GaldieriRent at Bergamo Airport

Pros: Friendly

Cons: Could have explained what I was sighing on the I pad and that the car was ok

Pros: The car was quite new and well maintained

Cons: The people and the service of galdieri rent are very rude. No explanation at all, very unfriendly, and we had to wait sooo long to get our car.

Pros: If every conditions was avaible the pick-up, and drop-off was fast

Cons: It was not highlighted there is needed a physical card, and only kept the reservation only for 5 hours

Pros: Nothing

Cons: They had me waiting on a queue for 2 hours to pick up the car, and then charged me agaon for a car that i had already paid for. The 340 euros which i authorised with my credir card was descrobed as a deposit, but turned put to be that i was paying for the car a second time...very dodgy....credit card fraud?

Pros: Good quality car Very quick drop back

Cons: Pick up was slow with only one agent available for all customers Their collection van from the airport was small in comparison to other operators meaning everyone couldn't get on

Pros: Same day in booking. There was an car in two hours ready for pickup

Pros: The car was good and comfortable.

Cons: I arrived at the rental before closing hours (after a long delay of the flight) and waited for over 1.5 hours for 3 clients before me, by the time it was my turn the agent said that because it is after 10.30 PM she will charge me an extra 50 EURO for late working hours fee. Also she convinced all clients to add an insurance coverage of Galdieri and that other insurances paid via the website is not suffice for full coverage, and the client will be fully responsible for any damage.

Pros: Car standard, Staff friendliness, quick operatorom time

Cons: Car had a lot od scratches which makes me stressful when dropping off. Afraid to be accused of making some myself.

Pros: Super good service

Pros: The guys at the office were very helpful

Cons: We waited for 50 minutes to be picked up by the shuttle bus. The temperature was 40° and we were told lies all the time that the shuttle bus will arrive in 10 minutes. They need to solve these issues

Pros: Nothing

Cons: None existent signage for transfer bus. Car desk extremely slow and under staffed at pick up and drop off. Pick up took 1.5 hrs in a queue at their desk

Pros: Everything was exactly as agreed. The car was in excellent condition, and both pickup and drop-off were smooth and straightforward. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, a very good experience.

Cons: The rental office is reached by shuttle rather than being located at the airport, which we already knew in advance. We waited about 25 minutes for the shuttle when picking up the car and around 10 minutes when returning it. Not a major issue, though.

Pros: eveything fine, but a long waiting line to pick up the car. Only 1 person behind the desk

Cons: too long waiting line

Pros: We got brand new alfa romeo with only 1800km mileage and everything worked perfectly. Drop-off was very friendl and immeadiate without any issues.

Cons: The pick-up could be faster, there was only 1 lady at desk and we had to wait 30minutes.

Pros: GaldierRent were very good

Cons: Being charged the additional fee of 600 Euros

Pros: Easy to pick up and drop off. Clear guidance and honesty following drop off.

Cons: NA

Pros: Bad service no response no, any support

Cons: You take my money $500 and you don’t return for me anything you scam?

Pros: Cooperation

Cons: Great and helpful

Pros: Excellent car

Cons: Instructions re where to meet shuttle could be better. Car not on airport unlike competitors. Tried to upsell on collection. Not the quickest re collection.

Pros: The price was very good for a last minute trip

Cons: The collection and drop off times take far too long. To drop off the car the one agent that was on was dealing with a booking as such I had to wait over 20 mins to drop the car off. I’ve never had to wait to drop a car off. Collection also took a good 20-30 mins. The process is not quick at all. Luckily there were two agents on when I collected.

Pros: New car and friendly staff. No strict arrival or departure time.

Cons: Slow at the desk to pick up the car and waited a bit at dropped off.

Pros: Fast drop off, no insurance pitching during pick up, deposit unlock in a few days, shuttle to/from the airport, I have got the car model that I have booked

Cons: You should take pictures of all car scratches as on my rental agreement car was completely damage free

Pros: New car, clean, and well communicated-documented post rental inspection.

Cons: It takes a bit of time to pick up your car since you need to wait for the shuttle

Pros: Please check my comment above.

Cons: pick up time from the airport.

Pros: Very attractive price, almost brand new car. Generally fast in pick-up/drop-off

Cons: Shuttle from airport to office only took driver, needed to return to airport to pickup rest of family. Shuttle took long time to arrive. Not all good english speaking.

Cons: It took over an hour to pick up the car from when we arrived at the office. We wanted a petrol car but they only had a diesel car. The fuel tank was full but we had to findxa garage immediately to buy Ad Blue. If they are renting out modern diesel cars they should ensure that the Ad blue is topped up at the start of the rental. .

Pros: Helpful service, everything turned out smoothly.

Cons: Just a minor thing, it's always somewhat strange that you fill basically all the information online when booking (discover cars) but you anyhow need to add all the info manually again at the counter. Something to improve perhaps?

Pros: simple, stress free. transfers are fast front pick-up/drop off point :))

Pros: Car was good. Initially the company wanted to give me a car different from what I ordered. When I queries this they told me the car I ordered wasn’t available. On further questioning the correct model was made available.

Cons: The drop off was only available from 8am on morning of departure. This gave us very little time to get to the airport after dropping the car off. I queried this and was told they only opened at 8am or I could drop car off the evening before! Also the shuttle bus took a long time to get to the drop off point to pick me up which reduced our time more.

Pros: Informative, friendly agent

Cons: Far too long to return car and the shuttle required to reach the Galdieri added a significant strain to our journey. Would not recommend.

Cons: Should be more shuttles, especially during the crowded hours.

Pros: Great price for the car. Was essentially a new car!

Pros: Very easy and friendly

Pros: Good price, good car

Cons: They asked for a supplement of money at drop off because they made a mistake at pick-up and mentioned the hour of return as 13 instead of 19 which was on the voucher. I didn't notice this at pick up. So they charged me another 62 euro because of 5 hours of "being late" ( even that I came back at 6 pm instead of 7 pm which I had on the voucher)

Pros: Very helpful people. I booked at the wrong airport and though it was very difficult to reach the right people and phone numbers they helped immediately

Cons: The pick-up point at the airport did not appear in the voucher and was really hard to find.

Pros: Both pick up and drop off were smooth. Staff were helpful. Importantly released the deposit as soon as I dropped off the car. Didn't have to wait forever like my previous rental.

Cons: Nothing else.

Cons: There was no document with existing damages, I had to take my own photos of it when we pick up the car. I prefer to get a document from the rental company at pick up.

Pros: Fast drop-off

Cons: Very long pick-up time. Terrible behaviour.

Pros: Everything was done quickly and politely. The car rental process was quite simple. The price was more than excellent. The car was practically new.

Cons: We waited quite a long time for the shuttle from the airport (about 20-30 minutes), but that's not a big deal. The car wasn't very clean inside and smelled strongly of cigarettes. But considering the price of the car (very affordable for a very good car), it was all forgivable.

Pros: Quality of car

Cons: Try to imply my car wasn’t insured and I had to pay an additional £150, luckily I’d read DiscoverCars email saying they would try this and not to purchase as already insured.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: They did not give me the car at all.

Pros: they are very friendly

Cons: The pick up at the airport was very smow. I had to wait about 50 min. I could not reach the office by phone

Pros: Service was great. Can recomend to everyone. Easy as to order espresso in bar.

Cons: .

Pros: We kregen een bijna nieuwe auto mee. Stond pas 3000 km op de teller.

Cons: Enige minpunt, de tank was bij ophalen niet volledig vol.

Pros: Very efficient and fast easy transfers.. No issues and recommend

Cons: Nothing

Pros: GaldieriRent - good car for the money you pay

Cons: The pick up is not clear, more details must be provided, the bus does not go offen from the airport big ques , additional stickers should be added to the bus mentioning GaldieriRent so the bus would be easier to find.

Pros: Very friendly staff / great car / quick pick up and drop off

Pros: Great service. Very economical car.

Pros: I was lucky to get a brand new car.

Cons: Nothing to complain

Pros: Good

Cons: Just out off the actual Airport but free tax service.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Avoid. Complete con artists. 9/10 customers were having their bookings cancelled for various made up reasons. We were told god example that our car was no longer available as we were over an hour late due to our flight being delayed. Only for it to miraculously be available as long as we were prepared to pay extra. Clearly some collusion going on here between discover cars and Galdieri rent. Avoid or be ripped off.

Pros: Very good service. Agents are very friendly and can speak good enough English

Cons: They wanted my physical passport not the photo so I had to drive back for 40 minutes to pickup my passport

Pros: The guy I dealt with was nice and friendly

Cons: We lost a day of our holiday and had to leave early and pay for somewhere near the airport as galdier don't open till 8.30 and our.flight was 9.20 so we wouldn't have made it through security etc. They are also very busy so we had to wait for a long time when we collected the car sitting on the floor in the heat as 2 people.were trying process customers and answer a busy phone line.

Pros: Almost new car, no delays, frequent shuttle to rental location.

Pros: Absolutamente nada. Mala atención, poca predisposición y hasta mal trato por no haber alquilado directamente con ellos y haber rentado el auto a través de Discovercars

Cons: Maravilloso

Pros: Nothing , it is even far from the airport.

Cons: GaldieriRent is using scam policy to offer their services at a very low price and then fabricate damage to the car I have returned, so that they charge me (overcharge me) for damages I have not done. But this is part if their business model, which shows that their whole business is built on a scam!

Pros: The only comment was that upon arrival they did not accept our credit card so he had to found another way by ourselves.

Cons: Ok

Pros: Shuttle to take to and from airport was handy. The car was in a good clean condition. The agents were very helpful

Cons: It took 40 to Drop-off car and get to airport.

Pros: nothing

Cons: everything

Pros: The behavior of the staff at the rental desk was completely unhelpful, rigid, and frankly inhumane. The lack of any willingness to assist us, offer alternatives, or even explain the situation properly was extremely disappointing. We felt like we were treated with no respect or empathy as paying customers.

Cons: Never rent a car with you again!

Pros: Professional staff. Nice guys

Pros: Price and quality of car - it was new, in good condition, clean.

Cons: Pick-up speed - I was shocked how slow the process is. Staff is nice, but the process was veery slow.

Pros: Sono molto contento del' vostro sefvizio a Bergamo

Pros: The car was almost new Jeep Renegade and the service was fast and efficient. We had to wait a little for a car, because we arrived ahead of time.

Cons: My airplane was delayed and because I got to them about 2h late they made me rebook the car at a much higher price. I received the same car, but 2h delay cost me 200Euros over the initial price

Pros: Good price, good car.

Cons: Deposit locked for 30 days after drop-off. Too long.

Pros: Service was good, as described.

Cons: It was clear that previously someone has smoked inside the vehicle.

Pros: Good service for renting the car

Cons: The shuttle bus driver both times was angry. When we arrived comes to the airport very angry. And when we brougth the car back, then we needed to wait 20 minutes because they had something interesting to talk about in their group. And after we entered in the car they started to shout to us to go with taxi, because we entered in the bus without they permission. Very disgusting. Park to air company name

Pros: Cheep and good

Pros: Nothing at all

Cons: No winter tyres on the car. Only snow socks provided rather than chains. Booking cancelled and then rebooked at a higher rate. Deposit not yet returned despite the car being confirmed as returned with no issues.

Pros: I would like to express my utmost dissatisfaction with Galdieri Rent after renting a car from them for a trip to Livigno, Italy. Upon check-in, I was informed that the car only had summer tires, and there were no snow chains. If I wanted snow chains, I was told I had to buy them myself. I had booked a full-size SUV to drive to a ski resort, which was completely unacceptable. However, things got much worse. After spending 7 days in Livigno and trying to start the car on Saturday, January 4, 2025

Pros: Vehicle condition and price

Cons: Only one agent when arrived to collect car and the people in front had an issue that caused a delay on our vehicle collection .

Pros: Easy to find and easiness to pick up the car.

Pros: Excellent service, well done Galdieri

Cons: They take care of you from the moment you step out side the airport, by sending you pictures where you want to go to be picked up by a shuttle, to take you to pick up your car.

Cons: We where changed over 170Euro more than we should and the pickup took over 3 hours

Pros: Great price /performance

Cons: too much time needed both for pick up and drop off

Pros: Very fast pick up and drop off. The car was brand new.

Pros: Nothing, they stole the money and we spent 2 hours extra on the airport to front a car. We finally rented from locautos.

Pros: Car in good condition and fair rental price

Cons: Had to wait 50 minutes at airport to be picked up. That with time to complete paperwork meant we were over an hour late getting started on our journey

Pros: nice and quick

Cons: n/a

Pros: Smooth and easy. We arrived quite late due to flight delayed but the lady was quick to process. Thanks. The man at drop off also quick and friendly.

Cons: The car had a dent in the back and the truck button was hard to use. But this seemed familiar to the staff so no hustle when drop off. Quite a walk to shuttle from BGY when you are with a number of luggages but overall ok. Deposit was €1200, previous place in Rome was €700.

Pros: The Jeep Compass was new, perfectly clean!

Cons: I gave 8/10 because of the trunk problem. The plate covering the spare wheel was from a different car and didn't fit, therefore this created me a little bit of a problem with the space inside the trunk :(

Pros: Friendly staff.

Cons: Discovered them from discovercars.com

Pros: Car was clean

Cons: Shambolic service

Pros: Very clear explanations, no surprise, you get what has been announced. Friendly staff

Cons: Agency is not in the airport, you may wait a bit for the shuttle to drive you there, about 7 min drive

Pros: They can found a solution

Cons: The service was great, just the car park office was too far

Pros: I was delayed and they have away the car after 59 minutes. I was then forced to pay an additional €170

Cons: The receptionist was unhelpful. I had a screaming toddler and little boy with me. I was charged an additional €170 for being just over an hour late due to a flight delay because of the air traffic control being down due to technical issues. I tried to contact switch board ahead of time but no answer. Did not accept cover I had added on to previous car so had to pay excess waiver again. Would NOT recommend at all.

Pros: Service was terrible at pick up

Cons: Waiting time, wouldn't accept prearranged insurance

Pros: Smooth dropp off

Cons: We call 2 times before collect no answer where we get picked up from airport. So we ended up take taxi. As tourist we order and pay online. When we came. Was recommended to not pay advanced to get discount and very not so good understanding of insurance. Many price choice. But we ordered full coverage online, so dooble full coverage?

Pros: well explained

Cons: non

Cons: The agent was very rude and gave little instruction.

Pros: great price

Cons: only one person operate the business

Pros: Absolutely nothing. Ridiculous terms re: if more than 1 hour late they give away your car and you lose booking (despite flight delays) and very rude, slow man staffing the desk on return meaning we nearly missed our flight. Not happy at all.

Cons: As above.

Cons: GoldieriRent want next car insurance. I have already bought one from discoverycars. You should have one valid insurance and not sealing it two times.

Pros: Not much to be honest

Cons: They gave me a car with so many scratches and dints and then had the cheek to ask me about one the car came to me with. Thank god i took 80 odd pictures.

Pros: Nice very clean car

Cons: Distance of car park ps 1 . It said 100m . A very long 100m for 3 very old passengers.

Pros: Nothing to like

Pros: Nothing.

Cons: Another place then all other rental cars so we went to wrong parking. We heard three more calls to their office while we were there. Flight was late and together with wrong parking we needed to pay 30-40% more then original price and it took approximately 20 minutes to get the car. Only one person working so check out took 30 min. We also heard another person renting the car that he needed to rent it “again” but with their prices. Bargain!

Pros: I always find the young lady, Subita, who works at the Bergamo office a delight. She goes out of her way to help, is friendly and polite, despite often being overwhelmed by the number of rentals. Top class service as are the cars.

Cons: Waiting 2 hours before getting to the counter. A lot of discussions and extra costs, not possible to check.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Nothing

Pros: When I took the car, I made a video in which I recorded all the problems on the car, all the scratches, chips on the glass. When I returned to the car, a company employee purposefully went to a certain place in the car. . Shows me a kidney on the glass and says that this didn’t happen. And the glass needs replacement. It will cost 700 €. I say, I made a video before I took the car. He asked to see it. He was shown a video, His face changed dramatically. I understand that he knew about it.

Cons: Deceiver. be careful

Pros: Car was very good

Cons: Very long wait for the shuttle bus

Pros: All pretty smooth. Car was as new.

Cons: I don't understand why the rental agents still tried to "sell" me their insurance options when I've clearly taken the full cover with Discover Cars when booking the car. It would be a much more comfortable experience if Discover Cars instructed the actual rental company not to "bully" customers into buying something they've already purchased via Discover Cars. Such tactics are common place and devalue the Full Cover offered by Discover Cars.

Pros: Although car rental was not inside the airport, instruction were given very accurately. Since we have to take the shuttle to rental place, car pick up will take considerable amount of time

Cons: Sales agent at the rental pushes you too much to buy their own insurance saying discover cars insurance doesn't work out

Pros: Very poor service!!!

Cons: The male staff was not welcoming, made us wait for more than 1 hour to assist us even though we were tired and he talked so rudely that we decided to not proceed with the rental and then we had to go again to Bergamo airport and find another last minute car rental which costed us more than 700 euros. All these things were very stressful & costly for me upon my arrival in Bergamo Italy. Therefore, I would be grateful if the refund of the approximate 68 euros could be refunded to me ASAP. Thanks.

Pros: Very prompt per whatsapp

Cons: I rented one car, but got another one and had to pay 10% more. It would not be an issue if I would know about it. Beware of "hybrid car" offers.

Pros: The Girl is absofu&kiglutely professional !-)

Cons: Absolutely nothing.

Pros: We didn't have to wait for a shuttle bus back to the airport.

Cons: Slightly inflexible in a few areas - huge quote for an extra couple of days; forced to pay extra for chains; unwilling to use different card for payment (over the credit card needed for the deposit).

Pros: Just price

Cons: Snow chains was not part of the rental and I have to pay 5Eur per day for it. I had no idea, that snow chains are mandatory - there was no warning, otherwise I would choose another company. Problem with shuttle - long waiting time despite the fact that we indicated the flight number. Another problem was with number of seats in shuttle, it was an 8-seater shuttle, but 9 people were waiting for it. So 4 people sat on three seats, which was uncomfortable. The car did not have air condition.

Cons: The owner of garbaldi rental was very rude; didn't explain much; the contract wasn't in English. He told me last minute I had to return the car a day before as they close at 22. The shuttle bus driver didn't leave me at the airport, I had to walk around 7 min.

Pros: Friendly but unable to allow any discount

Cons: Lack of flexibility on pickup time. Unable to locate drop off with address provided for satnav.

Cons: Got a much worse car than suppose. Had to pay more for snowchains. Winter tyres not fitted.

Cons: The shuttle service isn't great, drop the car early as the shuttle might be late and you risk missing your flight. And you can't get a taxi from where you drop the car.

Pros: Representative was friendly.

Cons: Representative was friendly but not very helpful when we had an issue after an accident. And would not help when asked to retuen the car at a different location.

Pros: 1. The man from the front desk was very helpful and nice. We got the highway assistance for free. 2. Good and fast transfer from and to the Bergamo airport. 3. Our car was almost new and very clean.

Cons: Nothing!

Pros: Because of our predicament, using third party booking was a pain. Never use third party agents again. The lady at the desk was very helpful and manage to help us get a car to drive. We have blind person with us so travelling around without a car wouldn’t be easy.

Cons: Shuttle took far too long to collect us from the airport; car was parked a distance away and had to wait 10 minutes in the scorching heat for the assistant to bring the car; a bit too insistent in wanting to sell you their insurance policy despite declaring a few times I had one already; not informing customers that car has the option of LPG much cleaner and cheaper fuel.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: 1. Lancia Ypsilon - economy (?), not mini 2. 10-15 min drive from airport 3. You have to search scratches on the car by yourself, no info about previous damage provided 4. No drop off possibilities, working only from 8am to 7 pm. Other wise +62eur. Had to return car a day before 5. Old and loud transfer bus 6. Extremely big franchise 7. Car has no extras at all, like no electric windows in the back, shitty mechanical condition 8. No windows washing fluid.

Pros: Nothing.

Cons: They couldn't complete our contract with DiscoveryCars and we had to pay an extra insurance (421,38 euro) otherwise we couldn't rent the car and the shop was about to close. We told we didn't want an extra insurance because we were fully covered. We want to recieve a credit note for the difference (265 euro) of the contract price and price at the shop! Even the rentalcar they gave us without the contract of DiscoverCars, wasn't ready. Empty fuel tank, chewing gum on the floor, .....

Pros: The car

Cons: The fact that there was only a 59 minute timeframe to collect the car, I was then charged much more money as a result

Pros: The initial pick up went smoothly and the representative was pleasant

Cons: On returning the car, the individual was aggressive, a bully and was determined to find fault and incorrectly charged my car.

Pros: On collection staff very helpful fairly speedy pick up process. Car was in good condition

Cons: On returning car there was only 1 rep booking out & checking in cars. There was a fairly long queue fir people waiting to get cars. We were waiting almost an hour for car to be checked. Not very efficient process if catching flight. Maybe extra staff would be useful for busy periods. This let our overall score down. If check out had been as efficient as collection we would have scored them 8/9

Pros: The original price that we were quoted and expecting when we landed.

Cons: None of the shuttles would take us to the rental. I called the company and they cancelled my booking with no notice. We were 15min late as the shuttles were all full. They tried to rebook us a new car for €900+, instead of the agreed price of €375. Absolute criminals. Had to take a car from the stand from europcar for €1065 as I was not giving Galdierirent a cent of my money.

Pros: It was a car and it worked

Cons: It was supposed to be an airport rental and we drove 30 miles from the airport. The plane was delayed and the company said that we lost our deposit and the car we had chosen was not available. We ended paying twice as much as we had booked for a much smaller car. What more? They are nothing less than crooks

Cons: my reservation is in the name of Paola Serao as main driver but the Galdieri rent company forced me to pay the second driver because your booking confirmation was missing. I had the printed confirmation but they insisted there was no communication from you and I was forced to pay for a second driver. Who will have to reimburse me?

Pros: Good Whatsup communication at office hours. Efficient and simple drop off. Very good car.

Cons: Long delay for pickup shuttle. Attemt to sell us extra insurence. Difficult to contact on the road if you don't have a phone line (didn't acttualy have to)

Pros: Clean and proper car although very tiny.

Cons: Had choosen a Citroën C3 that have grown into VW Golf size with the latest models but we ended up with a Lancia Ypsilon (Fiat 500 size). Unless we would pay close to 260Euro for a pretty unclear insurance, seems like there is something strange with insurances in Italy, had already paid for 2 insurances when booking, this should be made clearer to consumers/less complicated) then she would upgrade us to a more C3-sized car. I said no to that offer. The Lancia was though and almost brand new.

Pros: I turned up and they said they had given my car away. I had to change flight to a later time but I didn’t think I would need to change my car booking. When I pay for something I expect to get it. Not be told there is some small print they can give it away and still charge me. I turned up with my wife and kids and found I had no car and had to spend 7x the amount renting a new one. I would like a refund. I paid money to rent a car. I expect it to be there on that day when I get it.

Pros: Great service, very good price compared to others

Cons: Although it was easy to locate area to be collected, the actual rental location was a good way away from airport. Will probably pay a bit more next time to have rental desk located at airport

Pros: at th end the find my booking

Cons: they could not find my bookings, only thanks to Discover car they managed to find my reservation. but at the end everything was sorted

Pros: very nice and helpful staff

Cons: nothing

Cons: Car rental took over an hour. The contract price expires after an hour and the new one is several hundred times more expensive

Pros: Prices agreed change while delivery. Cheating!

Cons: Upgrade is not real, instead of hybrid and convertible, they gave a petrol hatchback for 3 timesvmoney!

Pros: Very satisfied, would definitely book again!

Pros: New car, clean, full tank, a few scratches. Very fast drop off

Cons: It took ages for the agent to fulfill the papers, even though i had 1 person and me at cue, i’ve picked up the car after 1h:45 min.

Cons: When we arrived at the rental office, I had to pay for the car and insurance again. For I was told that the amount paid through the site is not a payment to their company

Cons: - Downgraded car (From a JEEP compass to an FIAT tipo wagon) - Arrogant employers - T

Pros: See above

Cons: See above
