Cons: They cancelled my original appointment because my flight got in two hours after my reservation time. They then charged me for an upgrade. When I declined the additional insurance offered, my credit card was declined for the deposit, even though I was on the phone with my bank and they could see the requests coming through , which then “forced” then to charge me for insurance doubling the cost of my rental since I had to use a debit card. Then they didn’t want down the car for damage, telling me.

Cons: The oil missing almost completely. We had to wait for 30 min, to the car, to arrive from cleaning... We got a car a little smaller/ weaker than we prenotate.

Pros: The service desk in Rome was efficient and explained the process to me. I would have wanted them to go through all the past damages with me rather than the onus being on me to choose. But overall they were very friendly and fast to get the car prepared. The people in Rome were great.
Cons: The quality of the vehicle was the absolute worst. We rented a Kia Picanto, which was covered in dents, scratches, scrapes, and almost every panel was marked up. My wife and i drove around the country and experienced issues with the starter (sometimes you would have to jiggle the keys in the ignition). Drop off in Milano was the worst. No direction on turn in and nobody at the return "desk" nor any clear indications of where to even locate the main desk. The phones were not working i guess.

Pros: Was given a car that had no booklet in it. The car stalled 3 times and the service light lit up and the car rolled backwards when it stalled on a hill. Spoke to customer service who stated we should use the car. How did they know if the car was safe when they didn’t see it. Also charged us $150 euros to exchange the stalled car for a another. The person who gave us the new car didn’t speak any English.

Cons: I rented 2 vehicles. One employee checked under my vehicle and went straight to a scratched underneath as if he knew it was there. The other employee checking our second vehicle did not check the underneath at all, not consistent and very suspicious!!!!
Cons: No customer support, No understanding, No refund for what I paid but I did not use. No transparency, No professionalism. DiscoverCars is just a greedy company. Once you experience a problem with your car rental you are left on your own. Remember that!
Cons: Attendant was not very forthcoming, did not even bother to walk us to the car to inspect it for damages even though it was totally covered in scratches and dents (we had to call him). Took us relatively long for pickup. Even though I made it clear I was not familiar with automatic cars he still did not come to show me the ropes and had to make them out on my own.

They would not return my money over (their) scheduling misunderstanding. DO NOT go through this BROKERAGE! Just simply directly contact whoever is actually renting the car at THEIR point of location. Otherwise, you CANNOT contact these unreasonable A-holes.

The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
