CarQ at Tirana Airport

Pros: The car experience was really good they explained everything well and in detail especially Mateo he was very kind and professional when explaining everything to us.

Cons: Everything was nice and explained in detail. No concerns.

Pros: The car was freely upgraded and the guys workin there were kind and professional

Pros: The ease of all the staff, they detailed everything clearly and swiftly

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Wszystko

Cons: Wlssystko

Pros: Great

Cons: The insurance conversation in the pickup. It felt like the insurance we did in discovery cars is worthless.

Pros: The staff are very polite and Excellent service, excellent recommendations for the trip from the staff, The car is very clean.

Pros: Friendly staff, we got a different car then the exact one on discovercars but same quality and equally good for our needs. We arrived slightly earlier than expected but they helped us right away.

Pros: All went very smooth 😊

Cons: It took an hour to pickup the car though it was not really the fault of CarQ but rather the couple in front of us who upgraded their car from manual to automatic, after signing all documents, so the whole process had to be repeated. That’s mainly why the pickup took so long.

Pros: Explicit terms and conditions

Cons: There was a bit of a queue at pick up but the staff were prompt.

Pros: Staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful!

Cons: Nothing, everything was amazing!

Pros: The best part of the service provided by CarQ was the incredible people! Enxhi was our angel, from start to finish warm and funny and welcoming and guided us through the car rental, and also a shout out to Armando for his help as well! Seriously this made our trip so much better and was such a warm welcome and end to Albania to see Enxhi at the start and finish and also Armando at the finish! They were above & beyond helpful and really spectacularly kind - only CarQ in Albania it is the BEST!

Cons: Nothing it was amazing 100/10 - Enxhi our Angel and Armando are the best!!

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Everything

Pros: Thank you so much

Cons: Nothing ;)

Pros: Car was clean and in good condition. Their response for any queries during our trip was quick and resolved immediately. Pick up and drop at the rental company is hassle free as we took full insurance with them.

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Nothing

Cons: When we went to pick up the car, the person at the front desk told us that our Visa card wasn’t sufficient to cover the security deposit. I’ve never had any problems with it in other countries. After a long discussion with the agent—since I really wanted the car or else the whole trip would be ruined—I asked him what the solution was. He told me that the security deposit served as coverage for the insurance I’d purchased through DiscoverCars, and if it wasn’t paid, I’d have to take out additiona

Pros: Overall friendly service

Cons: Windscreen had a large crack

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Rude service agent. Degrading to women. Felt he needed to teach me a lesson.

Pros: Partially

Cons: There were no vehicles available for an upgrade at all.

Pros: Excellent service from start to finish. The car was in perfect condition and the staff were very professional, friendly and helpful.

Cons: Everything was very good. Just note that Revolut cards are not accepted, so you need a regular bank card. Other than that, everything was excellent.

Pros: The car worked and was clean.

Cons: Staff was generally unhelpful and rather rude which gave a poor first impression of Albania. Make sure to carefully read every line of the fine print or they will probably find ways to charge extra. Rather difficult to reach location on foot. Not approved by the airport.

Pros: The staff was super friendly explained the cars functions beforehand. The location was super close to the airport and inside the car was clean and everything worked.

Pros: - always got a reply on inquiries - price was great - car drove nicely and save/good condition, easy to operate - good choice of cars

Cons: - communication was a bit rough at times - had to get an additional insurance by the operator, which was quite expensive

Pros: Good car at a good price.

Cons: Agent worked alone so it took time to get the car waiting on others ahead.

Pros: The only positive part of the experience was the gentleman who delivered the car. He was friendly, professional, explained everything clearly, and provided excellent customer service.

Cons: Because we arrived three hours late, the car rental company charged us an additional €209, claiming that they had already given all the economy class cars to other customers and that only a “better” car was available. In summary, we paid €500. As for this called “better” vehicle, we received a Škoda Scala, which, in my opinion, is still an economy class car. On top of that, it didn’t even have built-in navigation. The employee at the rental desk who handled our paperwork was extremely arrogant.

Pros: The car is very cleane and new

Pros: Excellent service

Pros: Very Friendly, Helpful and professional staff. Especially Mateo! Incredibly polite and honest.

Pros: Fast delivery and drop-off and the helpfull staff.

Cons: The car had quite a few exterior damages when we picked it up. However, this had no impact on our trip whatsoever, so we don’t consider it a downside, just something worth mentioning.

Pros: The explnantion when I got it.

Cons: None. All was perfect.

Pros: service was great! we waited 10 min for our car en it was deliverd new and clean. Also delivering the car back was smooth. Overall great service!

Cons: none!

Pros: Perfect service.

Pros: fast, good cars, good service

Cons: nothing, all good!

Pros: Very good.

Cons: Nothing, all good.

Pros: Car was fairly nice and new, but obviously they are a sketchy company

Cons: They were lying to my face, and trying to take money off me which was not deserved

Pros: Snel en duidelijk over de auto en de verzekering. Geen extra verkooptrucs

Pros: Everything was great, especially Mateo when dropping off.

Cons: N/a

Cons: We purchased the car insurance Drew Discover cars, but the rental car company would not accept it and made us purchase another insurance program from them. Then, when we had an accident, even though we had full coverage insurance, they charged us €570 for a new car Can you help me resolve this?

Pros: The speed of the service.

Cons: The guy behind the desk wasn't friendly.

Pros: Everything was ease, fast, without any problems.

Cons: The price could be lower. The car was a bit damaged. The car did not have a tire repair kit.

Pros: The representative was truly helpful.

Cons: Nothing

Cons: The car wasn’t clean, the water for the windows was empty! They gave me a car empty of petrol so I had to find a place near the airport! Generally I will not choose it again

Pros: The people are very nice, very clear to understand, they all speak very good English and the car was in great condition

Cons: Everything was on time, the car was as ordered and worked perfectly for the 10 days we had it. CarQ was easy to find and parking was also easy and close to the airport

Pros: I liked the people who worked there nice people

Cons: Didn’t take Apple Pay ,

Cons: Different car then i expected.

Pros: Too disapointed to respond to this

Cons: I booked an SUV but received an old Volkswagen Jetta. CarQ refused to provide the booked vehicle or an equivalent replacement and offered only €40. With my family and luggage waiting outside in the heat, I had no reasonable choice but to accept. The car was in poor condition: faulty mirrors, non-working reversing sensors and extremely difficult steering. This was clearly not equivalent to what I booked and paid for.

Pros: Nothing, apart that company was not far from airport.

Cons: First of all arrogance of employees. Filling documents took quite long because from time to time the guys found necessary to chat or to do something different. I have pre booked SUV but got 13 years old (actually employee to my question how old is the car lied saying it has been build 2017) VW in terrible condition, totally worn down, with couple hundred thousand km on the tachometer. The engine fault lamp was always shining, so happy that car not stopped somewhere in the middle of Albania.

Pros: Really good service.

Cons: Good service and kind staff.

Pros: Quick and helpful

Cons: Friendly

Pros: Good communication and transparemcy

Pros: There was a mistake with my booking and I was unable to correct it through the booking agent. When I spoke to Car Q directly they corrected it immediately with no fuss even though it was last minute.

Pros: La disponibilità dell'operatore, ci ha spiegato tutto quello che c'era da sapere senza tralasciare nulla

Cons: La polizza extra fatta al momento un po' cara..

Pros: Easy process

Pros: Really good car. Minor inconvenience with original car not being available but were fair at swapping it over.

Cons: Payment issues felt like upsell

Pros: Good communication and easy pickup and dropoff

Pros: These guys are the best. When I picked up the car, they recommended an insurance option that was more convenient for me. And when I was heading back, there were terrible traffic jams near the airport. I called them. They told me that another employee would come and pick up the car right on the road, so I could run to catch my flight. These guys really saved my butt.

Pros: It was great

Pros: Just normal.

Cons: There was no trunk cargo cover in the car. The most important: touchscreen panel did not work with Android Auto whatsoever. I have sent video to CarQ with complains. No response. Reported that failure at the drop–off – no apologies, no nothing. Total neglection of the client.

Pros: The car was clean, easy to drive, and the service was very polite and friendly.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: This company are cheaters. They have a lot of profiles offering low cost rental and they charge 300% of any damage you did not do

Pros: New car in great condition, professional and kind service , good location near the airport, clear rental conditions.

Pros: Good experience, new and clean cars. Booked with full insurance and 0 deposit for ease of mind.

Pros: good service

Cons: nothing

Pros: Excellent service and staff were friendly and very helpful.

Cons: Nothing

Cons: Dostałem auto z rozbitą przednią szybą, pracownik był niezadowolony ze nie chce takiego auta

Pros: Everything went smooth, easy to find and they even dropped us at the kiss & ride of the airport so we didnt have to walk with the luggage!

Pros: The guys there were friendly and thorough,

Cons: Nothing really, they did what they promised. It takes a while for deposit to be released after return which is the only thing I would change

Pros: The car was new in good condition and realy economic. You receive full instruction what they expect and what you should avoid. Customer service was quick and everyone speak english.

Pros: Great help from local representative. And fast drop off no fuzz.

Pros: Car itself was ok, though the body of the car had damages all over.

Cons: A fine of 300 EUR was given for driving a bit on unpaved road. It's impossible to drive anywhere in Albania without hitting unpaved road. Staff agreed that absolutely no damage was made to the car, but insisted that a fine of 300 EUR cannot be avoided. Staff were rude. After signing the paperwork and asking to get the keys, we were told to "just go".

Pros: Everyone involved in the process was incredibly kind. The entire staff was helpful and accommodating, and even when we returned the car without a full tank, they were happy to simply charge us for the value of the missing fuel. Both the pickup and return process were exceptionally fast and smooth. This experience cannot be compared to some of the terrible experiences I’ve had with other rental companies in other countries. When we return to Albania, we will definitely choose CarQ again. :)

Pros: Car was clean and in good condition, although it was not the model we had booked.

Cons: During check in several credit cards were denied for no reason. Additionally, they intentionally blocked the deposit transaction multiple times effectively forcing us to pay an additional insurance that would 'waive' the deposit. They forced us to pay €200 more than the initial reservation. To make things worse, they don't allow you to use the car in mountain regions and will charge you €500 more if you do according to their GPS. Not recommended at all, avoid this place and book somewhere else.

Pros: They were incredibly clear about communicating the restrictions on the vehicle. Because of that there were no surprise charges because we were able to be careful and not break any of the rules. The agents at the car pick up and drop off location were also very knowledgeable.

Pros: The ease, cost, customer service (Mateo was extremely kind and helpful) and the car.

Pros: Very friendly and helpful

Pros: I liked the quick communication, easy pickup and return process, and the friendly customer service. Everything was well organized and stress-free.

Cons: Honestly, there was nothing major to complain about. Everything met my expectations and the experience was very positive.

Pros: helpful staff

Cons: car had some scratches

Pros: The team explained the process well amd suggested different insurance options even though I stick with the full cover insurance I bought beforehand. And last minute request for car seat was also fulfilled by the team.

Cons: Nothing

Pros: We got a nice car

Cons: It took a while to find the location and you have to cross a busy road, with a baby and suitcases it’s dangerous

Pros: Great service. Superb car. Thank you !

Cons: Hi, I booked a car, but the supplier charged me an additional €167.92. He said €40 was for a late pickup fee because I collected the car 2 hours late due to my flight delay, which I had already informed them about. He also told me that the full coverage I purchased through DiscoverCars would not cover everything and insisted that I pay €30 per day for full insurance, which I believe is not fair since I had already bought coverage through the website.

Pros: Very friendly staff, no hidden fees!!!!

Pros: Smoth procedure of the pick up and fast service

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Nice cars nice guys very good service

Pros: Agent helpfulness by pick-up

Cons: Wrong preparation of the car (lack of motor oil-approx.10mm below of the minimum recommended level, damaged detector of motor oil level, damaged wiper blades-scratching of glas with big noise by less intensive rain)

Cons: CarQ has no respect for tourists and we are very outraged by the treatment received. We consider that they have stolen €500 from us!!!

Pros: Nothing

Cons: This provider is not exactly in the terminal. There are no sign posted so you need to ask other providers. There is 15 min walk on the broken pavements and on the road from the terminal building. Customer services was poor. Car had uncountable dents and scratches. They do not have full to full policy, so I had to return with maximum amount of petrol in case they object. Getting to them and walking back to the airport with 2 children and multiple luggage was on a broken pavement was hard.

Cons: It's not in the terminal. You walk approx 500 m outside the airport.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: No features in the car despoten high price, high insurance price, no explanarion about insurance in neighbour countries, unfriendly people. No reference to DiscoverCars and what is covered and what not.

Pros: שירות מעולה החליפו לנו כיסא תינוק כי לא התאים לרכב

Cons: אהבנו הכל, שילמנו עוד 450 יורו על ביטוח כולל

Pros: Quick helping. CAR washing.

Cons: De deposito €550 to long before back

Pros: Smooth, quick, straightforward efficient

Cons: The building is a weird walk away from airport. Also the security deposit takes up to 1 month to return to your account

Pros: Everyone spoke good English, and good service. We had a few issue with the window opener button, and they broke while we were on the trip. They kindly let that pass without charging.

Pros: Small upgrade for free

Cons: Desk was not “in terminal” as promised on the voucher. Additionally, I booked this car with a minimum insurance which I thought was enough but actually I discovered once arrived at desk that this insurance was not enough to hire the car and I have to spend 120€ more to cover it…

Pros: Fantastic, clear and to the point

Cons: All great

Pros: Absolutely fantastic service from CarQ - top of the brand new DS3, amazing price, no issues, no hard up-sell at all and the deposit was returned quickly. Will be booking again for next year! Thank you!

Cons: None.

Pros: When I dropped of the car it was raining, kind sir offered free ride to Airport.

Cons: I didn't fully understand about difference between car payments with and without insurance

Pros: Overall good

Cons: Deposit and everything seems a bit unnecessary.

Cons: Was Supposed to be meet and greet, but nobody there to meet us at the airport so had to to find the office which was a bit problematic as it is not based outside the airport.

Pros: Service was fantastic. Super nice people withal answers to all questions. Pricing was also good!

Cons: Nothing. It all went very well.

Pros: Really good service from the staff, the even drove us to the airport

Cons: Everything was good

Pros: Lowest price.

Cons: We got a 8 year old car. Nobody was there waiting for us. We had to call them. Nobody was there when we leaved the car at 7:30 in the morning.

Pros: Fast contact, good services

Cons: Nothing

Cons: Don't buy insurance from the website, It's useless, you will Need to do another One to the desk f you don't want worries

Pros: Excellent service, responsive, helped out throughout the trip with any questions we had

Pros: the people were very responsive and helpful. it was very easy to connect with them to pick up and drop off the car. the staff was always very helpful and friendly.

Cons: nothing to say.

Pros: No unexpected charges.

Cons: The car could have been cleaner inside.

Pros: Friendly and pro

Pros: Easy reservation process and check in. Employee was super helpful for returning the car and even drove us to the bus station.

Pros: Nice service

Cons: being an EU citizen, having made the reservation through an active platform in the EU, there should not be an active GPS tracking of the vehicle without prior knowledge!

Pros: NOTHING

Cons: Very bad service they didn’t give me the car I reserved they gave me a car and promised me to change it yes they changed it to the worst hashbag

Pros: Once the initial contact to the rental agency was established then things progressed quickly and smoothly

Cons: GPS is not up to date

Pros: Rapidité et disponibilité du personnel

Cons: État général de la carrosserie (rayures, pertes de peinture, par chocs avec fixation cassée) et véhicule mis à disposition avec roue de secours dégonflée (compresseur portatif prêté par le loueur)

Pros: + we were offered a ride from the city to the airport where the car parking is + we were also offered a ride back to the city after car return + everything was nice and run smoothly + stuff was polite and friendly + cars (we borrowed two) were clean and in good shape + we enjoyed the ride

Cons: - one car was in a need for a service. We were told about it when picking up the car and there was no problem with it. But still, it´s bothering. - we didn´t receive any confirmation that we returned the cars - automatic gear would suite better the albanian traffic

Pros: Exceptionally service-minded and nice staff. Even drove us back to Tirana after returning the car.

Cons: Nothing
