Italy Car Rent at Rome Airport Fiumicino

Cons: Got charged 250 euro for a damage I did not cause on the car. Feels like a scam and that they make profit of this. They gave me a car that was damaged from front to rear. The car was not clean on the inside.

Pros: The service person was very friendly, but did not explain everything. She seem very rushed to get me out.

Cons: Spent about 40 minutes bouncing from building to building trying to find the place and then she told me I was late for my reservation so I did not get the vehicle that I wanted

Cons: First of all, didnt get the car that was booked. Booked jeep renegade. It was available on site, but said something that it does not have permit to go out of Rome and the replacement car was fiat500x which was very much prone to theft. And accordingly car was broken into and all luggage stolen in Pisa. And finally the provider started charging to credit card every month as traffic penalties without any prior notice. More than 1500 euros charged as traffic fines. Unable to trace authencity.

Cons: I arrived early to the office of rental . The car was available.The employee were free of costumers but they ask me to come ofter 1 hour , exactly at the time when it was in contract. When I came back , there was 10 customers-so that’s no efficiency. The car I choose and I pay for 5 months before, wasn’t availlable(jeep) , so they gave me a ford. The car wasn’t clean and after 200 km , there was necessarily changing oil message on board.I payed full insurance 2 times and no money back!!!

I've handed this vehicle back in perfect condition and signed it off with the agent that it was 100%. An hour later, I received this mail after I had left the Airport. If it is the case of damage to the vehicle, then I would like Discover Cars to look into this matter as I had full insurance

When I declined the additional insurance offered, my credit card was declined for the deposit, even though I was on the phone with my bank and they could see the requests coming through , which then “forced” then to charge me for insurance doubling the cost of my rental since I had to use a debit card. Then they didn’t want down the car for damage, telling me.

Pros: The service desk in Rome was efficient and explained the process to me. I would have wanted them to go through all the past damages with me rather than the onus being on me to choose. But overall they were very friendly and fast to get the car prepared. The people in Rome were great.

Cons: The quality of the vehicle was the absolute worst. We rented a Kia Picanto, which was covered in dents, scratches, scrapes, and almost every panel was marked up. My wife and i drove around the country and experienced issues with the starter (sometimes you would have to jiggle the keys in the ignition). Drop off in Milano was the worst. No direction on turn in and nobody at the return "desk" nor any clear indications of where to even locate the main desk. The phones were not working i guess.

Spoke to customer service who stated we should use the car. How did they know if the car was safe when they didn’t see it. Also charged us $150 euros to exchange the stalled car for a another. The person who gave us the new car didn’t speak any English.
