Pros: Speedy drop off and that was it!

Cons: Where do I start, the lady at the pick up desk charged me €457, €200 security deposit and £257 for the car rental. The only problem was I had already paid for the car rental through disover cars.. i asked for the overcharge to be refunded and was refused, when I insisted on being refunded I was sworn at in italian. This wasnt the only problem on pick up, I paid for a opal corsa or similar small models, I was told at the desk I had a MG HS which is a massive suv not what i had paid for

Pros: Fine pick-up eventough a busy night at the airport. Also busy at return and wait time but service was satisfactory.

Cons: I booked a JEEP Avenger (group CGAE) but got a Renault 5 EL Tech (group EB) which is a downgrade! (Car was fine but still a downgrade and price should be lower).

Pros: Car was upgraded from a Jeep Renegade to a BYD Seal 6 which was brand new. While this was a nicer car, the boot was too small for our luggage.

Cons: The staff took a hard-sale approach to extra insurance. One has to be quite firm in order not to end up with costly add-on insurance fees.

Cons: I was initially quoted 48 EUR/day + VAT in additional insurance when I ended up paying 17 EUR/day + VAT after mentioning broker booking. One of the fees I was offered claimed full coverage, when in fact the theft deductible was 2000 EUR. Multiple errors were done in charging fees on my card. The fuel tank was not full.

Pros: Nothing.

Cons: To pick up the car, I had to wait in line for more than 2 hours. The car was badly scratched and the interior was dirty. The windscreen was covered in white haze which made driving difficult. Staff didn’t warn that there was no gas station within 10 km from the airport making it impossible to return the car full. I thus had to pay a significant amount extra. I was not the only person complaining about this at the car return desk. This arouses suspicion of a scam to make customers pay extra.

Pros: I found the agent extremely clear, helpful and genuine. We have experienced issues in the past with car rentals, particularly AVIS group, but this was extremely pleasant. The process was very straightforward, and the agent did not try to sell us any extras or products or upgrades- which is a great benefit when you arrive to a country late at night and just need to pick up a car rental and get on the road . In addition, on drop off of the car, the agent was extremely efficient.

Cons: There was nothing I didn’t like about the service. It was 10/10 and would rent again from Maggiore.

Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 19 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU.
Driver licenses from all other countries must be accompanied with International Driving Permit (IDP).
A digital driver's license will not be accepted — you must bring your physical driving license.

Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.
Deposit and deductible policy
Deductible/excess will be charged per damage.
If the customer takes the following extra equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Ski rack, Snow chains, Winter tires, then an additional amount of deposit will be held on their credit card.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.


Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 15.10 to 15.04 in the following regions: Aoasta-Valley.
By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 15.11 to 15.04 in the following regions: South Tyrol.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 28 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
The supplier will hold the vehicle for 2 hours after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
