Pros: The staff were friendly, communicative and helpful. Pick up from the airport and drop off at the airport via the shuttle service is easy and faultless. The speed of the car hand-over at the end was fast and efficient with no aggrivation at all. It is the speediest hand over I have ever experienced with immediate shuttle transfer back to the airport.

Cons: The collection of the car at the start of the holiday took a long time - too long. Also I was advised to pay an additional 280 euros for insurance. I did this for peace of mind and this was down to me. However it really was an unnecessary expense as driving in Sicily was easy and not as crazy as I expected.

Pros: They made an effort, but unfortunately we had a very unpleasant experience

Cons: Overcharged for insurance, given a faulty van that broke down, lost hours of our trip waiting for assistance, and received a worse replacement vehicle – a very bad experience overall.

Pros: Brand new and clean car

Cons: Extra payment unless you clean the car. Collection from airport took about 30 minutes.

Cons: Scam. In Italy is almost always a scam with car rentals. 6th time in italy and the always have a trick!

Pros: Simple, open and honest process to pickup and drop off car. Maria was great to deal with. Car was clean and reliable .

Cons: There was a longer wait than expected at the airport. This would be fine if we had been through the process before. The WhatsApp communication provided helped immensely.

Cons: Unfortunately I have never experienced such bad service compared to minimum 20 countries where I have rented a car. They were clearly on to getting you to pay extra no matter what - even though we had the extra extra insurance, they tried to pin 3 scrathes on us - luckily we had video footage and proof that the scratches were there before pick-up. They had not filled up the tank with Ad-Blue so we had to search for it in the middle of the mountains - and then the company refused reimbursement

Cons: They make up their own rules and stole our money. If it wasn't possible to pay with the creditcard that is on my husbands name, but is connected with our combined bankaccount, it shouldn't be possible to do the booking!

Cons: The car was a bit too battered, hard to keep track of all the scratches and dents.

Pros: English speaking customer service. Pretty new and reliable car in a good condition, working flawlessly, pretty clean. Fast transfer to the airport.

Cons: Front window and side mirrors were dirty which was visible and uncomfortable during driving in the sun or in the night (we’ve cleaned them on our own). BRID didn’t know how to safely mount a baby seat rented from them. We’ve heard that they don’t take a responsibility for mounting a rented baby seat and we needed to follow the instructions printed on the baby seat. Not something I would expect while renting both the car and the baby seat from the same company.

Cons: The process of collection and drop off is carried by the same agents and if they are processing a check in which takes a long time you just have to wait. The majority of car hire firms have a person dedicated to cars coming back who check the car over and put you on your way. Not Brid you have to wait and the agents were not one bit apologetic about it. We were over an hour before we got going ☹️

Pros: Huge parking space, professional rental agents.

Cons: There was only one client in front of me, but I needed to wait for about 20minutes. Rental agent tried to sell me their insurance at all costs, even though I mentioned several times that I already had insurance arranged online.

Pros: Thorough check in and walk around car, friendly agent.

Cons: When I had a flat tire in a tunnel on a Sunday, they provided a Catch-22 situation initially by stating there was nothing they could do on a Sunday, but also demanded I didn't abandon their vehicle. When Automobile Clud d'Italia (contacted by me) provided towing and service they never contacted the garage despite my providing contact details, but provided me with demand that tire to be changed was exact same make which is hard for me to enforce, not speaking Italian and not being car owner. more

Pros: Everyone was incredibly friendly, and the free airport shuttle service was quick and efficient.

Cons: The car was not washed on the outside, and the time it took to pick up the car was very long and not very efficient as there was a queue of people waiting.

Pros: The whole pick up and drop off staff were really kind and helpfull with all procedure explanations and usefull tips. The car (Alfa Romeo Tonale) was really like brand new, with low milleage, under 10k km.

Cons: Additionnal and NOT specified fees because of the reservation being done with a debit card. This was CLEARLY specified when we booked the cars (4 bookings) and this was NEVER mentioned BEFORE payment. After payment, we received the voucher which specified additional fees for ABOUT 20€/day. It was finally 30€! Our booking went from 45€ to 157€! +440€ we were obliged to pay because we were in their offices and the Uber to come Back to the airport was 40€. Lack of time professionalism and empathy

Pros: Âpres avoir mis l’option d’une carte de débit au retrait, nous avons eu la mauvaise surprise de payer 3 fois le prix car nous avions une carte de débit. Ils nous ont obligé à prendre l’assurance. Notre prix est passé de 36€ à 157€ pour 4 jours !! Une honte ! Ils ont indiqué que c’était la faute de votre site !

Pros: BRID is not at the airport, so you have to use a (free) shuttle. Although that worked fine and quick, I prefer a pickup/dropoff at an airport itself. Douze points for the shuttle (driver).

Cons: BRID rental (Palermo) tried to sell additional insurances (and was really pushing them) although we already had full insurance via Discovercars at booking the car. We could resist te urge, but afterwards they made problems in accepting my creditcard.

Pros: Friendly and efficient and so easy to deal with. Always answered text queries promptly. Gabriella was our initial point of contact and she was so professional and helpful

Pros: Pick-up - it wasn’t clear that we needed to call for the shuttle, or where the shuttle pick up was. Need better instructions to find Brid. The pick up process was very slow. Drop off - it was hard to find the drop off location. When we did find it we also struggled to find the key drop. Overall since Brid is not one of the bigger agencies, you need to do a better job communicating so people can access you.

Pros: BRID car rental - Our car was "half" petrol half LGP (GLP) - LGP is 3 times cheaper in Sicily, so definitely recommend it.

Cons: BRID car rental - If you only have debit card, don't buy insurance directly on discovercars website, because you have to buy it on spot (I paid it twice).

Pros: Waited very long time at airport for pick up. I think they just didn't bother to come until another flight landed with more customers. Then ended up behind them in the pick up line. Drop off out of hours (paid for) only included lift to airport. They didn't check over the car and sign off on it till later. All was fine, but would like to have been checked out properly

Cons: Collection: off airport Palermo - 10+ phone calls until finally answered, shuttle bus broken down. 40min wait for small car to take us 20min drive to collection point in middle of nowhere, then 50min wait with v.slow staff/inefficient process. Finally ended up with filthy car I had originally been collected in at airport. Drop-off - Brid on-airport at Catania, I was accused of causing a dent, after 30mins of stress it was decided that dent had existed but not marked properly on paperwork! Awful

Pros: Relatively straightforward company with reasonable cars and (not the cheapest, but still reasonable) prices. At the end, they were also reasonable about (old) scratches wrongly documented.

Cons: The car had many small scratches documented, making it hard to keep track of all and verifying them on the documents. Document was sent hours late through email and missing some issues we identified. At return time, those issues were called out and it took some time and back-and-forth to agree that those are not new damages. (I don't mind driving a previously scratched car as long as those scratches are not held against me when returning, but I do mind arguing about those at return time.)

The combined service was a trap to keep the deposit money! - Transport from & to the Airport (rude) - Car pick-up: usual pressure to sell additional ensurance (already purchased with DiscoverCars.com) she tricked us with the car lock's damage (not registered in the form)! - Car Return: Another lady demanded to see a proof (foto,video) because the car lock's damage was not registered - that is a concious trap to get the deposit money!

Cons: Not a reliable car rental. We were charged twice the amount on the spot. They are taking advantage of tourists whom they transferred from the airport and who have no other option at 1 am in the middle of nowhere. Discover cars didn't answer in order to resolve this issue in 2 weeks!!!! Still waiting to hear from them!

Pros: We went through all existing damages on the car before signing the contract.

Cons: On return of the car BRiD claimed some old damages as new!! Rental company had inadequate documentaion of the old damages!!?? As I had documented all old damage with images I could prove they existed before rental. Poor handling!! Advice is to take pictures of all damages. Even the licens plates if looking bent or damage. ( licens plates not shown as part of the car) Also the car roof.

Cons: The girl in the office didn’t answer the phone for 40 mins AFTER our time of collection. Her excuse was she was too busy and she was alone. Later when the car displayed a fault, she, again wouldn’t answer the phone for more than one hour.

Thought I would pay 500+ Euro for a panda and ended up to pay 860 Euro. A good friend rented a Jeep Renegade with another company for way cheaper. I would not recommend neither of you both.

Cons: Brid sent me a text seeking copies of my documents in advance of picking up the vehicle which would speed up the pick up process. The problem was I was on my flight when they sent the text and so didn't see it in sufficient time to send copies. Perhaps if they sought copies of necessary documentation 24 hours in advance it would be an improvement.

Cons: waited an hour to be picked up from the airport for the shuttle to take us to the rental place, which was in Cinisi ~ 10 minute drive from the airport.

Pros: They have new or very young cars in very good condition.

Cons: Service in the office could be more efficient. I had to wait a long time for someone to approach me. The whole process took over 30 minutes and there was no line.

Cons: As far as I am concerned, they are insurance scammers. We waited 40 mins at airport for them. they are off-site, which is odd anyway. they spent a huge amount of time going over the car, which rang alarm bells. When returning car a slight gash in tyre resulted in 240 euros of insurance to be paid up front. Can I just add, the roads in Sicily are absolutely appalling, a tyre will receive punishment just by driving it off the forecourt. They made damn sure they were getting some sort of money.

Cons: Brid was terrible when we returned the car. They spent an hour trying to scrutinize every little tiny mark down on their hands and knees and then charged us over $100 euros for a minor scuff on the hubcap. They couldn't prove by photo that the scuff did not already exist. We don't think we did it. It's ridiculous to scrutinize so closely for normal wear and tear if you don't have proof. They took way too much time almost making us late for our plane.

Cons: Overcharging, charged a lot more than was promised, and did not get a refund. Car company bases it on unreasonable terms in the contract. Did not get the car we had booked, but a much smaller one. Would not recommend.

Cons: The location is far from the airport, staff was unfriendly, shuttle buses do not leave regularly, and the return process was the worst I’ve ever seen. They literally inspected every square inch of the car and debated whether a mark that was literally smaller than half of a pea was dirt or damage for over one minute with their colleagues. I have never seen such absolute overzealous incompetence at a rental facility in my life.
