Ecovia at Rome Airport Fiumicino

Pros: A preocupação dos 2 atendentes para resolver a demora para me entregar o carro.

Cons: Esperamos quase 2h e ainda assim meu carro não chegou. Até que os atendentes me ofereceram outro veículo que acabara de ser entrega por um cliente como solução.

Cons: Different car from what i choose. I selected VW Golf but received Seat Arona. Car was Metano / Benzin, problem that benzin tank was 10L and Metan not easy to find, so i refiled benzin tank around 4-5 times during the week.

Cons: Car wasn’t ready and had many faults dents scratches missing hubcap. Engine oil was very low. I hade to buy 2 lts of oil for a motor that holds approximately 3 1/2 lts. I don’t think it has ever been serviced. It had 76000 Kim’s on it

Cons: This is not a critique of discover card but my frustration with finding the rental return. Primarily it was that I’m not fluent in Italian! We had to make a second circuit through to find the correct building.

Pros: The car even if not what I booked was fine and gave me no trouble. The representatives were friendly, particularly where I took possession of the car.

Cons: Even though I booked my car months in advance, the car I wanted was not available. I ended up paying close to a €1000 more than what was already paid including extra insurance. I felt cheated. The full insurance coverage seems difficult to understand as I took that option online but was told that I had to take it again if I actually wanted to be fully covered. This was not a pleasant surprise and again, it felt like a scam. I witnessed the same problem happening to the 2 people that were ahead.

Cons: Waited 1:45 minutes in line to recover my car when that company only gives me a one hour window to pickup my reservation. Also, wanted to extend my contract for 2 days but could not get conclusion for a rental extension.

Pros: The first car was given to me with a tire code, and I am getting a flat within 10 miles. The second car they went to give me, had a faulty, remote control. The last car I got, had an engine light for an oil change, and windshield wipers were dangerous as they were not working properly in the rain

Cons: The person in Florence was very helpful with helping me resolve some of my issues. But they shouldn’t have been a problem in the first place.

Pros: It was efficient and easy to use.

Cons: We struggled a bit finding our way to the rental desk, but overall it was great.

Pros: After you find them, they are quick, polite and helpful.

Cons: The name was changed and i had to call for directions in order to find them, I was walking around a lot and waist my time and energy. They should give better inductions by email

Cons: Had flat and asked to be towed 8 km. to repair station but, the rental co. advised towing co. to tow car to nearest authorized repair station 74 km. away. Was forced to pay for hotel due to time traveled and then, next morning, received call from repair station advising they were not authorized for repair and was sent to another station 129 km. away all in the opposite direction where I was headed. I lost a day of my vacation just traveling in a tow truck! Sent 2 emails but no answer!

Cons: The EcoVia service desk was a little tricky to find as it was actually part of the AutoVia group.

Pros: The car we rented needed oil the second day after we received it, we tried to contact ecovia on their hotline to inform them but no one got back to us so we had to buy 1L of oil and put it ourselves

Cons: At drop off we informed them that we paid for oil they said that we need to send a claim to get reimbursed. I think they should better maintain the cars before giving them out and be more responsive on the hotline

Pros: no pushy sales, very polite, very accomodating. I got there 1.30 hrs before my rental start and gave me the car anyway. the lady at the desk was excellent, she did mention few things extra I could have bought but was not pushy. very good and relaxed experience

Cons: They stopped answering my emails and gave me unkind answers when I ask for refund.

Pros: In Rome be ready for long lines picking up cars using elevators and also getting out of the garage isnt easy

Cons: The agent provided a lot of serious and WRONG informations while picking up the car.Firstly,he said that the car was “perfect” without any issues or dented(smashes) at its body,and,once we checked it(alone,by ourselves,without anyone from Ecovia looking or helping),we found a big smash on the backpart-If I trusted that guy,PROBLEM! Second,the same agent told me that the car was Full of fuel..and,Again,it wasn’t,another Wrong and Bad information from this Agent.Unprofessional service at least.

Cons: Could not receive the car I rented due to a card issue so I my reservation was lost and I am still waiting for a refund

Pros: The agent was very friendly but just overwhelmed with customers and work.

Cons: Car was handed out dirty, had a noise on the motor and tires needed to be replaced as they were too smooth (we found this later during our trip).

Cons: The car was dirty. Empty bottels and dust everywhere.

Cons: Just one complaint - I asked about the fuel and was told it was unleaded. I only discovered once I was driving it that it was a CNG and unleaded duel fuel car - but most of the range depended on CNG. There were no CNG filling stations on the main toll roads and when we went to Trieste for the final part of our holiday the nearest CNG filling station was 50km.

Cons: They are trying to charge us on a minor, almost microscopic, dent that no one noticed when we picked up the car. But we are certain that it was there before. And anyway it is ridiculously small that you can't notice it

Cons: Our booking was through Ecovia, although we had to pick the car up from Autovia, a different name entirely. It would have helped to have had this information ahead of pick-up.

Cons: Could not get the navigation system to work in English. Special instructions needed. Big thanks to Google maps. Tire pressure indicator sensor was on despite checking tire pressurr several times. Locations for methana fuel hard to find. Way cheaper than petrol.

Cons: They are scammers. They find obscure scratches on the car you have no chance of finding when you take the car at night and then try to over charge you for "damage"

Pros: Quick return. Overall the service was efficient

Cons: The rental agent in Rome Fiumicino did not wear a face mask and was sitting in the only position (out of 3) in the desk without plexiglass screen. The office is a tiny box with poor air circulation so a face mask would have been the very minimum. Also, he was not particularly responsive to some issues with car, but I did not insist. The car was ok. It wasn't easy to find their position in Fiumicino but that only because it's the first time I rent with them

Cons: The car has a lot of scratches!

Cons: The car was very damaged and the engine light was on. It was not high way worthy. The company is committing fraud by hiding small damages amongst many in a very old car that are not marked in the agreement and the playing “gotcha” with surprise damage charges. The desk was impossible to find in Rome. The drop off point was not marked and did not feel professional. They took a long time to process the return and when they did they come back with this fake damage charge.

Pros: Everyone was very professional and our rental experience was excellent.

Cons: I had trouble finding where to drop off the car. In future the drop off address should be highlighted on the paperwork to reduce confusion. Otherwise, my experience with Discover and Ecovia was superior.

Pros: The service was excellent, although renting cars is always longer than one would hope.

Cons: The car smelled like it had been used by a smoker recently.
