Cons: I know it says "or similar vehicle" but i have rented cars in Portugal, Italy and France every year for the last 4 years and the rental company always gives me the car that it shown on the booking. Drive on holidays has now twice not provided the car on the listing (which plays a huge factor in the car rental company that i select. Thats my biggest complaint otherwise the pickup and drop off was fast and easy. Good bye Drive on Holidays, i will not book with you in.future.

Pros: Easy booking and easy handling of the getting the car, both pick up and drop off was easy from the airport in shuttle, just 5 minutes from the airport and the service was quick and reliable. Thank you for a great car and experience !

Cons: there were some misunderstandings or lack of communication regarding the reduction to the original price, which led to some additional emails after the pick up, but in the end the issue was solved

Pros: We liked the shuttle and were happy about the size of the vehicle.

Cons: We didn’t like feeling like we were being extorted by the agent. Additionally when we arrived at the airport we followed the instructions but there was no signage and we had no idea if we were in the right place. Our plane was late coming in and we were worried our car had been given to someone else. Check in link either didn’t work or had no confirmation, so we had no clue what was going on. Attempts to communicate via WhatsApp were not successful.

Cons: So, this was my first time renting a car. The overall impression was lack of information. The company did not have any car specific to what I orders, but the size was almost the same. Also I paid for insurance so if something happened, they would cover it, so I thought. When I got to pick up the car, I was told that the insurance I have bought didn’t cover the total deductible. I could choose to pay 100 more € or have 1500 € payment as a depositum in case something happend. I felt ripped off.

Cons: Trying to force insurance. Rotten smell of carpets inside the car. Window spray liquid tank damaged. No flexibility for deposits (only credit card or additional expensive insurance). The agent almost forces the customer to give only 10/10 notes for the satisfaction pool.

Cons: When we landed at the airport and came out from the exit there was nobody waiting for us and we did not know what we had to do, we did not know if someone was coming to collect us. I had to call the number provided. That was quite poor actually and is reflected in my scores (for instance agents were very efficient in the dropping off; much less in the pickibg up

Cons: Returning the car was aweful, they scammed me with the tank. Probably because we were standing on a hill the tank indicator said it wasn’t full but we just topped it right before handing it over. And then charging me half a tank is totaly insane.

Cons: Some technical issues on desk devices to sign the contract. The car didn’t have the GPS as requested, but I got a reduction of the price, so it was ok.

Pros: Efficient, friendly, didn’t try to upsell add-ons but were clear with responsibilities. Checking the car back in was seamless, they didn’t look for faults that weren’t there like I have experienced in the past with other companies. Shuttle to/from the airport was very easy and regular.

Cons: Me, 3 children and a friend were left on the island without a car. We came from Ukraine. Due to the war, we have restrictions on blocking funds on the card. So we offered to leave a deposit in cash plus leave our documents and we bought full insurance. They refused to give us a car and did not return the deposit. We rent cars in many countries. This is the first time I have had such problems. I absolutely do not recommend this company.

Pros: I signed a contract that said an amount of 2800 euros will be BLOCKED in my account, but the money was taken from my account. I returned the car in perfect condition, and they did not return my money still. My bank has officially notified me that 2800 euros have been withdrawn from my account from Drive on holidays, whereas Drive on Holidays says that they did not take my money. I will wait until end of the week to see if they will return my money. If not, I will start legal action.
