Cons: I paid for insurance when I initially rented the car on line. When I picked up car - after a frightful drive to car rental & long wait. person checking me asked if I wanted insurance. She said I had third-party insurance, anything happens you have to pay us first and try to get your money back. So I paid $285 just to be sure. Woman waiting outside said yeah they do that. It’s a scam. We have had accidents and never had a trouble getting paid back! argh!!!

I know it's written it has to be a credit card but in france we don't use those and call any card a credit card, and i used my debit card multiple times in many countries without it. Ended up paying 300€ extra for a week. Stay away unless you have a credit card

Upon return, we waited 28 minutes for the only shuttle to the airport, only for 8 people. I had to take photos by myself, looking for any damages without the presence of and when.I returned, they claimed the car was half full of fuel. Fortunately, it was stated in the contract. I did not have an international license according to staff . A document of this importance to rent a car should have been clearly disclosed on the first page of our rental confirmation. We have rented cars in other parts of Italy and with other rental companies and we have never needed an international license.
