Pros: Nice people, gave me a good new car, exactly as i asked

Pros: I used Goldcar a few times and always was good but this time was excellent. I got a better car than I expected, clean and in perfect condition. 20 minutes after drop off I had all the deposit back. Fully recommend.

Cons: Not a clear instruction as for the pick up in the airport. The driver waited out side while the instruction in the broker paper was waiting in hall #5. There for we was late and were picked up after 10pm. We was forced to pay extra 40 euro fin.

Cons: The increased amount of money locked in my credit card for warranty, starting from 1200€... Otherwise, fixed payed warranty from 87€ would be free of it.

(not the blonde clerk who served me). dispute of employees over their internal labor issues. the car was hit and in a miserable condition from everywhere so much that you are obliged to insure so as not to be charged damages that existed, on the return.

Cons: Couldn't move the car for days due to the snow, and i payed for all these days, by the time i dropped of the car they charged me extra 15€ because of one bar of fuel missing, even though i filled the car just before i left Athens

Cons: Roadside assistance is provided only after additional charge. The car wasn't in the best mechanical condition, therefore it is possible to pay for roadside assistance to send it back to the rental company if any issue appear.

Cons: The Goldcar employee charged us for insurance incorrectly. We filed a request for a refund and they have avoided responding for six weeks. This is completely unacceptable.

Cons: After booking and "checking in" online, I discovered there was almost double the price to pay when I arrived. I was pressured to pay for extra insurance which shouldn't have been necessary after paying for "full coverage" online. When I returned the car, I was rushed into the airport bus without being given any kind of receipt. Overall service was rude and caused a lot of stress. Finally, I am still waiting to be reimbursed for a full tank of petrol, several days after having returned the car.

Cons: The hidden costs of a 19Euro admin fee and the agents pressuring us to buy more insurance to cover accident and breakdown with them when we had already paid this with discover car. They did not recognize our purchase already made by discover car to cover insurance on their car and were persistent in getting their insurance cover (which tripled the price of our original booking). They required us to accept we had to pay for any damages in the return of the car. Highly disappointing company.

Cons: The guy who was handing me the keys was arrogant and rude and after I refused his attempts to push the extra insurance, was unhelpful and basically said we're not a proper customer so he couldn't be bothered to give us a good service! Shame as the others I've dealt with here in the past and this time in dropping off have been great. Always one idiot!

Cons: Our experience was horrible. First of all it took 1.5 hours to get from the airport to the center. The pick up point was confusing, there was no signs, the van didn't come for 45 minutes and there was no phone number listed to the Athens office that we could call to figure things out. We accidentally reserved two cars under one name. Okay, it's our fault but the person helping us was beyond rude. At one point yelling at us. Cons: Hidden insurance costs that we had to pay or have $1000 held on credit card yet they don’t even take American Express which I used to book the car! Also the female agent was rude.

Cons: We thought we would find the car at the airport, but there was a transfer. The people at the desk were unfriendly. A 1100 euro deposit was requested. They tried to sell extra insurance. 95 euro deposit was requested for the gas.

Cons: The fact that they do not take American Express. They cover my car insurance at no charge to me. I will never ever rent from them again because it costs me more.

Cons: *The car was smelly when we picked it up. *Higher cost was asked from us for the full coverage at the counter and since we had already planned our vacation there was not much we could do. *When we picked it up the employee told us we will get back 89 euros if we bring it back full and I was returned only 63. After I called they explained me that I had chosen the flex return option which I had not. How come they asked me about the rest of the options at the counter and not about this one?

Pros: Great service and quick to check in and check out. Was running late to the airport and decided to take me with a rental car to the terminal. Provided me with a car on the spot without a problem when my rental needed to be replaced.

Cons: No signs at airport. Shuttle took 30minutes to arrive at airport. Checking out the car took 30 minutes!!! Company put a $1000 hold on my credit card (rented cars 3 other times in Greece - none did this). But, car was great.

Cons: The issue with the insurance is not clear enough, although you sent an explanation. In order to avoid misunderstandings you fill you have to pay additional coverage offered by the agent, making the whole deal much more expensive than others. The fact that you need a shuttle from the airport consumes time and patient. To sum up- NA: Never Again
