Traffic and parking

The speed limit in cities is 50 km/h, although in certain areas the speed limit may be reduced to 30 km/h. 

Main highways are limited to 130 km/h, non-major highways to 110 km/h, and local roads to 90 km/h. During the rain the limits are respectively lowered to 110 km/h, 100 km/h, and 80 km/h. The general speed limit is lowered to 50 km/h during heavy fog or other cases of bad visibility.

  • Bergamo. Just 60 km (42 mi) from the city center, Milan’s smaller, but equally charming neighbor offers the walled Upper City, great restaurants, and countless museums and galleries.
  • Turin. About 2 hours drive west of Milan, the capital of Piedmont Region and Italy’s fourth-largest city, Turin is sometimes considered Milan’s friendly rival. It offers stunning architecture, interesting history, and perhaps a tad more relaxed atmosphere.

Great, beautiful skiing in the French alps. Lots of tunnels = lots of tolls. Was glad to have teens to help push out of icy spots. Chains provide w rental. Hwy and streets well maintained and cleared. Beware of overconfident parents wheeling strollers onto pedestrian crosswalks when icy! Friendly region, great cider, cheese, crepes!

When we arrived at the rental agency to pick up our car the woman before us had an issue which took quite a bit to resolve. After that we were in our car, But had to return to the rental agency because the infotainment system was not working. They quickly got us in another car and off we went. The return went very easily in the representatives were extremely friendly. The price of the rental was amazing as well.

Perfect Company, perfect service.
Finding and getting the car was easy. It is very smart to offer a free shuttle from the airport to the office. I was greeted by very nice and kind young people and received the car very quickly. After a few days, a minor technical problem appeared with the car.I am an engineer myself, and I know that sometimes there are technical problems that you cannot foresee and avoid. I called the phone number provided. The staff acted in a completely professional and efficient manner. In about 15-20 minutes, they contacted a service center 2 kilometers from my location and arranged the repair, which was done immediately. I was also greeted with respect at the service center. After returning the car, it wasn't until I was at the airport that I realized I had forgotten my GPS device in the car. I called Customer Care, the GPS was found and subsequently handed over to a friend of mine, whom I sent to the Rent a Car office in Sofia. At all times I was treated with respect and friendliness by all of the Rent a Car staff with whom I had contact. Thanks to all of you.
