Record go at Athens Airport

Pros: The cras was in good condition

Cons: The agent told me they don't accept US credit cards for the deposit

Pros: Helpful experienced staff!

Pros: Extremely pleasant, patient and informative.

Cons: There was nothing NOT to like

Pros: Not much.

Cons: - Not clear where the pickup is in Athens - Waited 2 hours past our reservation time for the car to be ready. - No discount, no communication.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: they gave us different car from what we rented, they made us pay for roadside assistance otherwise they wouldn’t accept our card for security, email sent with wrong information on where to drop off the car with result to be late for the airport!!!!

Pros: The car itself (Fiat 500X) was clean and in good condition, and drop-off was quick and hassle-free. The staff member who arranged our return shuttle to koropi was also very helpful.

Cons: Agent claimed their system was down and refused to do a joint walkthrough, so I couldn't get pre-existing damage (4cm+ scratch, rear bumper) verified or signed off together. Told to just take photos and compare at drop-off. Then rushed into signing the full contract on a digital display, no time to read it, right after being upsold €99 cover we didn't need as we already had extra insurance. Pickup point was also poorly signed - be mindful its not the one most people wait at, but further away.

Pros: Easy to find. Shuttle buses are new and the drivers are super nice and courteous. Even helped us carry our bags to the terminal. Price was very competitive.

Cons: Did not have the car nor the entire CLASS of cars I rented and were pushing me to accept a lower acriss code of a vehicle. Ended up having to argue with the attendant while my two starving kids whaled and cried in their strollers for 45 minutes in the RecordGo office while I worked to resolve things being super tired and worn after a 10 hour flight. Ultimatley had to slip the attendant cash to find me a proper car. I ended up getting a Toyota CH-R Hybrid which was a nice ride so all ends well

Pros: Car was less than 1 yr old, good condition. RecordGo were great to deal with, there was no hard sell for CDW insurance, I already purchased independantly.

Cons: Highly recommend RecordGo, Athens.

Pros: Pick up and drop off were efficient

Cons: I first received a car with cuts in two of the tires. After returning it, the check engine light came on in the replacement vehicle only 30 minutes into my drive, forcing another return. Only the third car provided was functional. This process wasted over three hours, and I did not reach my destination until past midnight. Furthermore, none of the vehicles were clean on the outside, one did not have a full tank of gas, and no staff member accompanied me to document existing scratches

Pros: The lady picked us up after a bit. Though they did stay open past their opening time.

Cons: Pressure to get insurance ultimately making rental double. This agent is more pressure than other agents. I had to wait as the van was full. Though there was an open van but did not use that one so had to wait till the one with passengers returned. The Fiat would loose speed going up hills on highway😳

Pros: Record go was good except that I had to cut my rental short by 2 weeks and was not reimbursed for this. ☹️

Cons: No reimbursement for early return.

Pros: Although very busy when I arrived staff were polite

Cons: Directions given to get transport from Athens airport to depot were incorrect. I was waiting for 20-30 mins for pick up to then find that it was about 200metres from airport building in small car park and not as described and where other car hire firms were collecting customers. I only found this out by calling the office direct.

Pros: Very helpful and polite staff.

Pros: Speed of drop-off, rental price.

Cons: Wasted more than 1 hour waiting for the shuttle. The meeting point was wrongly specified in the folder. Strongly advised by agent to cancel the DC insurance and take their insurance. Car not clean. No time for car check at pick-up.

Pros: Bus service to and from airport, very courteous. Drop off was wasy.

Cons: Over 2 hours at counter with the agent using scare tactics to sell me additional insurance even though i presented the documents tht Discovery cars instructed me to do. Very very poor service. Also the car I got had severe body damage all around and on the mags.

Pros: The car is literally broken down

Cons: Dusty and dirty car

Pros: Operativ,am primiy marca de masina comandata

Cons: Faptul ca a incercat sa ne vinda o asigurare suplimentara si sa induca teama ca in asiguarea achizitionata nu ai toate facilitatile

Pros: Good and professional

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Almost brand new car

Cons: Shuttle waiting area is quite a walk away. Could be helpful if airport dropoff right at the terminal.

Pros: Good car. Price.

Cons: Extremely long waiting to get the car. Nervous, not really polite staff.

Pros: The price, the service, the car condition

Cons: shuttle parking hard to be find - not where all shuttles but a little durther w/o any sign

Cons: I booked a car for 10pm but the agency didn't bother to inform me that they weren't working at that time and didn't cancel the booking. I had to rent a car at the airport for 250 euros.

Pros: Car was new and good. Friendly service.

Pros: Very easy transaction nice car friendly staffi

Cons: None

Pros: Everything was perfect, both pickup and dropoff was quick and easy. They asked about our target, and choosed for us a suitable car (to the mountains), so we could feel super safe during our drive. Also they transported us to the airport for free, and waived the deposit in exchange for discounted comprehensive insurance which was a great deal for us. I highly recommend them, they are professional and super friendly.

Cons: -

Pros: The cleanest car I have picked up in a long time, including major companies. Excellent condition overall.

Cons: There were some slight scratches on the side that were hardly noticeable due to the car being parked close to another, and hence they were not marked on the contract. I took some pictures anyway, and they saved me a charge upon delivery. The clerk was very understanding in this process and quickly resolved the issue.

Pros: Easy return

Cons: It was a long procedure in order to get the car

Pros: Driver was friendly. Agents good checking in.

Cons: Had trouble finding person picking up to get car location

Cons: They were pushing to buy additional insurance

Pros: Great car

Cons: Lack of pickup communication

Pros: The question is several times and I was very pleased. This time less so. The car was after an accident on the driver's door and that's probably why water got in when it rained next to the driver's seat.

Cons: Worst car I have ever driven.

Pros: pick up and drop off from the airport

Cons: all was good and very friendly

Pros: This place offers great value for money. The car was pretty new and worked well for us. Despite what discovery car states you can take the hire cars on the ferries to the islands. This is confirmed on their website and they didn't have an issue with us doing this.

Cons: We waited around 15minutes for the pick up and weren't entirely sure we were in the right place as there were no signs or anything. We were in a rush so ended up getting a taxi to the pick up place which was quite a way from the airport. The car had error messages, it was well overdue an oil service and had a low tyre pressure error.

Cons: The fact that I had full coverage insurance and they told me I had basic coverage with them and I should take extra insurance. They told me the extra insurance I had was with my broker and in case of a claim, papers would have to be translated. I didn’t take their extra insurance, but my mind was clouded , until I reached one of your agents who put my mind at ease.

Pros: Everything very happy and helpful

Cons: I was wainting nearly 1 h 30 min for someone to pick us up at Athens airport it was raining, Never ever happand to us with rental car, and I am renting cars for years, The lady who Picked us up was rude she said that no one was there when she came to the airport which was not an accurate things to say. Further more after such long waiting time my husband had to go to the toilet urgently and she refuse to wait one more minute. It was disturbing.

Pros: Very bad and rude agents

Pros: Record-Go was great. They provided excellent service, a good process, and a nice car.

Cons: My issue was not with Record-Go. It was with DiscoverCars. I opted for the rental insurance with DiscoverCars when I I came to pick up the rental, I learned from the Record-go agent that the insurance I purchased with DiscoverCars was not that helpful and that I needed to get insurance from Record-go. It would have been better if DiscoverCars made it more clear that the insurance they were pushing was not from Record-go but from DiscoverCars.

Pros: Agreed conditions were respected.

Cons: Nothing to mention.

Pros: None waiting in line to pick car up almost 45 minutes

Cons: Unorganized, employees

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Far from airport, need to wait for transfer between airport and service

Pros: New tires on the car.

Cons: They forced me to pay for their insurance instead of using my own. The price per day they advertise isn't accurate.

Pros: Everything was excellent . New cars! Competitive prices . I opted for extra insurance for piece of mind Which doubled the initial price but worth it . Very close from the airport and transfer was quick with company van

Pros: Everything was ok. The prices unbeatable. The car was new. They told me off the record, that they change them every year!

Pros: Car was great

Cons: did not want to accept that ihad done 20kms after filling tank. had to go and waste 230mins to find fuel to top up with 1.4 litres of petrol.

Pros: Fast shuttle service, helpful staff

Pros: Fast services, very good cars, prices are good.

Pros: Everything. The pick up and the drop off was very easy amd quick.

Cons: None.

Pros: I am not impressed unfortunately.

Cons: car in poor overall condition. You should check cars on a regular basis to make sure they are in acceptable condition and not a potential risk for your customers.

Pros: Everything was super fast and professional

Pros: Convenient location. Drop-off to the airport. Ability to make additional changes of the reservation.

Cons: -

Cons: Late fee was issued when we weren’t even late. I looked up the policy which said on the website that as long as the company was informed of being late due to uncontrollable circumstances then there would be no late fee. There in fact was a late fee given. Record go claims refund needs to be issued with discovery cars.

Pros: Sharp lear and easy rental deal. Pleasant personnel..!

Cons: Comically overpriced..! Kind of cheap-made car. Didn't feel strong and safe..! Not a good deal for this amount of money. High diesel consumption per mile. I said, yes, to the last question below out of courtesy (Did you receive the car that you expected?). I meant to say neither yes or no but it isn't applicable. That was a little pushy..! Still.. we wish you the best by all means..!

Pros: Nice employees and the hybrid car Toyota corolla

Pros: very nice and pleasant all the workers

Cons: Wasn't satisfied with the car we were given smaller than the one we ordered.

Pros: Would have gave Record Go a 10 if they did not try and give me smaller car initially than what I rented. I was supposed to get SUV that held 3 large suitcases but they initially presented a Fiat 500 that would not even fit 2. After a healthy debate with the representative, they gave me another car that was able to fit my luggage.

Cons: There were long lines and delays to pick up and drop off car waiting close to 11 hr each time to pick up and drop off car

Pros: Not aware about extra conditions before piking up a car

Cons: Some extra fees been required

Pros: quick and easy. good quality cars.

Cons: Finding the shuttle to pick us up.

Cons: The charge me 80 dollar mor with no reason. I left the car with no reject

Pros: Bad service with bus shuttle from the airport ( a lot of time to wait 30/40 minutes) Agent was not nice

Cons: Car with dirty chairs and tyres were old and smooth

Pros: Everything was set-up and ready to go. Return was a breeze.

Cons: I couldn’t recall the name of the actual Rental company so we did have to call to find out which shuttle was ours on arrival. A little frustrating but easy once we called and got the company name Record-Go.

Pros: Extremely clean new car and good service

Cons: Inability to waive collision damage waiver to be covered by your credit card

Cons: When we told her already had fully covered with DISCOVER CAR,her face turned sour and insisted to get another fully covered by Record-go costing 92 then lower to 77 euros but we denied. The car was covered with mudds. She mentioned the rain would was away in a couple of days. Asked more information about the car, she said she had lots of customers waiting for her and I would know the operation of the vehicle once on the road. She didn't even check the bodice of car .

Pros: πλήρη και άμεση εξυπηρέτηση. επίσης η κοπέλα που μας μεταφέρει στο αεροδρόμιο (Δέσποινα) απλά υπέροχη. Ευγενική και χαμογελαστή

Pros: Overall great experience Just wasn’t too happy about checkin. It got a bit complicated - I could pay with Amex but couldn’t leave a pre with security deposit. So I’ve had to use my debit card. Felt the clerk was selling the insurance too hard. Asked for an automatic and wanted to charge extra. Not sure why. Anyhow overall this was such great value for money, car was lovely and the staff lovely. Particularly at departure the gentlemen that checked me out and the lady that dropped us.

Pros: The service was smooth and the quality was great. The car was as I expected.

Cons: One and only claim I have is the insistent of the the Record Go Team to buy extra insurance. I thank for the proposal of their insurance but I heard that is unwise to risk so much and not to buy their extra offer insurance. It was really annoying.

Pros: Received car as reserved

Cons: Made to add refuel because of 3 litres of fuel missing too full tank

Cons: We waited 1.5 hours to get picked up from the Athens intl airport. The off-site location was very understaffed despite knowing that customers were flying in that evening. Very frustrating

Pros: Quick and super price!

Pros: Kindness

Cons: Trying to sell extra assurance. Car was not full of petrol. Car not exact , the ordered. Car was noisy

Pros: Non Helpful people.

Pros: Liked the car and that they were willing to help. Though the company ties their hands with their restrictions when problem solving is needed.

Cons: Didn't like the fact that they couldn't charge my credit card. Wrong pin number they said. Well...it was not wrong. I put it 3 times but card isn't locked. Soo... sth else is going on. I was forced to buy the security package. Relatives and friends I discussed with had same issues and were forced one way or another to buy the security package. It is not bad but the price is not even close to the booking price.

Cons: I didn't like that they forced me to buy identity insurance after I explained that I already bought insurance (from you)

Pros: Nothing exceptional

Cons: Hidden fees and insurance costs

Pros: Good car for value

Cons: Hard to find the van to get to dealer. We waited at least 45min

Pros: was as expected

Pros: What I liked : all of the above. Shuttle from airport, friendly and VERY helpful staff, choice of vehicles, quality of the car chosen.

Cons: The only difficulty was finding the drop-off location, using the GPS coordinates on the car papers, and the otherwise perfectly functioning navigation system of the vehicle. We managed, but it was a bit tricky.

Pros: Very efficient, really friendly and helpful.

Pros: Very efficient and professional service.

Pros: Great staff, got my deposit back quickly, hybrid car saves gasoline, no hidden fee

Pros: Great people

Cons: Great

Pros: The personnel are excellent. At drop-off, Despina checked us in, reviewed the car's status and drove us to the airport. She was very charming. She also gave us precise information on where to find the elevator to bring us to the departure level from their drop-off/pick-up point (arrivals). Record-go's location for car drop-off is the easiest it can be. Right at the on-ramp for the airport. I like that they constantly run shuttles to/from the airport. There is no waiting.

Cons: I liked everything.

Pros: Efficient, profesisonal, rapid and good quality car

Cons: The information on accessing the RG office from airport wass not very clear (please indicate a transfer van with Record-Go will be available at the spot - we spent 30 min at the bus stop and asked regular buses)

Pros: Good car, very clear insurance/cover options. Good value

Cons: It was not clear how to find the rental company for car collection

Pros: Easy to rent ,nice car.

Cons: The office representative barely speak english, the car was clean but not to the hight standards .

Pros: The staff was very friendly (for pets as well!). The car was practically new and in a very good condition. Certainly value for money!

Pros: New car provided

Cons: That they are unwilling to accept a debit card

Pros: Very good service and friendly staff.

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Good condition cars

Cons: The reception agent was so rude and was trying to force me to buy the insurance, to an extent that he told me “if you don’t buy the insurance you won’t get road side assistance” which is against the rental agreement with discover cars.

Pros: Nobody responded to phone calls, nobody came to the meeting point. So, I left back to the airport without car and have rented car from “Advance” rental agency. And interesting thing, that nobody called me asking: what is happened? Why you did not pick up the car? How we can reimburse your payment. I can call it purely scam and cheating. Shame on your company…

Cons: Nobody responded to phone calls, nobody came to the meeting point. So, I left back to the airport without car and have rented car from “Advance” rental agency. And interesting thing, that nobody called me asking: what is happened? Why you did not pick up the car? How we can reimburse your payment.

Pros: I never took the car they tried charging me more fees per day I’m still waiting for someone to reach out

Pros: Very good company good service new cars

Cons: No

Pros: Shuttle was easy to find as they had directions on the receipt. Driver was friendly and the car was available.

Cons: The inside of the car smelled like smoke, and there was a dent on the door. It didn’t prohibit functionality, but was just surprised they still owned the vehicle. No biggie. Smoke smell was a big deal.

Pros: The crew tryed again and again to make us tae an extra insurance and scare us that we will not have coverage and that no one will help us ...it was scerry

Pros: They were very patient with us

Pros: Very friendly, helpful and customer centric.

Cons: Was a bit far from the airport

Cons: The insurace cost twice the cost of the car

Pros: The car was new but the panel on the drivers side for window control kept popping off.

Cons: The bill wasn’t clear & the insurance discover cars was useless

Pros: Good car. Nice people.

Cons: A bit slow, but probably typical for smaller car rental companies outside the U.S.

Pros: Honest and timely.

Cons: I confused the name for the booking agency.

Cons: Computer system was down causing a longer wait.

Cons: the near-threatening language of the lady Not nice to start your holidays that way

Pros: At check out, friendly & efficient gentleman, car was great, shuttle service to & from the airport great

Cons: Could do without the high pressure at pick up, from the 2 women at the front desk, wanting us to buy extra insurance from them, when we had already purchased extra from discovercars.. said it wouldn't be honoured

Pros: Despina brought us to the next metro station after dropping off the car.

Pros: Extra insurance Bert expensive

Cons: Fast and nice people working

Pros: the cost of the car was cheap but the insurance was too much expensive....

Pros: The car wasnt clean and more specifically outside, it's tire, on driver's side was broken from the moment we picked it up and we had to fix it immediately. However, the car was new and very easy at its use!

Pros: The client service experience, the cleanliness of the car, overall value for money

Pros: I didn't like the service by Record-go.They didn't help me a lot.

Cons: In Greece since 2022 it is by law necessary the car to be equipped (months NOV to APR) either with winter tires (mud + snow) or with snow chains. The law implies penalty (80€) for not conforming. Car was not equiped with neither options but instead you could rent snow chains (per day fee) Unacceptable

Pros: Efficient, fast, close to airport and vehicle provided was excellent.

Cons: Representative insisting on extra insurance even though I said I was covered by my credit card company.

Cons: They wanted to pay 130 more for full coverage, i paid 80 in advance for the possibility of a non full gaz tank ,and when i asked ehy this or why that the girl in the help desk always talking about the company's policy . THE CONTRACT WAS IN SPANISH!!!

Pros: The excellent service which provided

Cons: nothing, everything was perfect

Pros: Great and friendly staff as well as new fleet of cars

Cons: All was amazing!

Pros: Didnt really like their service as they were just trying to take my money

Cons: Rudeness

Pros: Cristina was amazing 🙏

Pros: No toucheless payment in 2022???. tricky and non friendly rules (if I have debit card I will have to pay for more insurance program!!). Unacceptable

Cons: Don't accept debit cards for insurance

Pros: Everything as described!

Cons: Too busy during pick up. Although the process was less than 10 minutes, more than 30 minutes were required as there was only one person for everything. More stuff would be great.

Pros: The service was fast and amazing

Cons: The service was fast and amazing

Pros: Fast transport to and from the airport. The drivers where very kind and helpful.

Cons: The employee didn’t respect my contract. She asked a credit card instead of my debit card even if I pointed the regulation in my contract. Then I explained that I have rented several cars by record go with my debit card and it seems that she is not informed about the regulation. However, she didn’t accept my debit card. I explained that I will provide the requested credit card as I did, but then I am going to leave a negative feedback to the company. Anyway she informed me that she doesn’t care.

Pros: Up grade at reasonable price

Cons: Quick, great car, when returned no fuss and made up extra fee.

Pros: Easy, friendly, great price, no surprises, all as expected. Fab!

Cons: Pick up was very slow, waited about 45 min until we saw a shuttle, was worried we were in the wrong place til we finally saw them.

Pros: Everything was great !!!!! Keep doing the excellent job !!!

Pros: The car it was new

Cons: The company charge you more without telling you anything

Pros: Almost new, very good car, with lots of features on it.

Cons: The waiting time for their shuttle could be shorter.

Pros: the staff

Cons: there was nothing i did not like

Pros: The staff were lovely and everything was easy and straightforward

Pros: Very responsive staff willing to help.in any issue

Pros: Originally picking up the car was fine, but then when the car broke down the service of returning it and getting a new car was absolutely terrible. The second car we got was good though.

Cons: The Roadside Assistance number on the car was for Spain and not the correct number for Greece which added time and confusion to figuring out our cars issue. The company made us return the keys (which was normal) but then told us to got back to the broken car and wait for a tow truck. This took a considerable time out of our day and ruined our vacation, even though it was fully Record-go's problem. The representatives were very argumentative and not helpful throughout the entire process.
