Not all car damages and scratches were marked and employee just advised us to take pictures as a proof (why can't you just msrk everything?). We also later found additional damage on the bottom of the car that were not marked. Luckily, we were not charged for that.

Pros: can't fault the price but even if it had been more expensive, pretty much everything was spot on. the new fleet is more appropriate for the island than the old fleet with the fiat 500 happily pulling up whatever hill google thought I wanted to experience.

Cons: after my experience with some other agents in some other locations, it doesn't make me that comfortable that I don't get to see what I'm supposed to be signing before I do and then I don't receive the emails with what I've signed but, with this being my third time with them, I've mainly got used to it. One of the rare places that aren't trying desperately to increase their profits by forcing you into buying extras and hoping that you've scratched the car on return.

Cons: They didn’t have the vehicle requested at time of arrival and told Me I had to upgrade for an additional $20 euro a day, charged me for 5 days when I only booked for 4 days. Told me that I should use their insurance instead of discover cars insurance as it was better. My flight was delayed and I called them from the airport and told them that it was delayed about 3 hrs. There office was closed at 10pm by the time we arrived and wouldn’t let us come pick up vehicle so I had to taxi.

Cons: I had to pay a lot more than I expected and the car quality was not good: it definitely had engine compression loss, it barely managed to go uphill; there was a problem with the driver window lifter - the window didn't close, at some point I had to drive half of the day with fully open window and it was a miracle I could close it in the end, never touched it afterwards.

Pros: Très mauvaise expérience avec Way2Azores Rent, en effet refus de la part du commerçant d'utiliser ma carte bancaire mastercard (gold) car il y est mentionné "débit" pour la formule avec 2000€ de franchise (véhicule type compact). Je lui explique que je procède de la sorte à chaque fois que je loue un véhicule chez un concurrent (drive on holiday), il persiste et me propose sa formule bcp plus chère mais avec moins de franchise ou sinon je peux me rendre chez le conçurent qui se trouve à côté.

Cons: Donc voiture loué chez drive on holiday qui en avait une en stock car il y avait énormément de touristes, bref drive holiday ont était remarquables et efficaces.

Pessoas rudes, até com uma certa discriminação pelas mulheres ao volante (e não foi só comigo mas também com outra cliente, que eu presenciei), sem vontade e ajudar na resolução dos problemas, para depois cobrarem mais produto.

Cons: They say they need a Credit Card only to book a 2000€ advance payment in case of an accident, even if you have already paid full insurance through DiscoverCars, and if you don't have a Credit Card they are happy to sell you a second full insurance and that one you can pay in any way possible, even cash. Employers are not independent at all and they need to ask the manager every little detail. This makes the process last very long. You should calculate up to one hour when you pick up the car.

The man on the other line kept telling me to hang up and call another number and gave 4 digits. I tried to ask him to confirm what number I had to call he hung up on me. I tried several times to call back he kept hanging up on me. Luckily the transport arrived. It is essential that the correct number is provided.

Cons: The first car they provided had close to bald tires which were totally unsafe. We demanded a car with better tires and they quickly provided and had us on our way. They did not object because they knew better.

Charged me an additional 10 euro a day because the car that I was given had a convertible roof, despite being the same make and model of the car I was supposed to get. when I said that I should not be charged an additional fee as the rental agreement stated "fiat 500 or similar" they did not care.

À 22h20 nous entrons dans le bureau, on nous explique que si nous avons une carte de CRÉDIT nous payons le montant indiqué initialement or nous avons une carte de DÉBIT (comme 90% des gens). Nous devons donc payer environ 350€ de plus pour payer en carte de débit si nous voulons la voiture. Nous refusons donc nous nous retrouvons à 23h sans voiture à 2km de l’aéroport. De plus, personnel pas sympathique et faux.

Pros: I would recommend listening to the car rental agents when they suggest upgrading your car on arrival. The driving in Madeira and the hills are challenging and not for the faint hearted. On the recommendation of the agent, we begrudgingly accepted to pay more for an automatic but once we started driving, we immediately couldn’t thank the agent more! It would probably have been cheaper to book an automatic car from the beginning. Swift deposit return once the car had been dropped back.

Pros: Value for money, friendly employees, quick and efficient administration. The car wasn't in excellent, but in overall good condition, cleaned in the inside, perfect for driving around.

Cons: Our flight was delayed and we arrived next day.I called the company immediately when we got information about our flight. We were told that the car we booked was only held for 2 hours and we had to pay for an upgrade. When we got to the agency we were told the same. The car we got was in the same category as the car we booked but still I had to pay 80 euros more for “upgrade”. This is a very dishonest company. I heard the same conversation with other customers when I was returning the car.

Cons: Rather than a selecting a Mini option I decided on an Economy model. From that I expected a medium sized car rather than a small car, but not a large engine. I was not expecting a medium sized car with a small 1.0L engine. It would have been better to have had a small car with a small engine for power to weight ratio. This wasn’t mentioned on the order. Of course we could upgrade for €70!

Cons: When we arrived there, the car had not been vacuumed or washed yet, and the tires were completely flat. They rushed to clean and vacuum the car, and it didn't turn out to be anything special. The worst part was that they were going to deliver the car to us with completely flat tires. We had to remind them to fill the tires.

Cons: The discs and pads were extremely worn to the point the brake pistons were rubbing on the discs with no pad left half way through the week resulting in lots of screeching!

Cons: Although the car was delivered with the same fuel level i was charged with 6€ of fuel and the worst part they charged 15€ of refueling fee which is absurd since the refueling was done in a gaz station that i was next to the delivery point. Also the billing presented after the payment was not coherent with what was said by them during the rental.

Cons: they have asked more money then what agreed they did not took us back to the hotel with their van, even if we have paied an extra day, without using it

Cons: Auto které jsem si objednal nebylo i když jsem dostal potvrzení na Emil. Dle slov zástupce jsem nepotvrdil rezervaci. Nakonec jsem dostal místo melaeho velké a dražší. Za vyzvednutí auta byl účtován poplatek. I když jsem měl max pojištění, byla mi naučtovaná vratná kauce 113 EUR. Doposud mi nebyla vrácena i když jsem psal email s dotazem, nebylo mi odpovězeno. Proto nedoporučuji.

Cons: They tried to suggest I may have caused a dent in the car , but they knew I hadn’t, luckily I’d taken pictures. When I arrived to pick up 3 families were upset with the way they had been treated, aka paying more money than agreed. It took me 1.5 hours to pick up because the arguments were so lengthy. They seem like a bad outfit

Cons: Everything about the process of renting the car was slow and complicated. We had to wait nearly an hour for the shuttle airport even tho we called them. We also had to wait there for the car to be washed. Later we needed to change our drop off time and when we came back in person to the dealership to find a solution the employee was visibly angry, swearing and told us to come back another day to solve the issue, losing us even more time. Talked with another nicer employee the next day.

We had to phone several times and in the end waited 30 minutes until we were collected. It took the company a long time to provide us with a suitable car. It also took a long time to drop off the car.

Cons: I paid for the basic insurance and then bought a top up insurance online (which i have done many times in the past). The agents seemed very unhappy with this, said the basic insurance was useless, but were unable to explain what it did or did not cover, and i should pay them for more insurance (I saw them do the same to another customer who had bought their insurance via the website). As a result i was pressurised into buying insurance from them. The bodywork of the car was also in bad condition

Pros: The flexibility was fine, we have not informed about later flight and the provider came in some 20 minutes. However the information about the flight was in system so there would be nice, that someone would standardly expect us in time of arrival at the airport.

We arrived three hours after the book and our car was cancelled and gave it to another person, dont giving back our money from the book although it was not our fault. So, we lost money and we had to spend more for a new car. The responsables did not give us a solution and Any chance to recover our money. It was very disgusting. I am not going to book a car with this company NEVER.

Cons: I ordered Citroen C3. They did not have it so they offered me a Mercedes but I had to pay additional 100€. After two hours it occurred the car was broken (problem with tires and air conditioning). I lost half a day to return the Mercedes and get Opel Astra. It was a good car. But they refused to give me a discount or any other compensation for my lost time and problems with a broken car from their fault. Do not listen the agent when he says about tough roads. They are usual as for islands.

Cons: Wir warteten über 1h am Flughafen, bis uns jemand abholte, obwohl das Office nur 5 min vom Flughafen weg ist. 2x haben wir nachgerufen. Als dann endlich ein Bus zur Abholung kam, waren bereits so viele Leute zusammengekommen, dass jeder sich hineindrengen wollte. Der junge Fahrer war komplett überfordert. Beim Büro warteten wir wieder 1h in der prallen Sonne, das Aufnahmeprozedere dauerte eine weitere Stunde. Es arbeiten alles junge Leute dort, die heillos überfordert sind.

Cons: We paid for upgraded insurance and to upgrade the car. This car rental was 4x as expensive for a WAY worse car than we rented on the mainland. When we got a flat tire, Way2Madeira charged us 270 euros to come and fix it.... This was a maximum 50 euro job. We were BLOWN AWAY by how expensive it was for us to basically shuttle ourselves from the airport to the hotel and back. We paid over 600 euros to drive 35 kms total.

Pros: I liked the car, and the representative was very helpful. They were efficient in picking us up and getting our car. Which was in a good condition.

Cons: My main problem was with the recommendation of the petrol station. I could not refuel due to the time I was dropping off. It would be good to have more in-depth instructions.

Took 30 min to get the car, after another 30 min of waiting from when we phoned them, being picked up and driven to their office. Charged 25£ extra after dropping the car with no explanation for the charge. The car was 1-2 years old but could not cope at all with hills even on the major roads

Cons: You give them a full fuel tank back, but they don’t refund your fuel deposit.

Cons: We waited about 20 min for a car to pick us from the airport. When we arrived to their office the staff was very unpleasant and rude. But the next day we decided to update our car from mechanical to automatic, and the person who assisted us was way better in communicating and actually gave us some advice and showed how everything works. So I think the experience depends on the person that works that day.

Cons: We had a delayed flight and missed our transfer. I called them on time to explain the situation and they were directly making up additional costs. When we arrived in the night at the time we had told him, he didn't had any car but only a very overpriced model! After a long discussion he magically had other cars as well. We had to pay extra costs for the picking up and he forced us to take an extra insurance because yours would cover anything. We had to pay him any possible damage to the car.

Pros: Efficient. They operate outside the airport but provide transportation between the airport and their facility. The car was brand new.

Pros: Thé service at the beginning was horrendous and there was false representation from one of the agents (which was confirmed when we dropped the car back). We felt pressured to take a better car (which thankfully we did not as the one we had taken was just fine) and we’re told that the insurance purchased with Discover meant nothing and that we would not be insured if something happened (which apparently often happens in Madeira).

Cons: False representation; pressure in buying insurance as we were told we would never get reimbursed from Discover; rude overall; worst experience ever with car rental

First they say it wont be problem to have car one day more. Then they said is not possible, latter they said it is, but cost me 50 eur wich i said is fine for me. When i came i was waiting 30 min then they said is not possible again. When i said i spoke on phone with one of the employees- they said it is. Price for one day 289 eur!!!!

Cons: After my angry they said 89…… i was spending there one hour and left to goldcar for 50 eur….. really really bad experience. Just young guys are working, running around, talking, looking for something all the time- totaly unorganised!!!
