CarQ at Athens Airport

Pros: The drop off was absolutely wonderful, and the agent could not have been kinder and helpful.

Cons: The car had quite a few scratches and marks so it was a bit stressful to go over the car as we picked it up.

Pros: No problem. Helpful. The first baby seat we got was broken and the second one (a much better one) came out wet after a bit of hesitation (we think they just washed it). Apart from that all good, efficient and clear. We returned the car two hours late but did not have to pay anything extra. Highly recommended.

Cons: Provided car seats that were not compatible with vehicle. Refused to help in any way and also refused to give a refund for the seats. Ended up having to drive to a children’s store and buy brand new car seats which cost me an extra $500.

Cons: For å levere inn bilen tilbake hadde vi avtale som de ikke har holdt. Vi har ventet en halv time og til slutt måtte vi reise til flyplassen siden vi kunne miste flyet. Vi ringte dere kl.7 da dere åpner butikken og en av dere sa at "dere har glemt oss". GLEMT OSS ?? Hvordan er det mulig å glemme sine kunder. Dette er uakseptabelt.

Pros: Selection and the quality of cars available and the driver that picked us up was friendly and helpful but thats where it ends as to what I liked about CarQ in Athens.

Cons: These people are dodgy. You need to take photos of the phone car and I mean everything. We started to take photos and then had the manager yell and started getting aggressive and then told us we are notvtobtake the car. After speaking to him and explaining that his assistant told us if we had stone chips we would have to pay for it that is why we are making sure we are taking photos and his assistant was making notes of existing scratches, dints etc he agreed to us taking the car. Pros: They were very courteous and helpful. If I had any questions they would answer it. I was supposed to drop the car off at 1pm but was delayed because of re routing of the highway and they were very accommodating to that.

Cons: Not so easy to find the shuttle at airport. Car model not as mentioned in the short description but similar class. I doubt that they have the suggested brand in their fleet....but overall the car was OK!

Pros: Initially, experience was positive. The location is far from the airport but they picked me up. The desk person was polite. Gas level was at 1/8 and gas station and not many gas stations nearby so that was bit concerning but it happens. Assistant surveyed the car (almost new, just under 1,000km) while I tried to get an eSIM & internet. I took a quick look and left.

Cons: Return, different experience! Staff who checked me out was rude when I walked in. Realized later- she's the "bully". She found "a scratch" in the middle of the lowest part of FRNT bumper, almost underbelly. It wasn't mine but didn't look there, so I was screwed. She charged 163 euros (found out it'd cost less than 40 to fix, which of course they WON'T DO). Car rental was cheap but with the "extra cost" the price was same to AVIS, BUDGET. That's how they make their money. It's basically a scam!!

Cons: The car we had developed an AC fault on the second day. We called CarQ and they suggested we drive back for a replacement. Unfortunately we were several hours away from Athens so it would have taken up too much time from our holiday. We then asked for compensation but they have so far refused.

Pros: Everything went very smooth! I’ve always used car rental companies outside the airport and never had a problem. Not sure why so many complaints are online. They are always more affordable due to the lower overhead expenses of those in the terminals.

Cons: I book C3 but I got an i20 with basic functionality: no cruise control, a non-operating USB charger, an unserviced car (the meter showed that the car was over the service period), and old and bad condition 4-season (bad in summer and bad in winter) tires. I booked the car with a full-to-full policy and they applied the same-to-same policy!
