Pros: They were easy to find is all I that comes to mind

Cons: I was early to arrive to Madeira Portugal but they told me to wait for 2 hours. I didn’t receive the compact car size I requested and then my luggage was stolen out of my rental car right in front of their office so either they watched someone stealing it knowing I had to go to the terminal and would be back as soon as possible. Absolutely no help or concern when they were told.

Pros: There was no queue when we first arrived to pick up the car

Cons: All of the cars they had were damaged. The first one was so damaged that we had to get a tow truck and then organised to replace it and waste a day of our holiday replacing the car. We were not offered a refund.

Cons: The service was provided by a company bought by Alamo, not by Alamo itself. This should have been made clear. The company with whom we got the car called Guerin, has really bad reviews in TrustPilot (https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.guerin.pt). If I had known that it was with them, I would not have rented the car with you, as it is not directly with Alamo.

Pros: The reactivity of the employer Fabio. He was very nice with us thank you a lot. The rest of the employers are quick and efficient doing their job for check-in and check-out. Good experience after that incredible trip in Madeira. Thank you Alamo I wish you improve yourself for the next time you can easily correct those little things to be very good.

Cons: The maintenance of their cars are not made ??? First car purpose: Ford Kuga with flat tires. Definitely dead. We could see the metallic string so it's very dangerous. Second car: Nissan Qashqai with an horrible smell of smoked perfume inside and a car crash incident notification on the screen of the control board. The car didn't start twice at the first contact and the engine oil was under the low limit, so it very dangerous too. Finally the third car: another Ford Kuga was good

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1476.00), Theft Protection, Airport surcharge, Third Party Liability (TPL), Vehicle registration fee, VAT (value added tax), Free modifications.
Rate excludes
Many highways in mainland Portugal are tolled using only electronic means.
All rental vehicles are equipped with a transponder that can be used for paying for all toll roads.
There is an additional charge of 2.18 EUR per day for Toll pass / E-toll device.
Personal consumption will be charged separately at the end of the rental period.
You may also be required to leave an additional deposit for tolls.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 18 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 21.

Maximum rental age is 80 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.

To rent the following vehicle category(ies): Luxury, Premium, Fullsize, Wagons, you must provide the following document(s) at pickup: return flight ticket, 2 credit cards.
In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher, return flight ticket.

Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
Winter tires are not mandatory in Portugal.
Snow chains are allowed in icy/snowy conditions.
Business hours
In order to have service out of hours, the renter must provide the following information: Flight number.
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 0 minutes.
