Excellent and fast service (with the online check in), easy to locate at the airport, polite customer service, the car was brand new and everything was even better than what we expected. I have rented cars in Italy before with other suppliers, but I wouldn’t choose anything else than Locauto from now on! We rented from Rome and returned the car in Florence, we were so pleased that it was ok to do that way. Such a great experience!

Cons: The purchase of insurance with Discover Cars is NOT supported by the Locoauto pick up desk. They would not recognize the insurance I had purchased with Discover Cars. This should be made clear to your customer as these folks at pickup made me feel like I did not have insurance.

Pros: I had read many negative customer reviews of other rental agencies in Italy -- true horror stories. So reputation via positive reviews was very important to me. And Locauto did not disappoint! Everything went the way it was supposed to: the car was ready, clean and full of fuel; prices did not change; desk agents at check out and check in were informative and professional; no "surprise" charges (example: unsubstantiated claims of scratches or damage).

Cons: The check-in agent encouraged me to pre-pay the gasoline for $120 euro, and I was told that would be cheaper than filling it myself. What I learned, however, is that my diesel vehicle only costs $80 euro to fill -- so I felt a little overcharged. Also, perhaps it was due to summer "peak", but I paid more for this vehicle than any I'd previously rented. Finally, it would be preferred to rent a transponder for tolls instead of having to manually stop and pay each time.

Pros: Smart check in is the best! We went directly to the car park, no need to stop by the office. Fast and very effective!
