Cons: The car was at 100.000 kms, which is quite a lot. I didn't check the model year, but the car was so old that it did not have an infotainment screen (no navigation, no carplay etc.) Other than that, everything went smoothly.

Pros: Snap is from start to end a disaster.

Cons: Snap provides junk cars that are not worth anything. I received a car from 2017!!! with 200,000 km. The leather of the passenger seat was ripped, the car was dented all over, and diverse components didn't work. This is not a car rental; this is a scam.

I was so nervous when I picked up the car ( coming from the US, we drive on other side of the road) I forgot to examine the car prior to leaving the lot. When I finally saw it, honestly didn’t know if the dent occurred with me or previously. The agent pulled up photos of the car and the dents were there prior to me taking the car. I was majorly relieved. I thanked him very much!

I wish this information was available before I booked, that I would need to buy the full insurance insurance from snap in order to avoid the hold on my credit card. However it was great.

Cons: 1. Pick up directions on the email should simply say follow the signs to ‘shuttle’ at the Auckland airport instead of the very wordy description that was confusing. 2. The car I received was very old and was very difficult to drive due to the fact that it didn’t have navigation / CarPlay or even a backup camera both are safety issues. On a minor annoyance, the car was all in Japanese which I had to play around a lot to even get the Bluetooth to work for the radio.

Cons: The car (Toyota Highlander)was booked reasonably late in peak season. It was expensive for the age and condition of the car- 2017 model, about 125,000kms on the clock and had many scratches and bumps. There were no mechanical problems. We loved the fact that it was a lovely big car with lots of space for everyone.

We understand office/ shuttle service didnt open until 8am but they should have a drop box that you can put your keys in. The guy took the keys reluctantly & left us to book an Uber. Cons: We waited a while to pickup - lots of people and there didn’t seem to be enough staff. It was a regular Thursday afternoon so I was surprised by that. On pickup on Sunday, there was a queue of people and one person serving. When we arrived there was no indication where to leave the car and no one came out for keys. At other car rental companies, someone comes out for the keys. That said, the vehicle was a lot better than at other companies and so I’m happy overall.

Pros: We changed our rental to a one-way from Auckland to Wellington. At which point we purchased nonrefundable flights from Wellington to Queenstown. When we got to the airport, it was two hours before we were actually at the Rent-A-Car counter and are informed we cannot drop the car off in Wellington, although our voucher says we can. So we decided to keep the car and turn it back in there at Auckland and we purchased tickets from Auckland to Queenstown, so we lost our original flight fares.

Cons: Then I received an email stating the car was past two and I needed to turn it in immediately. Do watt? Where in mid island driving around and no possible way of doing that. So I emailed back that we we would be there on the day we said we would be back, which was on the 22nd. And we did.

Cons: On inspection of the vehicle it was heavily marked and scratched with some denta. I took numerous photos so that on return of the vehicle had proof that the damage was there prior to me. I was told I didn't need to take photos as they knew thw condition but I wasn't happy to accept that. The car could do with some repairs or replacing. Pros: The driver picking us up was excellent. Polite happy attitude obliging. The office woman was fantastic. We were not happy about a couple of issues and she corrected it straight away. Very professional and excellent customer service.

Cons: I am not sure if this is a fault of snap but we did not appreciate finding out out booking was through a 2nd party not direct with snap. The booking was deceiving because we paid for full endurance then once we arrived there was a $2,000 holding fee. We were not happy as this is not fair to your customers as renting with your firm on line is not transparent. At no time whilst booking does a big sign come up if you continue to book and pay full insurance you will be charged $2,000 holding fee.

Pros: I was so impressed with the Customer service the young guy was so easy to deal with, so friendly & so accommodating

Cons: Car wasn’t cleaned at all. Had a film of dust over the whole car. Cars registration was expired in April and we hired the car in July. Very pushy toward insurance and we had to pay a $2000 bond, then they didn’t want to come out and agree on existing damage when we got the car.

Cons: If people coming in asking a question. Snap rental stuff are leaving the room and leaving your order for taking care about other people... They dont have a clean system dealing with customers.
