Cons: Sixt is hard to reach, when you call them you usually get a recording and they don't call back the next day. When my windshield was damaged I was told to visit a nearby sixt location but they didn't help me or made a notification as I requested. They charge my credit card for 4000 NZD for some cracks in the windscreen before it is even repaired. Just send the invoice for the repair cost and handle it with the insurance don't bother me with it. I already paid for it.

Cons: The return desk at Christchurch airport was manned by only one staff person who was not able to check the vehicle as the parking lot was not close by and we had an issue with a cracked windshield.
Pros: The staff were really nice and efficient. I had to change / extend my booking because the cyclone caused a significant change in plans. No problem - everything sorted in minutes by email.
Cons: Directions to the All Shuttles pick up were a bit vague!
Pros: We phoned for a problem on the road, 30 min later someone came to help.
Cons: No instructions when picking up the car. Driving over the white line produced a reaction of the car that was very scary. Would be good to inform the clients.

Cons: Collecting the car took a bit of time. Changing the drop-off location would have been quite pricey - though that is understandable given that it was peak season in New Zealand.

Cons: Waited for close to an hour at the airport for shuttle. Had to ask other car rental places where to be picked up and they told me to ring the shuttle for pick up. At pick up took another hour to get the car. Plus bond which was never told of. All OK but could be better

A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.
There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.
The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.
A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
For driver licenses from countries not party to the International Driving Permit treaty, an official translation of the license must be presented with the original license.
In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the national driver license is not written in English.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.
In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
The deductible/excess amount is 4600 NZD.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, American Express credit card.
The following payment methods are accepted: Visa Debit Card, MasterCard debit card, American Express Debit card.
Only cards issued in the main driver's name are accepted.
All credit cards must be capable of the following: PIN verification; cards without this capability will not be accepted.
An administrative charge of 2 % will apply for payments made using the following credit card(s): MasterCard, Visa.
An administrative charge of 4 % will apply for payments made using the following credit card(s): American Express.
Cash, Diners, Prepaid cards is/are not accepted.
The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.
Adding additional drivers is allowed.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.
Delivery/collection service is not provided.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 59 minutes.
