Pros: When I arrived at the airport in Rome I was very happy I had booked a rental at the airport, I didn't have to locate and take a shuttle bus. The rental process was very similar to what I'm used to in the USA, and having done it once, the next time will be even easier.

Cons: When you get to the service desk there's a QR code off to the side that you use to get your number in line (queue) I waited for about five minutes before I became aware what the QR code was for. Once you know it's there it's easy to use, but it's easy to miss your first time using SBC.

The vehicle given was as promised and was in an overall great condition (except some dents on the car body - take your own photos to document them if it happens to you). No other complaints on the condition of the car really, the interior was almost new and the drive was great... the price paid was very good value.

When I said I didn't want to drive a car that smelled of smoke, the response was two sprays of air freshener, which lasted about as long as it took me to exit the rental car center.

Cons: Fiumicino rent has poor fleet like Seat, Dacia, Renault and few fiat: silver, grey and common boring colours. They don't give spirit of Italy with Fiat, Alfa Romeo with white, red, blue colour. If you care what car would you like so try another rental

Pros: I liked the car itself. Even though it didn’t have the options we asked for in the reservation.

Cons: Car had a lot of existing damage upon collection, creating noise & anxiety whilst driving, numerous dashboard lights appearing on return journey to airport making us stop at a motorway station to check (especially with my family in the car and as the car's manual was not in English); resulting in feeling rushed to return the car, the man checking it over rushing us, so not having time to remember to remove an internal rear view mirror extension I had brought with me on holiday, not happy.

Cons: The car had a problem. We lost 4 hs repairing it and had to be towed from the autostrada to the mercedes shop.

Cons: Why do we have to manually fill out all the paperwork at the airport. If everything was done in advance, the lines would be a lot shorter!

Cons: When picking up the car, we noticed some damage not covered by the check-out form, so we asked the attendant to note it on the form. While doing so, my wife was taking pictures of the existing and newly-found damage to the car. The attendant absolutely flipped out, and started yelling that we had not right to take pictures of him without his permission. I stated we were just taking pictures of the damage, but he continued to berate us. Everything else was great...

Cons: They did not have the car available that we had rented and we were forced to take a bigger car that we really did NOT want. It used more gasoline and was much harder to park and to drive in narrow Italian streets.

Cons: Difficult to return, no visible signs, no people. The car showed too much wear and tear.

Pros: Really nothing. They were extremely rude when we got there because we were an hour late. It was not our fault our flight got in later than we expected. Also we had a lot of luggage and two kids under the age of 4 and they gave us no help. They did not help us find the car they did not help us find the car seats that we rented and they did not help us put anything in. On top of that they made us pay extra because our plane was late.

Cons: The representatives at the front desk were very rude and despite the long trip that we had just had they offered us no support and no help and it took us an extra hour just to leave the rental place. We will not use them ever again
