AddCar at Madeira Funchal Airport

Pros: The staff was helpful and understanding

Cons: It was another company working as 3rd party for AddCar, what made us suspicious about it. The location was quite suspicious also. The car was old and was not very clean

Pros: friendly staff, they were on time and even gave us travel tips. They spoke good english and no pressure selling on the spot. The car was modern, clean, in extremely good condition considering it was a hire car.

Pros: The car needed brakes. They made noise and had grindy feeling when braking

Pros: Smooth communication with a straightforward pickup and return process. The rental offered the most competitive price we found. The vehicle provided matched the one reserved. The shuttle transfer took about 5 minutes, and the staff member arrived punctually.

Pros: Friendly. Used WhatsApp. Got back quickly to any and all enquiries. No hassles. Easy to deal with.

Cons: Pickup and drop off location. They provided transport, but the actual place where transactions took place was in an odd place. They did not provide any paperwork, hard copy or virtual.

Cons: the car condition is very bad, most of the car body was damaged, the most serious part is the left side car body, from front to end which was badly damaged when i received the car. i wonder how they would charge the renter for the damages if the car got some new crashes on the left side as there was already badly damaged.

Cons: Over an hour wait for pickup. The car was battered and scratched

Pros: no hassle, good car, clean, some local recommendations.

Cons: pickup and dropoff took some time, needed to call to check where they were. pickup not in an office but on the parking lot. saves money for them, but it feels a bit weird to be out in the open with the paperwork.

Pros: Picking up from the airport is great however, figuring out how to get the car was a little confusing.

Pros: Very flexible and helpful staff. They even let me return it later in the day with no extra charge. Really easy and fast hand over and drop off. Everything just perfect and smooth!

Pros: Very good service. Both pick-up & drop-off took place in airport parking lot. Agents were polite & helpful. Help desk worked well via phone call. Car was decant, clean with all sort of aid systems (360° view while parking). I'm very satisfied!

Pros: Service was with good price and worked well. I succeeded to kept the car well and even clean - returned in excellent condition and the company representative was present in the drop-off place and time, looked over the car and refunded my large deposit sum as promised in the first DiscoverCars internet rental documents.

Cons: I don't even know was it AddCar or was it something else whom I don't know, after signing contract they sent it to my email from "Ciber Açores" (again a new company name) and with differently described details in it - but as I said - finally everything worked out perfectly and payments and other details were just as it was in my first "DiscoverCars" order.

Cons: Just a small tip that maybe other car renters can relate - there is no place where to hang my phone in the car while I’m using navigation. If you could place some simple phone holders it could make my driving experience more pleasant. Thank you! :)

Cons: Car I requested was an automatic and the car delivered was a manual without any additional notification. Not only are manual cars usually cheaper I am unable to drive a manual. I didn't have faith this agency would pay me back my deposit and felt pressured to get the insurance to make sure I was not going to get scammed due to agent acting more like a sales man. Then the agent drove us to an unknown location to locate an automatic car. We ended up getting one but very unprofessional and concerni

Pros: everything went quite quickly, the car was nearly new with about 9000 km only.

Cons: I expect someone would meet us at the airport - they arrived only after I called them (though quite quickly). As I had only a debit card (my fault), I paid much more than expected with a promise to be refunded after the car is dropped off (if the car is ok). The car was ok, they promised to refund in upcoming days. It haven't happened yet (5 days after - including the weekend). I tried to contact them - they quickly replied that it may take even 3 weeks... But I still do not know what amount.

Cons: They tried to give us a Mitsubishi Colt instead of what we ordered. We managed to get a different car but still not what we ordered and with very little fuel. They had no idea how many drivers we had paid for. They did not meet us in the terminal as expected. They refused our drop-off time and then did not turn up for the car drop-off at the later time of 5:45pm.
