Pros: Friendly, no pressure. Cost was exactly as described on Discovercars.com. No surprises. They sent us directions via WhatsApp as to how to find them from the airport, as they are a little off site, but not too bad. Car was brand new in excellent condition. Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent value. Would recommend to anyone based upon our experience.

Cons: OTOQ refused my rental due to my online bank card and pushed unwanted insurance. When I didn’t comply, they canceled the booking without refund. Others have faced the same.

Pros: We were given a very good car from Otoq. It had low fuel consumption, which was a big plus for us on our trip. The car was also spacious, making it perfect for our 3-person road trip. Overall, we were really happy with the car and the rental service!

Cons: We were surprised to learn that off-road driving was not permitted with the rental. We didn’t see this restriction in the rental terms when we made the booking (we're not sure if it was clearly stated), but luckily we didn’t plan to go off-road anyway. Overall, we were happy with the car and the rental service!

Pros: Recently rented a car from OTOQ, very pleased with a choice, cars are new and have all you might need, staff was very friendly and helpful, everything was great from the start to the end. Recommended!

Pros: We got a ford fiesta at OtoQ, with the premium coverage. Pickup was fast and only a short walk from the airport. The car was a little bit damaged all around, but nothing we cared about. Drop off was also fast. All around great service, definitely would go here again.

Pros: The OTOQ is very good, the service was very efficient and fast. They gave us a new Renault Clio, from 2024, super economical and very powerful, which helped us a lot on the roads full of curves and hills in Albania. In addition, the car had a display that connected to the smartphone, making it easier to use Waze and Spotify.

Cons: The agency is outside the airport, so you have to walk about 10 minutes to get there, passing through the parking lot for both passenger cars and other car rental agencies, which makes the route to find the agency a little confusing.

Pros: They allowed me to collect the car even if I arrived 2 hours earlier than agreed with no changes about the return time, they were very clear about the costs and very fast with no waiting time.

Pros: New car in good condition, efficient staff who were also very nice at the return and even drive us the few hundred meters to the airport terminal.

Cons: Mixed feelings with the staff at pick up. Traffic in Albania is a bit crazy and therefore they strongly recommended to buy the premium insurance. We insisted on keeping the basic insurance, and they didn’t take that very well. At least we felt that they tried to push us and they questioned our own insurances that we rely on.

Cons: We arrived at the rent car to pick up the car and found the following negative aspects: it takes a long time to deliver the rental car; When they delivered the VW UP to us, the car was falling apart, full of scratches, broken parts, a little dirty, the car looked like it had come from the war; On the same day we went by tiarana to Vlore and the car started to lose speed, it didn't exceed 10 km/h until it died. Then we asked for help and it was only almost 4 hours later that we received a replace

Pros: Guys were awesome from the get go, Really easy going and made sure we was 100% before setting off on the road. Car was brand new and valeted before we took it which really makes the whole trip better. Would definitely recommend using them and would use them again in the future! Only downside is the location of their office is quite awkward to get to from the airport but only a 5 minute walk.

Cons: I didn't receive in advance information about meeting in airport. As my phone was without internet, airport wifi didn't work, I cannot to find out how abd where to pick up my car. Company wrote / called me just via WhatsApp and this definitely didn't work in my situation. So I finally called company via romaing and spent 40 mins more in airport because of this. So guys just recommendation for the future - please send pick up instructions day before arrival.

Pros: The staff was capable to solve any problems, mostly young guys who spoke good English, we wanted to help with some uncommon things and it was no problem for them, after returning the car they took us just before the airport just because they want to, we didn’t ask.

Pros: Amazing service offered by various members of the team. They allowed us to deliver the car back ama little bit later than agreed to match with our departing flight. Quick and easy pick up and drop off over whatsapp.

Cons: Nothing. Just to bear in mind that maybe not everyone has data coverage in Albania so not able to receive the pick up instructions. Might be an idea to send this message the day before the flight.

Pros: Good location, service, and valuable local driving advice. In addition to this, good documentation, which came in handy during our insurance claim.

Cons: It was not the cleanest car I have rented, additionally it could have been scrutinised more before renting it out as we had a bit of problem with car fob and breaking light.

Cons: There was no meet and greet, we had to search for the car rental office. We got pressured into buying insurance. The car we got virtually had no brake pads, we almost crashed a few times during our journey. The condition of the car was much worse than what was advertised. Car was not full fuel. It sounded cheap but we ended up paying for a car rental that is double the price, almost the same price as renting in Switzerland after all the scam costs.

Pros: We hired our car with Oto-Q for our 8 day trip in Albania and the entire experience from arrival to hand over of the car was smooth sailing. Henry was super helpful and always on hand to answer any questions. The car was almost new and very well maintained, we had no issues travelling in the vehicle through the Albanian terrain throughout the duration of our trip. Would highly recommend and book again.

Cons: For the price, in hindsight, the car we got (2015 Hyundai) was not entirely what we had expected. During two climbs in the mountains, the engine overheated but the OtoQ-representatives were very responsive on WhatsApp to help us. In the end, it was part of the adventure :)

Pros: The whole rental process was good, all instructions were clear - the representatives were quick and on point. After the car was dropped by us we were transferred to the airport terminal.

Cons: The car was not in a perfect condition (multiple scratches), but it's not surprising while looking into the traffic and behavior of drivers on Albanian roads - however we have purchased full coverage with Discover Cars and the representatives of OTOQ pushed for purchasing it with them also - possibly that would be better than buying it from Discover Cars, more safe and time saving in case of any damage.

Pros: Our flight was rebooked - good communication to OTOQ who was very flexible in finding a solution for dropping off the car.

Pros: I especially liked the easygoing and very friendly staff. The car was good and the handover was easy. Very good experience.

Cons: We received the car with a very low fuel-level which forced us to immediately find a fuel station. Also in the end we didn't receive any documents nor mail when giving the car back to the company. Eventhough they told us that the condition of the car was the same and we didn't receive any formal notice. But tehse are just two minor thing, the rest was perfect!

Cons: The car was not at all good. Had so many issues like pick up, acceleration issue, uphill pull and cruise control. I have never driven such a non-reliable car in my whole life I even tried to exchange the car after 3 days by visiting the rental retailer. Apparently I was denied to get another car. Please don’t fool people with such services. I’ll never recommend discovers cars if you don’t fix this issue

Pros: Customer Support! Quick PIck-Up and and Drop-Off.

Cons: Car was not the one we choose and was not in a great condition (lots and lots of scratches).

Pros: The car rental service team in Tirana was exceptionally nice and willing to help us find a solution. We were offered free coffee at a nearby hotel as a compensation for the longer wait.

Cons: We are still not sure if the additional safety deposit demanded from us for Discovery full coverage insurance was legitimate. It was a lot of money and we did not want to end up in a sticky situation, paying out of our own pocket and then trying to get the money back from Discovery. We opted to pay another full coverage insurance (12€/day) with Tirana rental service because we were promised that any potential damages would be dealt with by Tirana car rental service.

Pros: The staff was super nice to us and the car was in good condition. Next time in Albania I'm gonna rent with them again, for sure! Couldn't recommend it more!

Cons: The garage service has not been done, brake noise, 65,000 km car already very scratched and the rental company charges 330 euros for an additional small scratch. The control of the bodywork was done by photos in bad conditions, because of reflections. Oto Q does deserve a very bad rating.

Cons: Refused to provide a spare tyre and we ended up with 2 x tyres that constantly needed to be pumped up

Pros: Andreas was super friendly and helpful. Car was clean and in good condition, and this appeared to be the case with other vehicles that we could see in the car park. Pick up and drop off very smooth and, while I'm sure they would have charged for any major damage or scuffs, they did not appear to be the type of company that was going out of their way to find flaws just for the sake of charging for repairs. We had no trouble at all & deposit released quickly.

Cons: A slight hiccup with pick-up. We were not contacted prior to confirm arrival time (and once arrived, did not have signal!). Office was a quick walk across the road, thankfully. OTOQ phone # on Discover Cars email was wrong :( Should be +355695374101. Car had no petrol (warning light was on) at pick-up, which I found a bit unusual. However, there was a petrol station within minutes so it was easily resolved.. and meant we didn't need to worry about topping off ahead of drop-off. :)

Pros: Andrea was a great help. He picked us up from the airport and was waiting for us as we came out. He helped us with our bags and drove us to the rental office. He clearly went through the rental agreement and made sure I understood everything. A really friendly guy. Highly recommended.

Pros: At our arrival we were welcomed & taken straight to the rental office. We quickly and clearly received all the necessary information and could start our journey. There was a small problem with a seatbelt, but it was quickly resolved thanks to the helpful and creative staff. We also had some questions along the way and immediately received reassuring answers via Whatsapp. When returning the car we even got a lift to the airport. Very satisfied with Andrea and his colleague at Tirana airport!
