Surprice at Athens Airport

Pros: Snelheid van inleveren auto

Cons: Lang wachten bij afhalen en negatieve benadering bij niet afnemen van verzekeringen

Pros: Awful experience at the pick up, he purposely DIDNT EXPLAINED where to pick up the car at the airport so he could cost us 30 euros of the delayed (we call before the boarding to explain we were going to be delay)

Cons: Awful treatment in the beginning

Pros: They were cleaning up your mess

Cons: The shuttle driver on the return was not the frindliest..

Cons: Forbidden access to greek islands with their cars. Blackmail of 600 Euros in cash do get the permission to take a ferry. Threat of GPS localisation to take the full 1000 Euros caution if the car takes the ferry. English version of General Terms of Sales different of greek version (Thanks to IA on time discovered)

Pros: Nice, kind and fun people, fair presentation of conditions. The agent did not try to push for company's own insurance, as I already had one from the website /aggregator. As long as one carefully reads the pick-up and drop-off conditions, everything goes smooth. Pick-up waiting time for the shuttle was about 5 mins, the same for the drop-off. Would use their services again.

Cons: I got charged 100 euros for sea salt stain on seat. This could easily be cleaned with soap and water

Pros: Nothing

Cons: The person thought it was funny that I left my driving license at home. Thought it was funny that I would have to cancel with no refund and jokingly offered to rent me the same I reserved for double the price

Pros: The price and cleaness of tje car

Cons: Time to hope the van to the Office

Pros: Easy and quick service. Process was streamlined. No time wasted!

Pros: NOTHING

Cons: Finally, the behavior of the employee was completely unacceptable. From the very beginning, he spoke to us in an unprofessional and disrespectful manner. When it was time to collect the vehicle, he spent about five minutes looking for it in the parking lot. After failing to find it, he simply left us standing there in the middle of the parking area under the hot sun for more than 40 minutes. The most surprising part is that the car had been there the entire time. The employee made no real effor

Pros: Car was clean and nice. Agents were pleasant on pick up.

Cons: When I returned the car the drop off went well and they said the shuttle would be back in 10 minutes to get me. I waited 30 minutes then asked the agents to check in with the shuttle driver. They said they would. He returned and I expressed I needed to go right away. The driver ignored me and left for the day. I told the agent I needed to go. I waited 45 minutes to get a ride back to the airport.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Besides that, the staff appeared bothered during both pickup and drop-off, even though no other customers were present. They also seemed to lack basic customer service skills. Additional customer service training could be beneficial, as this may not be entirely their fault. However, if you're looking for a place where minimal customer assistance is the norm, this location may meet those expectations.

Pros: Very fast and easy to get the car. Fast drop-off without any unexpected issues or charges

Pros: Very quick drop off and returning of the deposit

Cons: Took too long to pick up the car. Previous people returned car too late

Pros: Price was responsible

Cons: we have waited to for pick up in both ways, when arriving and leaving and lost lot of time, the car was full of scratches

Pros: Quick service, professional guys.

Cons: /

Pros: Very polite and helpful stuff that will help you on every step.

Cons: The system in use doesn't now allow quick check ins and check outs, slow transfer times.

Pros: Very helpful prople

Pros: price, speed relatively quick.

Cons: not 100% easy to find the spot, not necessarily on Surprice more on airport. car cleanliness

Pros: The car was in an excellent condition.

Cons: The pick up time was disappointing.1:45 is a lot of time.

Pros: So in total, I spent €374 through their platform. During the second rental, I experienced a serious issue — the car battery failed in a remote location. I lost almost a full day resolving the problem and had to arrange everything myself. Thankfully, the rental company acted responsibly and reimbursed me for the battery. However, DiscoverCars refused to fairly resolve the first issue and only offered €50 credit instead of refunding the €99.28.

Cons: So despite staying loyal to the platform, paying more, and dealing with multiple problems, I am left with a loss — and DiscoverCars, as a large company, is unwilling to return even the remaining €50. This experience significantly reduced my trust in the platform. I hope the company reconsiders cases like this more fairly in the future.

Pros: I rented several times from Surprice. Fast pickup on arrival, friendly driver, Superfast checkin and pickup of the car, cars are clean low mileage, checkout fast and no hassle. Return to airport is fast. Anton is a great help!

Cons: Nothing i can think of.

Pros: Good value. Good service.

Pros: Good service, transport an delivery + quickly return without any problems, this is my 6. Rent from Surprice, and not the last

Cons: Very rude staff when returning the car.

Pros: Quick and polite.

Cons: Though the instructions to meet the driver to take me to the Surprice pickup point were in the contract, it still wasn't exactly clear so ended up walking around and asking where the pickup point was. The instructions could be more clearly written.

Pros: We booked a small car (Opel Corsa), but could not fit our 2 big luggages to the trunk. They gave us a sligthly bigger car (Skoda Fabia) without any extra charge, so have saved our trip. All of these with smile.

Cons: No clear indication where the pick up should take place-many pick-up vans in an big area-quite chaotic. When the bus finally arrived after 40 min there were not sufficient space so in the end had to wait 1 hour outside (35'C) for the transport. The I received an 5-6 years old car with many scratches and bumps and in poor condition. When returning they asked us to scan a code to provide a 5-star review...When I refused they went around and asked my kids and put pressure on them.

Pros: They were friendly & heloful

Cons: Nonissues

Pros: Excellent service

Pros: Nothing

Cons: They lied to me

Pros: Nothing

Cons: I booked Volvo V40 as “intermediate elite “ class and they gave me “Fiat Tipo” as “ intermediate “ class and the agent was insisting that they are in the same class. And finally when I showed her the difference in the website, she said she has no upgrade for me and it is what it is. The car inside was full stains and the carpets were wrong sides. The car was noisy and brake discs were noisy even after the braking. The tire pressure error was on all the time. Steering wheel was shaking at 100km

Pros: I can recommend this car office

Cons: I am a repeat customer of SurPrice and was surprised they allocated me a terrible car with worn tyres and insufficient power to climb the slightest of slopes. Very disappointed considering I and my staff use SurPrice more than 4 times a month. I will be reconsidering this going forward

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Anything

Cons: We waited fot the shuttle in pick up. We had to call them to send the shuttle and it was more than 20 min late.

Pros: Very quick pick up

Pros: Excellent service

Cons: None

Cons: The tyres needed more air pressure

Pros: Transaction fluide. Agent super gentil.

Pros: Super nice staff. Very respectful and polite and helpful

Pros: quick pickup and dropoff.

Cons: no real complaints except for the drop-off but understandable as there were other customers and 1 in particular which was difficult and time consuming.

Pros: niets, oplichters!

Pros: The first agent (from Albania) was very nice and easy to communicate with. Although we had a problem with the first car, he worked efficiently to get us into an alternate car.

Cons: We had a flat tire within 30 minutes on the highway and had to put on spare and return car. Second car also had a nail in one tire and we found that tire wear was more than half way. Tire inspections should be done after each rental. I also got conflicting information between 3 different colleagues regarding extending the car return so gave up and brought car back at agreed time.

Pros: Didnt got the car

Cons: Didnt got the car cause the plastic card was a little out of date

Pros: Friendly customer service. Efficient service when picking up the car.

Pros: Fast, efficient, friendly staff, good explanations, good advice

Pros: Rapid pick up from airport, good car, friendly staff

Pros: Really good service. Did all the paperwork in an air conditioned office. It took overall around 30 minutes

Cons: It took a bit longer than anticipated to catch the shuttle bus at the airport.

Pros: Very good service. Nice cars.

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Excellent, almost brand new car for a very affordable price

Pros: Nothing. We felt deceived.

Cons: Old, ugly, noisy, very bad tires that significantly limited the trip. The only good thing about it was the air conditioner. And they ripped us with the insurance fee, as we rented a luxury car.

Pros: Easy to reach when you have questions

Pros: By problemen with GPS and massif traffic, nearly too late for our plane. The company decided to drive us to the airport full speed because their shuttle was returning from the airport. I really do not understand that some people write about bad experiences with this company. In the near future we will visit Chalkidiki and the man who drived us to the airport told me they have a car hire company in Thessaloniki. For sure, we will hire again our car with Surprice. No surprises!!!

Cons: Everything was top,no complaints! Thanks!

Pros: Everything was perfect , the people and staff at Surprice are very nice and super efficient and also very kind and efficient .

Cons: Nothing .

Pros: Very efficient pick up and drop off

Cons: The instructions to find the shuttle at the Athens airport is not clear.

Pros: We got the car we needed for an excellent price, team on site was professional and welcoming, didnt pay for full insurance and nobody tried to search for something to charge me extra (As we didnt damage the car in any way of course)

Cons: I order a Peugeot 308 after checking their website where it says that a station wagon is either a Peugeot or Renault. Ended up with a Fiat Tipo which is far more basic

Pros: They are a ripoff and if someone reads this I don’t think they should be on your platfoem

Cons: They are horrible

Pros: Car was oke

Cons: See 1st point

Pros: The service representative were competent and efficient.

Cons: The car itself was not in great condition.

Pros: Very kind people

Pros: Very nice and new car. I liked the fact that they instantly released the hold on my card unlike other companies. The car was new and a very good drive with many features

Pros: The car was according to order, no surprises.

Cons: Pick up was slow, the location is very far away from the airport. Not realistic price for 4 hours late

Pros: Super nice car and first time that the rental company gave me the same car as the description .

Pros: Good value and good pick-up/drop-off service.

Cons: Checking out the car was slow. Returning the car was also a bit slow. They should provide map for car return.

Pros: Friendly staff

Pros: Nothing

Cons: I did got a car from here. And the car on the highway was bouncing like crazy. The next day I did bring it back, And they said they will give me another one same. The second car was dirty as hell, but didn’t bothered me, Open the Caio inspection I did myself the car Was In very bad conditions with dents and scratches. The first part of that is like in the front right wheel, the huge screw inside the wheel and good thing I saw that And told him to give me another car. They gave me another car Sha

Pros: Helpful and friendly.

Cons: The price that i paid for the insurance. I think it was a bit expensive

Pros: Fast and simple procedure with easy communication

Cons: Old car with too many miles usage

Pros: All was great!

Cons: -

Pros: Great attitude and focus on the substance

Pros: Fan-ta-stic! One of the best!

Cons: All was amazing!

Pros: If all documentation are present then pick up / drop off is efficient

Pros: Quick efficient and the representative spoke some English as well

Cons: Took longer than expected to get the shuttle to the airport.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: It took about 40 minutes to get to the site. We got a very old, totally worn out car. We then had to spend several annoying hours with attempts to replace the car. Eventually we received a little less old and less worn out car.

Pros: Rental process is very easy. Flight delay meant picking it up the following day. Agent called and accommodated nicely. My return was also delay and they were accommodating as well. Provided lots of helpful information. Very kind. Would use them again without hesitation.

Pros: friendly and good information

Cons: that you can't direct from and back to the airport have te car

Pros: Dropping us back at the airport terminal

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Great car. It was diesel so it was great on fuel. Navigated the Greek mountain turns perfectly. Polite staff.

Cons: Pick was a little slow, but bearable.

Pros: immediate response, friendly people

Pros: John was fantastic, car was sound.

Cons: Nothing really, could do with a usb phone charger socket

Pros: Polite, friendly, professional

Cons: Slight delay waiting and finding the representative at the pick up point.

Pros: Molto disponibile il titolare, ottime condizioni dell'auto. Lo consiglio moltissimo

Cons: Avrei preferito la modalità full to full anziché stesso livello di carburante

Pros: αμεση εξυπηρέτηση παράδωση στο αεροδρομιο

Cons: Μια μικρη λακουβα - τρακαρισμα που υπήρχε και δεν ειπώθηκε

Pros: Can't describe the experience I had with Surprise. Amazing. Highly recommend.

Pros: Airport pickup although the agent wasn't at the airport to meet me although having the flight details

Cons: The car was the worse car in the lot and old

Pros: The previous customer before us also had problems with a credit card not being accepted.

Pros: the price

Cons: the car contition

Pros: Very good price. I rent a car for one month.

Cons: They charge 200 Euros for a tiny scratch (the real cost no more than 20 Euros). But, since they press the time I was leaving (dropping the car) and I had no time to negotiate and make fuss, I decided to sue the company. I took picture of the scratch.

Pros: They communicated well with me before pickup

Cons: The car itself was not in a good condition. Parcel shelf was broken, missing piece in central console. I've had better cars.

Pros: I received a disinfected new car. Everything was perfect. A short ride from the airport and their shuttle bus runs every 20’.

Pros: easy to comunicate. nice service.

Cons: not fast.

Pros: The leaser seemed unhappy that I also took photos of the car including petrol gauge which had been noted down inaccurately. I have my own insurance but this company say rentals over two weeks and a deposit is taken from your cc (not just blocked).

Cons: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/2016/07/paying-a-deposit-to-hire-a-car-beware/ - I paid a 1000 euro deposit and have already lost £27 to my cc company. The car was old 83K and they stated petrol at 6/8 but it was actually at 1/8 - on the final form I didn't correct this but the leaser wrote this manually on the form together with the car scratches. I didn't mind an old car because Gin Greece it is easy to scratch new cars (not through your fault but usually others!) Th

Pros: They are operating in an amateur way, making you feel that you're doing them a favor for giving them money

Cons: I happened to change two cars while my rental lasted due to the bad condition of the cars, no right.mirrors or bad tires, and all three of them were in the worst possible condition, dirty with broken parts, and broken roof materials

Pros: Expensive car for its category Dirty car Various defaults throughout.

Cons: They wanted to make money with any possible unfair way. They kept 250 euros form my deposit for a sctacth that was not done by myself. Three days after returning the car still I have not received the remaining amount of the deposit into my account. Avoid renting with them

Cons: Extra 100€ “island tax”

Pros: Very bad experience. They try to make money in any possible way. Unfair ans expensive.

Cons: Car in a bad condition, tyres had defects (loose air, I had to top up.all the time). Car were full of scratches.

Cons: Charging 1000 euro from my card after it was returned in the same condition as it was take. No claim was made. Why?

Cons: Very rude staff. Felt like they were trying to gouge us with everything. Would not recommend this place. Absolutely take a detailed video of your car if you rent from here so they can't scam you.

Pros: There was NONE waiting at the airport. We had to call and they told us to to a different location that the one on the agreement. It took us about one hour to start all the paperwork. There were many other people there complaining about their cars, some even returning them and asking for their money back. We kept on renting because we had an amount already paid but that place is to have second thoughts.

Cons: They were nice when we rented ( I had a problem with my credit card and we had to wait for my bank to fix it). Just the opposite when we return it.

Pros: They gave me a diesel car

Cons: No refund any money. I rent the car for 10 days and for some reason I had to drop it back in 3 days. I ask them for the refund or a vaucher for an other time but they admit that it is not in their policy.

Cons: They charged me an additional 10eu per day for insurance for not having an international license. I have rented from other companies and this was never an issue

Pros: efficient

Cons: shuttle rep was at wrong meeting point had to wait while he tried to find other customers not overly welcoming at office

Pros: Quick polite service

Cons: They have to make it more clear that debit cards are not accepted. And also, I was under the impression that I had paid full insurance during skyscanner, only to find out that this was not the case.

Pros: Professionalism of the agent, quick delivery to the car

Cons: Waiting at the airport until driven with the shuttle bus to the agency - on the other hand I had the time to make some phonecalls - certainly not to recommend when in a haste

Cons: Did not provide the car we choose Did not provide the correct item on bills

Pros: Nothing.

Cons: 1.They did not provide me with the car i bookes, but a cheaper. 2. There machine did not accept my credit car for the insurance and i had to pay another 80 euro for full insurance. 3. The car was not full with petrol. 4. I call them and inform them that i will bring the car one hour earlier from the time they open, around 6 o'clock and they charge me 25 euro for one hour. Never again with surprice rental.

Pros: Very Friendly and efficient

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Posibility to pay with debit

Pros: Fast and efficient.

Cons: The car could be newer.

Pros: The car was amazing and the representatives were fast and nice.

Cons: The agent was not present near the location mentioned in the booking. We had to find him by asking other car company desks.

Cons: One person took care of the customers She didnt check the car damages together, but fully checked when car was taking back

Pros: Nice car, agents were good

Cons: location

Pros: they got me the car I asked for hassle free very friendly service

Cons: 1 of the car side doors wouldn't open. The agent wasn't prepared to offer us another car. Agent suggested we go to a mechanic and have it repaired instead of organising the mechanic and paying for the repair. Was charged an additional 77 euros because I used my wife's credit card (I left my credit card in Australia) and she was placed on the contract as the second driver. We made it clear she didn't and wouldn't be driving the car.

Pros: No hidden fees

Cons: Pickup and dropoff takes some time

Pros: the price was good/

Cons: see above. this is my first time and my last time with this company/

Pros: easy, friendly, quick and efficient good ratio quality/price

Cons: some little difficult to find the representative at the airport car in good condition but not optimal

Pros: The car was clean and in very good conditions.

Cons: Although I booked a Diesel car I was given a Petrol one which in my opinion is a different category. I picked up the car late at night and basically I was given no choice and was confronted by the salesperson in a rude way. I will never rent from Surprice again and I would not recommend it to anyone !!!

Pros: Easy pick up and drop off with little time waste.

Cons: Shuttle wait.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: They are scammers

Pros: Brand new vehicle

Pros: We were a little late but they didn’t abandon us. Their representative hung around the airport and then stayed with us until the shuttle bus arrived.

Cons: They imposed what I thought as an overly large security. And they tried to pull a fast one regarding “damages” to the car. Had I not taken extensive photographs of the vehicle I may well have been charged for pre-existing damage.

Pros: Have used this company several times, due to the low prices. Overall good exprerience.

Cons: Big minus: They don't fill out in the contract the pre-existing damages, but take their own pictures. This is unacceptable. If I hadn't taken my own pictures too, where a specific scratch was visible, I would have had real problems, because it did not appear on their pictures. This car had a number of smaller scratches already. When I asked for a written confirmation that there were no damages, it was difficult to get it.

Pros: Nice guys, but fuel policy (car with no fuel and advise to give back car with no fuel) is against the agreement

Cons: Fuel policy

Pros: Easy meeting and pick up from Athens airport, quick office procedures. Cheap price.

Cons: The front tires of the car were worn out in a terrible condition, and nearly caused accidents in the wet weather. We contacted Surprice, who were 1. Very slow to respond, 2. Wanted us to go shopping around for them looking for a good deal on tires. Of course Surprice achieved what they wanted: We don't speak Greek and we weren't going to spend our holiday in the Peloponnes comparing tire garages. On returning the car, Surprice rep apologised - for us however that was too little, too late.

Pros: Absolutely - friendly, helpful, honest.

Cons: Nothing - they were great!

Pros: I use car rental a lot of times last year. This the first and the last time I rented car from surpice.Really can not remark sth good to this company.

Cons: The condition of the car was very bad. This company tries to compensate the low rental price by adding more charges.Dear future customers be prepared to pay much more than the rental price,a lot of unpleasant SURPRISES is expecting you.

Pros: Cheep price. You get what you pay for.

Cons: The car had been wrecked in the past. Car went into limp mode 4 times. Had to be towed to a dealers repair shop twice. Surprice refused to pay the shop. I paid the shop so we could continue our vacation. Surprice did reimburse me when we returned the car.

Pros: The team is very kind, professionnal and helpful.

Cons: This is only due to the distance between the agency and the airport. I need to plan quite some extra time for pick-up and drop off, which doesn't allow me to take very late arrival and very early departing flights. But the quality of this agency makes me choose them anyway each time I come to ATH

Pros: No hazzle with long paperwork, pick-up and drop off at the airport.

Cons: Everything was good

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff! Thank you

Cons: Very dangerous condition of first car. Tires very unsafe, motor not working. VERY long wait to get back to airport Insanely hard to find

Pros: Friendly and efficient

Cons: Nothing really

Cons: it is better to mention that there is no desk at the airport but that you have to call them directly that that they can pick you up
