Record go at Rome Airport Fiumicino

Pros: I have been renting cars from Record for almost a year now. I’ve also tried other rentals in the area and I have to say they are far superior. They cover all details, plenty of staff to handle high volumes of people. The whole experience is friendly and efficient.

Pros: Not alot tbh

Cons: The waiting time for the shuttle and then the high pressure sales tactics to get me to buy insurance - telling us everything was on us even if the car broke down even if it was not our fault . It made us drive the car alot less out of fear of losing the £900 deposit. Will not be using again

Cons: It took about an hour to get the pick up. Most disappointed point was that when we arrived to the rent agency they told us that they don’t respect the Discover car insurance and we had to pay extra 160 euros!! Will never use this app or this car rental agency

Cons: The directions for meeting the shuttle bus at the airport were poor. We had to call the company after searching a long time with the vague directions. The possible scam tactic a mentioned above.

Cons: I asked for a Sat Nav but was told 'No, we don't have them'. Car was petrol, turned out to be hybrid, & late in rental we discovered had Bluetooth & were able to hitch up phone Google Maps. An explanation would have been helpful

Pros: The check-in attendant was friendly and welcoming. The fellow who took back the car was quick and easy to deal with.

Cons: The rear lights on one side of tge car never did work. The key fob did not always work. I ran out of windshield washer fluid in short order. The insides of the windows were dirty in a manner that made them hard to see through at night. I had to clean them.

Pros: I had to purchase collision insurance twice. I purchased it from discovery not knowing that you are not the Rental Car company that I’m getting the car from. You are a broker. I had to buy insurance again from the Rent-A-Car company that actually gave me the car. Otherwise, I would’ve had to pay cash for any loss, including total loss of the car and then file a claim with Discover. This is not accurately described in your sales information. I would never buy secondary insurance.

Cons: You do not have an airport location. I was in an industrial area when I dropped off the car. There is no taxi service in that area and I needed to go to a hotel. My hotel was closer than the airport and your agent would not drop me off at the hotel. I was forced to walk from the Rental Car drop off to my hotel.

Pros: Supportive on site staff at RecordGo.

Cons: I had reported about my return time 2 days earlier. Still they Charged extra day for me for returning the car at 1.30pm on Saturday. (I picked up the car 2 pm 9 fays earlier). I should not have been charged an extra day for this. Help information I received via email from customer support was not accurate and customer friendly.

Pros: Perfect service, friendly agents, Quick responses to our questions via Whatsapp, car in perfect condition, returned in perfect condition, drop off took 10 minutes at max.

Pros: Very easy to pick up and drop off and felt no pressure to get add on insurance etc. I had a flat tyre during my trip and the car was fully equipped with a spare and tyre changing kit. The agents were very helpful in sorting a replacement too and I wasn't charged a penny.

Cons: The shuttle bus to the airport was a little slow - I'd recommend leaving plenty of time to drop off before your flight.

Pros: The shuttle to take us from rental to airport never showed. Only excuse from record-go employees was that it’s an outside company that does the shuttles. They tried to contact the shuttle without success. We had to drag our luggage out of the parking lot, call a taxi = €40 to be able to get to airport. Almost missed our flight and it was a problem putting luggage under plane. We almost didn’t make it home for thanksgiving due to this car rental. Will never use again.

Pros: Friendly, not too much pressure to upswell car or insurance. But I speak some Italian so I probably had better service

Cons: They had the car condition as ‘without any marks or scratches’. They tried to say that small scrapes on plastic wheel covers were new damage. Fortunately I had photos of the car and small flaws at pick up. Resolved without further delay, but not impressed with this action.

Cons: The directions to finding the transit shuttle bus were not completely accurate. We came out of the highlighted exit from the Terminal but did not realise we had to turn right and make our way to a recharging point where we would meet the shuttle. Simply adding this information to the directions would resolve this. The company also needs a large shuttle bus.

Cons: Arrived at the airport and could not find pick up. Directions to pick up were incorrect. Called the car rental to figure out where pick up was, and they were not helpful. Eventually, I saw the shuttle and ran to the location, which was not described well by rental agency. It took two hours to make it to rental agency after landing. Finally, made it to rental agency, and they would not release car. Never received rental. Had to take shuttle back to airport and rent a different car.
