Dirent a car Greece at Athens Airport

Pros: Friendly, using Whatsapp for communication.

Cons: I feel that I was defrauded by the agency. I didn't get the car class I booked.

Cons: It will be easier to choose the hour of pickup an drop, and not be forced to choose from the options that the platform provides

Cons: They let me wait one hour at the Airport before picked us up to go to the rental car place. They didn't give me the car or similar one as we requested, they didn't send me the contract by e-mail as they said and the car stopped three times during our holiday because of the battery charge and at the end they wanted charge us for the cleaning of the car, they said "the car was too much dirty. It was just sand. Never again. My bad I would had be more precise about the contract and check everything.

Cons: Car barely survived 10 day rental period. Old cars dinged, schratched and service light blinking entire time, rent-a-wreck might be better. Not cleaned before pickup, and cleaning after delivery not included in rental price. 25euro extra charge at delivery. Bad service and poor English skills of personnel.

Pros: The staff were great, but I had to wait a very long time and end up paying extra because of technical difficulties on their end. As long as you have a credit card that has the tap function you should be fine though!

Pros: Used DIRENT before with no issues. This time the problem stemmed from the fact that my contract was handled by a subcontractor.

Cons: DIRENT staff is courteous & efficient. Their subcontract, ARES, wasn't. Giving their business to others without proper monitoring ain't good.

Pros: The customer service was great, but the car was not exactly what we were hoping to have (were looking for a toyota or nissan and got a fiat - the gas consumption was definitely a concern). Took as 90' to finally get to get our car, since we had prepaid for a GPS but it took forever to get one that actually worked. Hard for someone who is traveling for almost 26 hours with an infant. Again, customer service was great and very helpful and friendly, but I would hesitate to use Dirent A Car again.

Pros: The representative was trying to be fair, but it appeared to us that it was a charge that would inevitable and the way the company makes extra money.

Cons: We rented a Fiat Tipo SW and got a Renault Mégane of 2004!!! instead. This was clearly an old private car that was added to car park to maximize profits! We just saw one person and were not able to compare or change cars. In the future I will always hire via a decent rental company.

Cons: I arrived at the place and the car I ordered was not there, I did not take the car and had to rent a car from another company. The amount of the advance I paid was not returned to me.

Pros: We could pick up and drop off the car directly in front of the terminal of Athens airport. No need for a transfer.

Cons: The airco was not working correctly (only limited capacity) and there was a warning light on for the motor management system. We contacted the rental company about this and this was known and we could drive the car regardless. But this was not proactively explained when we picked up the car.

Pros: Car given (Peugeut 2008) not same category as requested (Nissan Qashqai). Ordered 2 children car seats, was given 1 booster. Car had 170k km, as a result engine fault message appeared during rental and it was disruptive to be replaced.

Pros: Good service. And almost at the time of pickup and drop off they call younif everything is oke and if you are on time. Its nice to know that they are waiting for you

Pros: The 1st van was clean and new, the second van was filthy, old and very low grade.

Cons: Inefficiency of operative. Car handed to us with 2/8 tank of petrol rather than a full tank. Difficult to arrange to hand a car back with 2/8 of a tank!

Cons: The pickup rutines, according to contract a person should be waiting with a sign at arrival, no one showed up, called at phone at 10 minutes, and arrived 10 min after call. Had to travel alone to pick up, and go back to airport for picking up my 5 persons in travelcompany, and the opposite at return. Too much waste of time, not interesting next time. I travel to Greece 3-4 every year and ben doing for the last 20 years.

Cons: Shuttle service brought me to a different location then I rented from, I’m in a foreign country, don’t know where I am and told you rented from a different office 30 minutes from here. The web page never said there was more than one location outside the airport
