GaldieriRent at Palermo Airport

Cons: Window were not clean. Car was dirty.

Cons: The telephone number did not work. 10-15 minutes later I received a whatsapp, but was not aware that I should check there. It would be easier to announce that beforehand.

Cons: They would not give us our pre paid rental because he we had only our us license and had forgotten our international one. Other car companies were not requiring it and neither Guardieri nor Discover cars are responding to our requests for our refund.

Pros: We had no problems with them accepting the condition of the car on our return.

Pros: Swift drop off

Cons: We were unlucky that only one agent was processing pick-ups and several people were in front of us, so it took a while

Pros: They were fast and helpful when I picked up the car.

Cons: The car had a small scratch, about 4 inches, that I believe was there when I picked up the car. They charged 410 euros for the scratch (almost double what I paid for the rental) and told me that they would not be fixing it... that was just the fee. I guess this is how they make their money on inexpensive rentals. Super frustrated and feel like I got scammed.

Cons: kind of slow pickup from the airport

Pros: outstanding value for money and helpful staff

Pros: Good service

Pros: GaldieriRent was good but obviously the coopertion between Discovercars and Galdieri is not good.

Cons: They were correct.

Pros: Agents sp9ke good English & were friendly

Pros: nice recent new car

Cons: WE only realised how exact one must be when confirming the exact hour for car pick up and drop off...we had written 10am nd we arrived at Palermo airport at 840..the rental car /Galtieri refused to pick us up saying we were too early and the car was not ready..had to wait for an hour before we could cal then for pick up...the car itself was good quality but externally not clean.amnd it did not seem possible that is was not ready for pick up earlier as it was sitting in the lot with 50 other cars

Pros: lady driver was very professional, and the people at the desk were very friendly and understanding

Cons: the male driver, who was driving us back to the airport, was not wearing his seatbelt.

Cons: Failure to highlight that they require a International Driver's Permit as it requires obtaining weeks in advance.

Pros: Price

Cons: Getting car was time consuming, and we were pressured to get additional insurance, despite buying full coverage from Discover.

Pros: the staff were helpful when i encountered a flat tyre and required assistance.

Cons: none.

Pros: Look - they were pretty friendly, but ultimately told us there was nothing they could do as they only rent to EU/UK licences. Was obviously not the first time they had told people this. Americans there in same boat.

Cons: Didn’t get a car

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Terrible experience. Unhelpful at attempting to remedy the issue. Bitterly disappointed.

Pros: Were efficient Nd quick

Cons: The check out , as per above comments

Cons: Everything was bad, I didn't rent and didn't get a refund! Will never use and never recommend

Pros: First class communication

Pros: Price acceptable. Service OK. I would use it in the future.

Cons: One thing: We bought full insurance package. I think this was the reason we got a car with lots of scratches and in a bad phisical condition. Car was dirty inside.

Pros: The car was not what we ordered, but it ran well. A bigger model than we had requested.!

Cons: I paid for insurance when I initially rented the car on line. When I picked up car - after a frightful drive to car rental & long wait. person checking me asked if I wanted insurance. She said I had third-party insurance, anything happens you have to pay us first and try to get your money back. So I paid $285 just to be sure. Woman waiting outside said yeah they do that. It’s a scam. We have had accidents and never had a trouble getting paid back! argh!!!

Pros: Great price, great service, great people. I wish they rented in the US!!

Cons: Honest, open service. So many people in renting cars in Italy complain about issues but this company is the REAL DEAL. Value, service and good people!!

Pros: Very good service, I recommend a lot ! Price was amazing and car was also amazing 10/10

Pros: Agent was very good

Cons: Unfriendly driver, took so long for shuttle, car was filthy inside and out

Pros: Gyors segítőkész ügyintézés.

Cons: A reptérről annak ellenére, hogy már a beszállító busz első alkalommal történő megérkezésekor is ott voltunk csak a negyedik alkalommal vitt be a sofőr!!!

Pros: The understanding that I was delayed dropping car off

Cons: Uncertainty over the insurance coverage, I think this is a problem more to do with booking via a third party

Pros: The agent, while delivering the car, did not identify an existing damage that i must later have to reimburse, very very strange!!

Cons: Very friendly

Pros: Accesibility

Cons: They wanted to sell me extra insurance even though i have had insurance already with Discover cars, then they were threatening, that they might not send all the documents to discover cars in case of damage, so i wouldn't be refunded if i dont take insurance at Galdieri. Mafia bussiness.

Pros: Seemed easy to rent the car and a friend told me about this

Cons: Because we stod almost an hour waiting for them to pick us up from the airport to the rental place!

Pros: easy and efficient

Pros: I was worried about renting a car because of the bad reviews I've read but in my case evertything went smoothly. I can totally recomend Galdierient to everyone beacuse of their professionalism.

Pros: i wasn’t aware the car rental was from third party which was very pushy to do the insurance with them otherwise in case of accident they were telling me all the cost, dispate i show them i paid already, i will never rent this way anymore, i couldnt wait until i gave back the car!

Cons: The give the keys in the office and i couldn’t find the car, also the car was fully dust on outside when i collected in which after checking the car i spotted was a dent on front door passenger site and reported, but they don’t show you the car, and if you don’t check on return can be an issue

Pros: car was in good condition

Cons: Service was awful - lack of employees to service all clients waiting at the airport for shuttle service - waiting time at the airport and then on location was over an hour - shuttle service is limited - not enough to pick up all party members - only person who is renting car can go on location - employees lack of service and often rude with clients.

Cons: Carseat for child was not in good condition...

Pros: Treated me with racism

Cons: Racist staff

Pros: New car

Cons: Drop up could be faster a bit

Pros: New cars, fast checkin and friendly.

Cons: Hard to find pick-up point as it said go to the “blue box” meaning the pedestrian sign. Other than that all good.

Pros: No discussion at the end of the rental

Cons: Drop off slow

Cons: Off airport office

Pros: I couldn't rent a car due to missing documents

Pros: Car was functionnal, pick-up ans drop off was well assured

Cons: Not allowing deposit from debit cards( even mastercard or visa) and making their own insurance mandatory to rent the car is the closest thing i've seen to a burglary in my whole trip. I know it's written it has to be a credit card but in france we don't use those and call any card a credit card, and i used my debit card multiple times in many countries without it. Ended up paying 300€ extra for a week. Stay away unless you have a credit card

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Everything

Pros: Friendly, helpful agents for pick up who explained the rules clearly (and remained calm and polite with other customers who did not understand them).

Cons: The first car's infotainment system broke but the car was very quickly upgraded to a better car.

Pros: Pretty upfront and honest about the car rental. Would probably skip discover and hire direct in future.

Cons: Nothing was fine

Pros: Chat via whatsapp was very smooth The company picked us up at the airport - flawless Car was clean, and in almoat new condition Pickup and drop off without problem Car check at pickup and drop off went smoothly, I didn't had the feeling that I was being robbed or that they wanted to make me pay for a scratch that wasn't visible. Recommended!

Pros: Did everything that I expected when renting a car

Cons: Difficult to find the depot for drop off

Pros: Very hard to find pick up spot in Airport - The Pickup spot was not with the rest of the Car Rentals, it was across the street. No one in the airport seemed to know where the spot was

Cons: Pick up was a bit slow. No one explained how to connect phone to car for navigation / other basic car functions. Phone Connection for navigation never worked properly. When car was inspected at beginning, it was dirty due to rain, we were not advised to look VERY CAREFULLY for any minor scratches on hubcaps. We checked for big ones, but when we returned car we were charged for minor ones that could have been there before - a cash grab

Pros: We canceled before we got car

Pros: Reasonable price.

Cons: Pick up and drop off is too slow, as there is only one pick up vehicle. You should have one more.

Pros: They didn't accept my credit card because it only had 2 months until expiry so they forced us to pay €400 for an unnecessary and unwanted insurance package to use my debit card. It's extortion!

Cons: They didn't accept my credit card because it only had 2 months until expiry so they forced us to pay €400 for an unnecessary and unwanted insurance package to use my debit card. It's extortion!

Pros: Was charged for a damage on wheeks i ve neve done

Pros: Pick up was great. All info provided. Shuttle from local hotel or airport was provided. Drop of was disgraceful.

Cons: Computer dictates - fuel cap system faulty with staff struggling open yet I was made to travel 3 times to local petrol station and refill as return of car could not otherwise be processed without penalty. Abysmal. Spent 70-80 minutes late at night and in total over 3 hours on the process.

Pros: Very helpful personnel, car in wonderful condition,

Cons: The deposit reimbursement process takes a lot of time

Pros: polite and friendly agents

Cons: we did not receive the car we were told and wanted

Pros: Great value and quality service

Pros: It was well coordinated, and quick. Free shuttle from airport, and back after dropping the car.

Cons: Everything was perfect.

Pros: That I will never talk with them again :)

Cons: The service, the arrogant kids that work there. their lack of ability to help

Pros: The agents were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Plus, they spoke my primary language. Their directions were clear.

Cons: Their lot near PMO is an unpaved, bumpy pit. They told me they don't rent hybrids. However, when I returned the car two weeks later, I saw a hybrid rental on their lot.

Pros: Easy to use and pick up.

Cons: Pick up and drop off is about 10 mins away in shuttle

Pros: Car was not cleaned before picked. We were forced to use the rental place’s insurance which was 3x. More expensive.car lacked power to go uphill. The wiper liquid was given empty

Cons: Agents were nice and helpful

Pros: They gave me the car

Cons: The car was not the one that I ordered, they cheated and charged me extra 226 euros, how can I get it back?

Pros: Fast shuttle service

Cons: Everything was perfect

Pros: convenient and quickness

Cons: nothing

Pros: The waiting time at check-in and check-out was reasonable. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Cons: Everything OK

Pros: Nada

Cons: Que es un engaño el precio inicial para terminar pagando más si quieres no tener que poner dinero en caso de daño. . Nos hicieron ir a una gasolinera a pesar de estar lleno el depósito para pedir comprobante de llenado. Muy cutres

Pros: none

Cons: The price what you pay online is not even close what you have to pay at present also lot of pressure put on you at picking car up to pay insurance at the end you pay more than you would just go and rent a car from the street. very bad system

Pros: Very nice personnel.

Pros: Bed service

Cons: The car was really dirty, both inside and outside. When we picked up the car, the curly-haired lady tried to sell me their insurance, claiming that the one I had purchased was unreliable. Upon return, we waited 28 minutes for the only shuttle to the airport, only for 8 people. I had to take photos by myself, looking for any damages without the presence of and when.I returned, they claimed the car was half full of fuel. Fortunately, it was stated in the contract. Terrible experience."

Pros: They gave my car away even though I had already paid. Causing me to spend $1000 finding a last minute car at the import, while they kept my money.

Cons: The service wasn’t even there. You have to call with WhatsApp and they have to come get you. Bad service.

Pros: No line, efficient, didn’t try to pressure to purchase insurance

Cons: Didn’t show the car at all, didn’t give a choice of car, just gave keys and said to go find it. They should be bringing you to the car, showing you the important things, and documenting any issues.

Pros: Car was ok

Cons: Accept revolut credit card

Pros: Great service, easy pick up and drop off. Simply have your documents ready and the car will be provided. I would recommend.

Cons: No negatives, great staff , accesibile location .

Cons: it was difficult to contact GaldieriRent when we arrived to arrange the shuttle, but after starting a quick chat on the company website we were given directions and were able to connect over WhatsApp

Pros: Drop off was quick and easy.

Cons: Waiting almost an hour to be picked up by shuttle, another hour to get the 2nd car, lady’s attitude giving us the car when the car had a malfunction..

Pros: Staff helpful

Cons: Location dusty and waiting outside without AC or even fan it was 33 degrees

Pros: I did not like anything about this experience. I arrived at the rental office and waited for over an hour in the extreme heAt of Sicily only to be told that I could not rent a car. I did not have an international license according to staff . A document of this importance to rent a car should have been clearly disclosed on the first page of our rental confirmation. We have rented cars in other parts of Italy and with other rental companies and we have never needed an international license.

Cons: I did not appreciate that I could not rent a car. You took my money and I was left stranded at the airport without a means of transportation.

Cons: not accepting German ID. Not business and customer oriented.

Pros: the price, short time of picking and dropping of the car

Cons: the localization of the spot (outside the airport area)

Pros: Brand new automatic car.

Cons: 800€ deposit .

Cons: the car was smaller respect to the booked reference model. AMC wave 3 vs Peugeot 3008.

Pros: Price

Cons: Courteous

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff including shuttle driver.

Cons: I did not like that you are restricted to pickup and drop off of car during their opening hours. I had to pick up the car the day after arrival and drop it off the day prior to departure.

Pros: Great communication. Contacted me on the day to confirm and met me effeciently at the airport. Great service.

Pros: They were efficient, easy, and well-priced.

Cons: GaldieriRent is a 5-10 minute drive from the airport. It's always a bit concerning to get to the airport and get in a vehicle and not know fully where you're driving, but it was all a great experience once we arrived.

Pros: Off hours drop off

Cons: No off hours drop off

Cons: Helpless agents

Pros: Service is quite impolite and very slow. Supposedly shuttle comes in a few minutes but we waited for half an hour.

Pros: Bad service

Cons: Everything

Cons: Location of rental lot up a dirt road in the middle of nowhere. Changed # of days rental needed from 8 to 4 and they would not make adjustments. Told me to take it up with Discovercars. They informed me that the insurance we bought from you was inadequate and sold me full coverage. I would like to be reimbursed for both number of days and insurance

Pros: Polite and professional service, car was ready and a great car in the category ordered. Staff were great, would definitely use them again.

Cons: No problem with this rental.

Pros: Macchina praticamente nuova

Pros: We were not picked up from the airport and after an hour of waiting for the shuttle had to make alternate arrangements. We expect a full refund.

Cons: We were not picked up from the airport and after an hour of waiting for the shuttle had to make alternate arrangements. We expect a full refund.

Pros: I liked the price

Cons: I didn't like the customer service. As I'm a foreigner they should be a little friendly and willing to answer a questions and bee a little more patient with customers

Pros: They spoke English

Cons: Information beforehand that a credit card is mandatory to have to rent a car here. My card is a debet card, which forced me to pay the full insurance doubleing the price to rent the car. I would have liled to know this beforehand.

Pros: Kindness of the staff. it is quite cheap and there is a van taking you from the airport to the location quickly

Cons: the car was not fully check before because we noticed a suspicious issue with one wheel and had to change car. the positive point is we could take another one quickly but it was not very clean. maybe a bit understaffed if several people at the same time

Pros: Absolutely nothing you should not represent thieves and dishonest people

Cons: Fraudulent charges on my credit card after dropping off the car

Pros: Ricardo was exceptional - was understaffed but managed to keep things moving efficiently and should be acknowledged

Pros: Galdieri was awesome!! 5 of 5 stars!

Cons: NA

Pros: The personal was very friendly and helpful.

Cons: The was on time and helped as every time when we need them.

Cons: droping off the car before 8 am was not possible. Took one hour to drop off the car te day before

Pros: Very professional service. The car was almost new and very efficient (Lancia Y Hybrid) so we really enjoyed it during our stay.

Pros: Even though I showed up without the MANDATORY international drivers license, the customer service representative was so understanding and patient while I went online and purchased an expedited license. You can pay a little more to get the license within 15 minutes.

Cons: There wasn't anything I didn't like.

Pros: The quality of car was good

Cons: The attendence to pick up and drop the car wasn't good, looks like they are doing a fovor to talk with you. To drop the car they don't have drop off box, so I needed to drop the car 1 day before because my flight was earlier to the office opened.

Pros: very professional, quick service

Cons: When trying to offer me their own insurance, they tried to scare me a bit, saying that if there is a damage, I will have to pay them myself 2000 euro or more, and only later get reimbursed by discover cars. Yet I stuck to the full coverage originally offered by Discover cars, and luckily no damage occurred.

Pros: Very fast and efficiente service

Pros: Everything was ok but I am still waiting for my deposit. Please refund it as soon as posible. Thank you

Pros: Shuttle came very quick, friendly staff and very good price for the car.

Cons: -

Pros: Initial price, sadly went up by charging me a damage I have not done at the end.

Cons: The car was much older than other rental cars before. Had 3 different brands of tires on, so not safe. It was bashed from outside - multiple damages - and dirty (especially seats) inside. And the cherry on top - they charged me for a damage I have not done. Never again.

Pros: Efficiency, car has cheaper equipment, but proportional good price. You do not need expensive equipment for small distances.

Cons: I can not find special remark

Pros: good attitude in the office

Cons: the driver who picked us up at the airport and then took us back to the airport didn't even help us with our suitcases! They don’t return deposit on my credit card until now.
