Cons: Changed the car as we were 2 hours late to pick up, have to pay additional charges for that. At the drop off they for a very small damage to the tire, that was probably there before renting the car.

Pros: It was very easy and quick to pick up the car. After a very poor experience with a different company the last time I was at Palermo, Sicily by Car were a joy to deal with. The drop off was easy and no extra charges or difficulties.

Pros: The only thing that I would say that was good about Sicily by car was its cleanliness and the support provided by DiscoverCars. Everything else I would NOT recommend

Cons: The service received from Sicily by Car was a disgrace. Upon collection of the car (in which we were late collecting due to a flight delay that was completely out of our control), we were appalled by the treatment we received from the agents. He was rude, aggressive & made us feel very aggravated and upset over the way we were treated. He was no way helpful and threatened to call the police when we asked a question about additional fees. It was also extremely hard to contact them.

Rental agency was completely unable to answer basic questions about charging. Waste.

Cons: Sicily by Car talked us into getting extra insurance so that if anything happened, we wouldn't have to wait to get reimbursed. Don't think it was necessary, but we took the extra insurance anyway to be on the safe side.

Cons: They threatened me about the Insurance coverage offered by yr Company and tried to force me to sign a new one much more expensive than yrs. The reason was that, in case of problems, I would have been asked to cover directly damages' costs since they don't have any direct agreement with yr Insurance Co.

Pros: The staff was friendly. The car provided met our expectations. The airport desk and car return areas were very convenient at Palermo airport.

Cons: Overall - excellent, but a bit too much pressure to buy additional insurance when we had already purchased full coverage at time of online booking.

Cons: tried to give us a smaller car than booked, asked to sign a vehicle damage sheet before we inspected the car, the car had far more dents bumps and scratches than on the sheet, I took photos of every one of these whilst still at the airport, a copy of the vehicle damage sheet was given at time of pick up but sent on via email, which is pointless if you dont have access to your email or a printer

This should have been topped up before I picked the car. I understand the car may have stopped working if the additive was not added. Who is compensating me for that?

Cons: I did not like at all that SBC is working in charge me for two missing plastics front door window sealing. For this reason as per to date they have not yet returned to me the 800Euro deposit on my Credit Card. Keep in mind that the car was returned with no damages caused by me on Tuesday 6th September 2022. I really appreciate if you can contact them urging the return of my deposit.

Pros: The best thing was the price 325 euros almost 6 days. However, in order to help future visitors, it is better to book a car insurance at the desk when you pick up the car because the car insurance of Discover car is not valid and it a different insurance. Anyway, the car was perfect and very clean.

Cons: The car I received was not what I was expecting. When I made the reservation it said that I would get a Peugeot 208 or similar but I got a Lancia Ypsilon. The Lancia is a smaller and much more underpowered car than the Peugeot. Also the Lancia doesn't appear on the website in the car fleet list. And the price was very high.

Cons: They switched the type of car we had requested to one with smaller trunk space. This was an issue and only by luck did they have one with enough trunk space. They were about to charge more but since we started to get upset they let us take it. It was inconvenient and stressful. I am glad it was worked out though.

Pros: They were flexible, correct and fast. The price was extremely cheap and the guy did not want to make us responsible for any damages (as it not obvious at every rental company).

Cons: The car has some type of technical issues for instance the clutch was already off and one tyre was constantly dropping the pressure, but I could deal with them and I can agree that I didn't get a perfect car for the price I paid.

Cons: The car was very low son ADBLUE additive. Luckily this was not an issue as we did very few miles. Had we been more mobile this could have been a problem.

Totally unacceptable wait times without any prior indication that this was likely to be the case. I would have used another car rental company instead had I known this before booking. additionally, the 'full to full' policy was mentioned several times yet my car was not totally full when I collected it. Estimate this cost me €10 extra when I returned it full. Bad practice in my view.

When the agreement was printed, I said that I refused to sign it since I did not want the additional insurance that Sicily By Car forced me to get. At that time, the representative started yelling in front of everyone saying that I verbally agreed and that I was forced to sign the documents. I will never do business with them again. Terrible experience.
