SIXT at Athens Airport

Cons: We had a disappointing experience with Sixt. The representative insisted that we sign a form stating we received a brand-new, perfectly clean car before we even saw it. Once we got the car, it was full of scratches and almost out of fuel. Although the staff member on site was polite, it didn’t help much — we had to drive around at midnight with two small children to find a gas station before starting our two-and-a-half-hour journey.

Pros: Very high level of frontal customer service. Super friendly, fast, easy to understand and very helpful.

Cons: The price was rather high. Yet, it's because I rented at the airport and also Sixt is an international company with very good reputation. So I was ready to pay a higher price for it.

Pros: Which service and easy to locate

Cons: Windshield needs proper cleaning from inside and wipers need to change as well

Pros: The car was great as was the drop off staff.

Cons: The agent that assisted me, who was the manager, was very impatient, critical and not friendly - I found this surprising. You just did not feel welcome.

Pros: Not much. Car lost windschield wiper within the first 5 km. Car was not cleaned correctly ( we found stuff from at least 2 prior clients). At drop off guy was not friendly at all.

Cons: I reserved a big with large place for luggage. I received small baggage car. You can check. The car was full of cigarettes smell and after l realized that cannot use the rear seats. No ability to close safe belts!!!

Pros: Sixth is the only car rental I consider as I always had the best service. Depends who is at the counter too, and availability but I got the chance to choose my car! Was also provided a modern model which was hybrid and saved on fuel costs

Cons: The car had a slight idea that the person before me smoked in the car. Not for this stay but when it’s more peak season, more personnel should be at the counter to avoid long queues to get served and given a car!

Pros: Very friendly staff and straightforward pick up and drop off process

Pros: Finding the car in the parking lot was easy, the parking lot is very organized and it was easy to find your way around

Cons: The vehicle I received had a significantly smaller trunk than the one I ordered, but the price did not change, there was a feeling that there was no one to talk to and that we were not being listened to. The work of the representative at the rental desk was very slow, he was kind and nice but slow

Cons: The entrance to the parking lot by the car is complicated and they did not explain to me how to do it, so I had to make a few circles on the airport territory just to find the correct spot.

Pros: The SIXT service we received was second to none. This was at Athens airport so I would hope it’s the same brilliant service regardless of where you are flying.

Cons: I’m convinced my credit card was cloned by the agent. He had opportunity to take all the details and then I had a call from the uk about 5 hours later with fraudulent activity on my card. I have informed my card company.

Cons: Everything was great. Perhaps for someone who is not accustomed to Athens Airport, finding your way to the car's parking spot might be a minor inconvenience. But this is the same for all rental companies in this airport.

Cons: they said that the full insurance without the deductible is not from them its belong to Discover cars and they doubt and refrain from backing the full insurance as something they stand behind(after all,I came to them from Discover cars) maybe she was just trying to sell me another full insurance...🤷

Cons: When I have asked for 12 days extention of rental because of medical reasons of my wife SiXT have quoted a higher daily rate than my original one week rental. So I was forced to deliver the car on time and rent a brand new mini through DC from Enterprise-Alamo with 50% lower daily rate.

Cons: The deposit is still unblocked 4 weeks once the rental is over. Never met anything like this before. Complete bizarre.

Cons: The fuel tank was with full only 7/8 and only after I demand to fill it we took the car to Fuel station with Sixt representive

Cons: The next time ask from the staff of Sixt to check the pressure in the tyres because I was receiving messages in the computer of the car that I need to check the air pressure on my tyres . I stopped in gas station and I spotted that the car need air on the three of the four tyres .

Cons: The fact that a scratch to the car was made by the previous user that was not accounted for in their electronic files but thankfully details were found in a hard copy so I didn't get charged for the the damage

Cons: GPS had no attachment to the car/screen & bag holder zip was broken and gps didn't work - but I got a full refund for that which I'm very grateful for.
