Cons: WE only realised how exact one must be when confirming the exact hour for car pick up and drop off...we had written 10am nd we arrived at Palermo airport at 840..the rental car /Galtieri refused to pick us up saying we were too early and the car was not ready..had to wait for an hour before we could cal then for pick up...the car itself was good quality but externally not clean.amnd it did not seem possible that is was not ready for pick up earlier as it was sitting in the lot with 50 other cars

Cons: I paid for insurance when I initially rented the car on line. When I picked up car - after a frightful drive to car rental & long wait. person checking me asked if I wanted insurance. She said I had third-party insurance, anything happens you have to pay us first and try to get your money back. So I paid $285 just to be sure. Woman waiting outside said yeah they do that. It’s a scam. We have had accidents and never had a trouble getting paid back! argh!!!

I know it's written it has to be a credit card but in france we don't use those and call any card a credit card, and i used my debit card multiple times in many countries without it. Ended up paying 300€ extra for a week. Stay away unless you have a credit card

Upon return, we waited 28 minutes for the only shuttle to the airport, only for 8 people. I did not have an international license according to staff . A document of this importance to rent a car should have been clearly disclosed on the first page of our rental confirmation. We have rented cars in other parts of Italy and with other rental companies and we have never needed an international license.
