RentalPlus at Milan Airport Malpensa

Pros: Appeared to be a new car very clean. Easy to deal with. No arguments on my full cover as id read in some reviews. I had wanted to pick up car earlier when my flight was cancelled that was a sticky useless as DC dudnt reply until after the poibt where i could cancel. They told me this was only option cancel and rebook which was more expensive and it is an expansive choice of cars. Agent told me to check over the car for scratches

Cons: Not impressed I was asked to sign electronically then was told id been sent email with car defects which id magically already signed off.

Pros: Seamless pick-up and return of car with clear instructions.

Cons: The cleaning fee if car is not cleaned prior to return.

Cons: It’s a little difficult to understand where to get picked from by the shuttle bus as there are renovations at the airport

Pros: The whole service was excellent - the staff member was incredibly helpful ( wish I had caught his name ) explained everything and was really easy - shuttles too and from malpensa was quick and easy too

Cons: we would like to return the money for the service, since we did not receive the car for rent. After payment I did not receive any notification about the car. we did not receive the car for rent. we had to urgently look for a new option for renting a car in another service. very negative experience.

Informed us that car at the drop off will be charged up to 100€ for cleaning otherwise we had to select to be charged 14€ at that moment. This was included in our booking information.

Cons: Attendant at the desk on pick up was rude and unhelpful. When asked if there was a petrol station nearby he said to just google it you have a phone.

Cons: I suggest that you should inform about Adblue for the one who rent Diesel engine car, since like us was using the Diesel car first time and got trouble about Adblue, so we have to cut 1 of our favourite places to travel due to we were finding Adblue to fill. Furthermore, we have to pay Adblue by ourselves while the one who rent next to us, don’t have to.

Cons: They have an shuttle bus arrangement with a car par company and we had to wait one hour for the shuttel bus. Suspect the driver was at lunch since it was 12:00-13:00.

After driving the car for a while it started giving the alarm for need to do the maintenance service within 2000 km luckily i was almost at the end of my trip. The wanted to overcharge me for a pet cleaning fee not because the car was dirty (i used a seat cover) but because there was a few hairs lost under the passenger seat. The cost was 80€ + administrative fees or i go to a local car wash and get it done which cost me 8€

Cons: We called from the Milan Malpensa airport to retrieve our rental car after getting off the plane, going through passport control, and getting our suitcases, only to be told our reservation is now invalid because we didn't call within an hour. No explanation of within an hour "of what event" or any options for moving forward. The agent hung up and stranded us in a foreign country. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I need a FULL REFUND.

Cons: During booking it was not clear that we needed to be precise with pick slot and the booking voucher didn’t mention this post booking. So we want to collect our car (which was very difficult to find) and were refused it as apparently “late”.

Cons: Wait for more than 60 min shttle to pick me and other, waiting both standing ourside gate 5 , exposed to heat. When finally arrived proposed car have nothing to do with the class i rent ( they offered a duplo fiat small passengervan ) then told me i have to pay extra for automatic gear and extra 100 Euro if i want a middle size car : the one i took a Ford Juga diesel. Total waiting was close to 2 hrs from the time agreed in my rental. When return: half an hour to check & half hour shuttle in hot

Cons: I happened to replace the engine oil and the service desk forced to get the custom receipt to reimburse which costed me more than 5 different stops and huge number of calls. After all this hassle they didn't bother to reimburse while handing over the car and been advised they would be doing later in due course by customer service.

Shuttle service was super long, more than 30min we were waiting outside airport, again WITH KIDS!! And than we went to office, wait 20min more and they said that they cancelled our booking because we didn’t pick up the car at 11:00. We are traveling a lot. I mean, every second month. This happen first time.

Paperwork easy to understand and fill out. No hidden surprises, all as booked with Discovercars. Free car upgrade from manual to automatic. The car was brand new, only 4K miles and exactly the reserved model. Return at Pisa airport took 1 min. Extremely satisfied and definitely will use Discovercars and Rentalplus again.

Pros: It took us an hour to contact and get picked up at the Milan airport. It was a very confusing process just to get to the rental lot. Once there we made an error on the pick up date by one day and they told us it would now be over $1,700 to get a vehicle. The previous amount when booked was $400. Did not offer us a refund or much help at all. We went back to the airport to then book with Budget. We should have stayed with a company we were familiar with from the beginning.

Cons: It was a horrible experience. Suddenly our car broke down. We couldn't do nothing. I called for assistance, but is was impossible to comunicate in English. I called also to rentalplus office in Milano Malpensa Airport, but the staff wasn't willing to hepl us. After mamy calls and 4 hours of waiting assistance finally arrived. The car was not prepared good enough for rental, the mistake was rentalplus side. The cables under the hood weren't tighten enough strong. It was not save for us.

Somewhat misleading at booking - otherwise a good experience.

Cons: It was shocking service with RentalPlus - as I arrived over an hour late after my flight I was informed because it was after an hour they had cancelled my booking and they had no alternatives … I then had to look elsewhere in the airport… as it was on the day booking I ended up having to pay a premium and I had to pay over £650 more than my initial booking through an alternative company - it felt like a huge scam.

I waited close to an hour outside in the sun and had to run around with luggage in the sun instead of him looking for me (because he knows the place a little better) which caused me quite a bit of stress and nerves.

Pros: We had heard about bad encounters with car rental companies in Italy, and really made sure to research thoroughly before committing to one. We rented almost 3 weeks with RentalPlus and they didnt disappoint us at all. From the initial picking up of car, ease of payments, deposit refund, and dropping off of our rental car, everything was as seamless to the teeth. We will definitely book via Rentalplus for our future trips to Italy.

Cons: The initial pickup at Milan was a little unsure, as we only had data ESim and couldnt call the person. As the place was a 5mins drive from the airport, we waited for the van to pick us up. Luckily we found the pickup van. It would be better if we could whatsapp call or message directly. Nonetheless, everything went very smoothly.

Cons: Actually, the small scratch at the alloy mentioned after drop off, is not something that got added to the car by me. It was unnoticed during the pickup because it was negligible. Please do something about it if possible. Gratitude.

We waited at the suggested spot for nearly one hour and no shuttle showed up! We met another person who also booked online as we did got the same problem. Finally, we had no choice but took a taxi to get there and past the pickup time. We explained to the staff at the reception desk. She felt surprised too. Very unpleasant experience!

Dropping off: No one wait for us at the point at 11:00 am, like other companies. Very difficult to find free parking. Because of the pressure, we forgot a hat and purce with money. I connected by mail, a few minutes after the dropping of and ask for help. They answered and promised to call me back, but they didn't till now.

Cons: I had troubles picking up the car and waited so much at the airport. And also I extended my rent and got higher price. RentalPlus told me if I want same rate I have to go back from Lugano to Milan and have a new contract with DiscoverCars. Totally unfair!! I am returning the car tomorrow
