Cons: We got flat and there was no spare tire. When we went to the tire shop to have the flat repaired, the mechanic was surprised that they gave us a car with 2 very bald tires. We returned the vehicle (they were very good about this part) and they replaced it with a far newer version of the same model. Cons: Didn't like the vehicle. When ordering vehicle online I requested a car aged between 2018 to 2022. The Toyota Aqua was a 2012. I requested a Toyota Corolla and it says you may be a similar car. A Toyota Aqua is not similar. It is much smaller and was hard to fit our 2 suitcases in the boot. The car had dents and scratches on it plus it was dirty. The inside too was dirty. I found food on the floor plus dirt. Hardly good enough and I would not use Yes Rentals again.

Pros: Shuttle service might be a little bit hard to find even with the instructions in the email, but the staff member's follow up call did help us to locate the shuttle bus. Moreover, since the majority of their cars are Toyota Aqua, that means you'd easy get a free upgrade from a pure petrol car to a hybrid one, saving the refueling money. And, as a Hongkonger, with most of the staff members are Chinese, communicating with them would be easy.

The staff I contacted first referred me to AA Road Assistance but in fact they are not using AA NZ as their insurance company, which AA NZ can offer no help as well. We got lucky with another referral by AA NZ to a local tyre company there. I understand it's hard to offer any help from the rental company with such a remote location but I think it clearly shows that they could offer little to no support for remote locations.

Cons: The car was very old and smelled funny. The Arial was damaged so the radio reception wasn't very good. When I told the assistant that I did not require the extra insurance to lower the excess. I was told he would have to make a call, like I don't have the right to not buy it. It was further from the Airport than expected and not convenient. I had to wait quite a while for the shuttle to pick me up and the shuttle driver did not get out and offer to help with my bags like the other drivers.

Pros: Staff were polite

Cons: Car of a different category/size than advertised was provided (supermini vs compact). Cars old and in poor condition - mine had no working tail lights and worn wiper blades. I was told I should replace them and would be reimbursed. Over a week later I am still waiting to be paid.

Cons: 3 people were delayed by airline....all charged the late fee of $45 ??????

Pros: Airport pick up / car was ready. Drop off was seamless.

Cons: Car had damage and after hours pickup has no one to talk to. Car was in the dark had to park under lights at garage to take photos of existing damage. Car was a hybrib with no manual or instructions on how to start it, took about 10 mins of trying different things to make it start.

Pros: Once we landed we were able to ring straight away and the shuttle was on its way.

Cons: Unable to inspect the car on pick up with a representative, the guy was the middle man doing after hours. He said take it under the lights and check it out. No copy of the contract I did online to write any faults found, there were a couple. Just handed me the keys and see ya.

Pros: Minimal service, they seem surprised every time I tried to speak to someone. I felt like I was interrupting them. Enjoyed the guy who picked me up from the airport.

Cons: I misjudged the prepay fill up and was short of petrol by one bar. Extra cost for this was, “Withhold $100 on my credit card until they fill the car. Then I would be charged $25+the cost of the petrol”. I chose to take car and fill it up for $18. I felt this wasa bit extreme especially as I had paid for full insurance! Luckily for them, I accepted the consequences without making too much fuss as I was tired and late for my flight, having checked in before returning car, he didn’t listen or care

Pros: easy to pick up

Cons: car was not properly cleaned, found a half eaten pastry under the seat. the drop off process was not that easy.

Pros: The young male ‘customer service’ man who picked us up and gave us the car was SO rude. He was talking in a Chinese language to a female on speakerphone all the way from the airport to the rental facility, then he was abrupt, dismissive and extremely rude to us as we collected the car. No customer service at all - it seemed we, his customers, were an inconvenience to his social life. I do not believe someone of that nature should be working in a customer facing role.

Cons: The inside of the glove pocket was very sticky. There was no manual or holder for a smartphone to use as a SatNav. When we returned the car, the key as taken from us by a young female worker with no word to let us know if we needed to stay to hand it over officially or whether we could leave. This company fails to employ appropriate staff or train its staff in manners or even basic customer service. Avoid at all costs!

Pros: he car we requested was what we got, we travelled for 5 days using the car every day and had no issues with the car we would certainly use Yes again

Cons: instructions for pick up we found them confusing

Cons: The car. No airflow at all, dodgy electrical system which meant at times the car wouldn't start. 114,500 km on the clock.
