Felirent at Palermo Airport

Pros: The agent that received us was extremely kind, understanding and helpful.

Cons: Everything was as it should be. Maybe one of the agents at the drop off was a bit impersonal and slightly unfriendly but Rosalia was great again and made up for this

Cons: They almost got me with one big scratch on the non standard area of the car. Be extra careful with taking photos of the car before rental

Pros: The staff here are simply excellent to work with. I had a minor problem with my reservation and they were extremely helpful in getting through it and getting me the car. I will definitely use them again (and already have another reserved.) Thanks again!

Cons: I received the car with the statement, it was clean and had no scratches. I was asked to pay 10 € for cleaning afterwards, if I didn't want to clean myself. Turned out, the car was completely dirty from the outside and covered in scratches. Since I took a very detailed video at pick up, I wasn't charged anything at the drop off, but still paid 10 € extra for a dirty car. And I'm pretty sure, without the video, there would've been discussions afterwards. So I can only recommend to take the time

Cons: The women at the Palermo branch were unhelpful and seemed more focused on selling us full insurance than assisting us. As a result, it took almost an hour to finally get the car.

Cons: Not clear about the drop off fees of €100 outside their working hours upfront (time of reservation). Some people unfairly rated this company because of this charge. However, upon checking , this is the norm for car return outside their working hours in Sicily. You just have to ask beforehand. Also be aware car rentals in different countries have different expectations regarding damages. Some rental companies consider dents less a a US quarter in size are acceptable. Others are not. Buyer beware

Cons: - due to a delay on our flight, we arrived a few hours later to the pickup. when we landed in the airport, we phoned the office for instructions and they did not mentioned that they had given our car to someone else due to the delay. They also failed to mention that because of that, we'd have to pay an extra 90€ for another available car. - Had to return the car clean, and staff is very picky - staff incredibly rude, refused to show us terms and conditions before contract signing

Cons: Waited over an hour to be collected from the airport for a 10 minute shuttle to the rental site. No apology given. They lied about where they were, saying ‘10 minutes’ the 6 times I called them. Checking out the car also took a very long time once we were there. The rental service also charged us €10 at the start of the rental for a ‘cleaning fee’. This is not something I’ve ever experienced before when renting cars. Very poor experience.

Cons: Shuttle service out of airport. Harassed staff. No handover of vehicle (e.g. I had a hybrid and it would have been good to know how to use it). Explanation of the insurance was terrible. I was told I was covered so why was I sold extra insurance and they still charged me for rim damage to the wheel. Very difficult and stressful getting help with a flat tyre. It took 5 hours for a tow truck.

Cons: The car was not ready for us. We were charged 10 euro for cleaning of the car when we gave it back - and the car was clean inside and only needed a wash outside (I have NEVER experienced to be charged for cleaning before).

Cons: They claimed car was in perfect condition, without any damage. But I insisted to check and found many body and wheel damage and insited to note luckily. Because on the return they wanted to claim those damages right away. Good I asked to wrote those down. They also ask you to wash or pay for car wash at rental time.

Cons: We spent over 2 hours waiting to be served to collect the vehicle. The representatives were rude and wouldn't explain why it took so long. We missed our appointment to a winery for my birthday celebration due to their despicable service. When we finally got the vehicle, it was scratched all over. When we handed back the vehicle. Their free shuttle too so long we had to get our own taxi to the airport so we didn't miss our flight. It was the worst experience I have ever had with vehicle hire.

Cons: Their premises is out of town. We found it difficult to figure out where we were to meet their rep. Then we had to phone the company and we waited another 15 minutes to be collected. So- from being ready to pick it our hire car, to actually sitting in it ready to drive away, took 80 minutes. This is why we didn't give full marks. Everything else was perfect.

Cons: The employee of FELIRENT has a lack of language in English and did not explain to me clearly enough what we are doing with damage to the bumper. She was in too much of a hurry and expected me to know all his rules, procedures. In the end, his colleague explained the situation to me.

Pros: It took some time to get the paperwork done, but got an upgrade and a very new car. The staff where nice.

Pros: There was a friendly guy who’s dad was from New York to talk to but was also the guy that charged us $500 for a scratch on the car when we didn’t hit anything.

Cons: The whole crew took forever helping others that came in after us. Rental place was not at the airport and hard to find. The shuttle driver was a maniac honking at everyone who was driving the speed limit as he was passing car after car nearly avoiding head on collisions. Worst experience I have ever had and totally felt I was being taken advantage of. Do not rent a vehicle in Italy. It is total anarchy and someone will run into or pull right in front of you.

Cons: There are hidden costs but we had already seen this in reviews online so were aware we needed to make payment by credit card to avoid fees. It was quite a slow process to pick up the car but dropping back was really easy and they were really helpful and responsive at all times when we needed to reach them.

Cons: Felirent is not at Palermo Airport. I had to call them 3 times to get someone to pick us up (20 min or more). It took us more than 40 min to drop the car and get to the airport by the shuttle service.

But we have arrive to a Felirent on time, with my girlfriend who became our only driver and they without any excuse just reject my booking ( we have took booked car! ) took reservation fee.. than charge us double of fee for new ( understand that that is not connected to your company in anyway- just reporting )

Cons: The pickup was very slow and then we couldnt give it back at 7.30 on the last day.(we could have if we paid an extra 98 euros) so we had to give it back the day before for the same price. we had to pay extra for the way to our accomodation and then to the airport .. we wouldnt have booked it if we would have known that its not at the airport. the drivers were very nice tho.

Worst car rental agency I’ve ever done business with!!!!
