Pros: The staff collected us from the easy to find meeting point at the airport. They offered us various add ons or upgrades which we politely declined (no hard sell). Yes the deposit is steep, and the pep talk on damage and the hills was a little concerning. We wanted a small car because of the local roads, though a more powerful engine would have helped.

Pros: It was fast and the man was at the airport to collect us even though the flight was late. The car was Okish and transported family of 4 around Madeira for 2 weeks

Cons: They charged me 35 euros for collection outside of their opening hours even though it wasnt my fault - the flight landed an hour and a half late. The car stank of cigarette smoke but we took it anyway. We were shattered and just wanted to get to our accommodation.

Pros: Pick up ,and paperwork easy enough

Cons: Car was covered in scrapes, no paperwork given as to where to drop the car off. So at 4am on drop off morning, in an unfamiliar airport, we drove around three times, not finding where to park. Eventually parking where everyone else was parked. But got charged 18euro for our mistake. Agency should give a small map of where to park, to avoid this expense. Car clutch was very smelly on the motorway, felt like it was on its way out.

Pros: Upon return, I was a day late, the agent was calm and clear. The extra cost was reasonable. The process was stress free and the agent was helpful.

Cons: On collection of the car the agent was quite aggressive on three counts. Firstly our flight was late leaving and although I phoned advising we would be late I was told on arrival there would be extra charges as our booked car had been released. Secondly I was told I needed to upgrade to a more powerful car due to the steep roads in Madeira. Thirdly I was pressured to take out additional insurance, which I resisted, also the car park was dark for checking car over. Bad experience.

Cons: Of course they tried to sell a "more performing car, saying that ours was not able to go up the mountains." We needed to pay extra 25€ for premium insurance, covering damages only if we were mentioning them before giving back the car. So in the end we ended up paying as much as one of the bigger renting companies with less rights in terms of damage coverage. Slow in handing the car

Pros: Very friendly service, no hidden charges, return the car undamaged and with a full tank of fuel and everything is fine, no extra charges. Getting through the contracts and rental agreement was very quick and picking us up and dropping us back at the airport was handy too. Great service overall
