Alamo at Athens Airport

Pros: At the airport reception desk as well as at the car park, the service is excellent, fast and professional. If you read the rental terms and conditions and come prepared, you can finish filling out the paperwork in minutes.

Cons: This time the gas tank was less than a quarter full. Which forced me to immediately look for a gas station. The company employee apologized for this and of course I was told that I could return the car with the same amount of gas I had received.

Pros: One wheel was without air

Cons: I ordered a small car with room for 3 luggages - a Mitzubishi. I got a smaller car that costs less and we could not use the back seat because there was a valise.

Pros: super nice and very helpful and really good service and they apologized that they didn't bother with small damage smaller than the one they had around the neck so there was no need to check the car thoroughly for even the small scratches so it was just off straight away. super helpful with finding the right car seat and installing it correctly

Cons: waited for almost 1 hour at the check in desk when there were only 2 people working there should have been more after the long queue. and again out in the parking lot we waited for 15 minutes to receive the car and go through it

Cons: It’s a very long walk from the terminal with a lot of a luggage. I also wasn’t expecting the deposit hold to take an entire month to clear—never heard of such a delay.

Cons: I asked for a Yaris Cross SUV, which is higher and easier to get into because I use a cane and have a bad knee. The car was not available and a BMW lower car was substituted. I struggled with this car, to get into and and out of it. There were engine lights that popped up the dashboard about pedestrian collision warning systems so don't open the hood of the car. What if I need to add windshield wiper fluid? I was in Sparti, so I could not drive this car back to Athens for the month I had it.

Pros: We like Alamo service, not the first time in Europe that we renting from Alamo, we had a request to extand the drop time and there was not problem. Very reliable company so far so good.

Cons: The key remote didn't work. The front windshield wipers only partialy cleaned the rain water affecting visibility. The back wouldn't clean at all. Worn rear tyres. The suspension (probably) caused strange car behaviour on turns of bumpy roads (that are often seen in Greece). The squeaks and crackling from the interior and especially from the exhaust when tuned to certain frequencies were very intens, like driving an old dray. Cargo cover broken and the volume button was not working.

Pros: Έχω νοικιάσει πολλές φορές από αυτη την εταιρία και είμαι απόλυτα ικανοποιημένος Το προσωπικό πολύ φιλικό και συνεργάσιμο Κάθε φορά που επιλέγω να νοικιάσω αυτοκίνητο τους εξήγησα τι θέλω να κάνω με το αυτοκίνητο και που θέλω να πάω και μου έδωσαν την καλύτερη επιλογή. Επίσης είναι πάραπολύ επιοικέις με τις μικρές γρατσουνιές. Η παραλαβή και η παράδοση είναι γρήγορη και ουσιαστική ( δεν νιώθεις οτι περνάς από ανάκριση ) όπως γίνεται σε όλες τις άλλες επώνυμες εταιρίας.

Cons: This is the third time that a BMW car from Alamo/Enterprise brings tyre pressure error every second day. Weird and quite inconvenient but not a huge issue. The tires were on their very last days and possibly past them.

I was also misled to believe I had the top insurance but when I got to a lamp I was told it was only medium so had to pay quite a lot more money to top that up....Not Alamos fault but yours...

Cons: Van was not ready in the time indicated at the contract desk of 20 minutes, staff at pick-up point ignored this customer after stating it would be an additional 30 minutes and again when it took over an hour more. Too many excuses why the van was not ready in time.

Cons: Alamo tried the tried and tested 'let's rip of the tourist trick' so common in the southern European countries. During drop-off the inspection representative, without hesitation, went to insert the key into the drivers door only to say that it doesn't turn so it must be a new damage (no signs on the lock). The car ofcourse is pilot opened so majority of the customers would never think to check it before hand. I will never rent with alamo again.
