us to a luxury car. No one complaints there.

There were two agents working and for some reason it took a very long time to process each guest. 2 1/2 hour wait is a bit too long especially after a 10 hour flight. Pros: Okay, so my main gripe was, that the lights on the car were appalling. The lights were not adjusted correctly, neither on normal, nor on brights setting. This meant, that our drive from.the airport to the hotel was a nightmare. We couldn't read the roadsigns, as on normal lights, there was too little light and on brights, the light shone so harshly upwards, that it was impossible to see anything other than the light reflection. I would expect a rental car to have lights in order.

Cons: That they didn't care about damages on the car before we drove off (leaving us a bit concerned, even with full insurance. The poor lights (as mentioned) & the car having no power whatsoever. We literally could not go higher than 70 uphill at a push.
