Cons: I was the only customer and the straight forward paperwork at pickup took 1hour as they had all sorts of system failures. Fuel gauge was broken, explained it, provided evidence, yet they still penalised me for their faulty car

Cons: The agent was a bit annoying. I had full insurance from Discover Cars, but he kept pushing me to get their insurance as well. This unnecessarily extended the time it took to hand over the car.

Cons: Agent tried do sold additional "insurance", in his/her opinion "Full Cover" insurance paid to DiscoverCars does not apply and only car owner can sell this type of inscurance. Thankfully nothing bad happend so I didnt have to check this on me.

Pros: Really bad experience with this company (gold car). We change 5 car. In the first one the seat belt was not working and i came back to change the car from 80km and i spend 22€ fuel rest of the cars don’t had any radio in it. We asked for an upgrade but they didn’t had any other car when they had all cars parked in parking space.The cars was very small and the customer service was really bad. Not helpful. The guy at the pick up point was very rude!!! Not taking any more cars from them.

Which resulted in them telling us that my name was different to my licence, I had to ring the broker to get the name changed but they had also changed our contract time from 11 to 1pm which resulted in us having to wait another 1.5hrs before GoldCar would let us chat to agent. Additional charges for Insurance were required at the desk even though we had already payed for insurance at Discovercars. Will never use the service again

They went in with an incredibly hard and pressurising sell for us to buy extra insurance even though it was covered by Discover Cars. After I refused many times, he finally completed the transaction in silence. When picking up the car, there were numerous scratches missed from the document so we had to get this updated. Overall it took about 2 hours to pick up the car after we landed

Pros: We were told we were not insured unless we paid extra at the Goldcar desk. Our car hire excess insurance would not cover us as they desk assistant said it had to be insured by the owner of the vehicle. We have also just been billed an additional 62 euro with no explanation.

Cons: The staff member was unhelpful and said that I had to rate either a 9 or 10 for the service. It was not offered to print the contract also in English. The car return was very difficult to find, extremely busy and congested in the multi-storey carpark making it difficult to return the car.

Cons: They offered me a car with deffect tires. I had to go back in the office in airport and than back to pickup other car which have no spare wheel, not repair tires kit, no tools, nothing. I have spent about two hours to collect those items from multiple other cars. The snow chains where of a different sizes than my car tires, probably taken from other cars too. The snow chains where broken fact that made my mountain holiday a nightmare. Never again!

Pros: (Do not recommend!) Nowhere in the confirmation email mentioned that the rest of the rental payment needed to be paid on the same credit card for the security deposit. But, goldcars insisted on this and the agent at the check in desk was being extremely rude when we said that this term does not exist and we do not have enough funds in the credit card to cover both the deposit and the rest of payments, and he replied with ‘why didn’t you just pay off the balance’.

Cons: Continue.. he then suggested that we pay extra insurance ( even though we’re meant to be fully covered) so we don’t need to pay the €900 security deposit. Everything felt like scam so that goldcars can charge extra money, please avoid this company when you can!

Cons: The guy that filled the documents was all the way trying to sell his insurance blaming discovercars that they are some small swindler company that sells not real insurance. That is totally unacceptable attitude from 2 partner companies.

Pros: If any mistake in your application, specifically if you are more than 59 min late, you will be charged a lot of money because they cancel the reservation and the money paid is not refunded. There is not a telephone to contact with discovercars if any problem, only mail. It is better to make the reservation directly with Goldcar or however the provider is.

Cons: I paid twice the insurance of the car . Firstly in the reservation that was cancelled because I was late (not refunded) and secondly in the new reservation, because they did not take into account the initial payment. Horrendous and regrettable experience

Cons: Work efficiency of Goldcar agent was absolutely un-acceptable, adding more and more fees than the mentioned in the offer. In addition the time spent which was around one hour waiting in front of him with my baby born and one senior, ending up to reject the car and went the another agent "sicily car" which was booked as well by me booking a car for my friend who is travelling with me and which he (and I later on) completed the booking and got the car in 10 minutes time.
