Sonic Car Rental at Fort Lauderdale Airport

Pros: Address the same of the neighbour

Cons: very bad

Pros: No one was at the rental agency when we dropped off vehicle. Just a note on the window asking clients to pick up vehicles next door. Asked next door where I needed to drop off vehicle, he just said to leave it in front with the keys in it. Someone would come check it eventually in the day. So I took a video of the vehicle at drop off .

Cons: If they did not have a mini van available for us. We would have made other arrangements. We were 6 with luggage. We knew an SUV would not do. Two people had to UBER most of the places we went. We paid for a van and were clearly inconvenienced with an smaller vehicle that did not suit our needs.

Cons: Bother pickup and drop off was very frustrating. 3 hour to get service due to others ahead facing the same dilemma, and 1,5 hour at drop off because no agent was available in the office. Sonic Car rental does not exist. It is under another name.

Cons: The service was shoddy, we got a nail in the tire to which we brought back to their office in Miami and we were told our full coverage insurance did not cover the flat and that we were on own to fix it. As We were given a vehicle “ in perfect condition “. Absolute crap customer service

Cons: Beware of hidden fees charged me another 395.00 US o top od the rental plus holding deposit of 400 US for 45 days. Cannot bring your own sunpass or transponder as you will also need to pay 13US per day.for that and toll charges. Car needed maitenenace and this was on the qhoke time of my rental. I called them they told me to disregard and would deal with it when vehicle was returned. Had to pay iong distance fees to call them to meet me at.rental for pick up No one there for drop off. Horrible

Cons: Everything! It took a while at the airport to figure out where to get the shuttle because Sonic didn't answer our call right away. It takes 2 shuttles to get from the airport to Sonic rental. Price is to good to be true. I got the full coverage insurance online but they add More Insurance when you get there. (79.00 a day extra) and pay for tolls extra. People before us decided to cancel and leave and we did the same. Just get a car from the airport is probably better. there are no deals.

Pros: Tried to ask for $1,000,000 insurance and tried to up sell their own, even though terms were for $300,000 which my insurance covered.

Once we finally got to the rental place they told us that we could not waive the insurance, as we were from Canada. This put our rental price up by $300.00. It was too late to go somewhere else, as all the agencies were closed or about to close. I will never rent here again.

Cons: This is a scam. They offer an apparently low price when you book, but when you arrive they require an extremely high insurance requirement to rent. Our car was old, the key fob was literally taped together, they change oil light was on, the tire pressure light was on, the brakes seemed to be making a lot of noise and probably need to be checked. Plus, it took over an hour for our car to arrive once we got to the rental agency. Complete nonsense! Never book with DiscoverCars again!

Cons: Everything. Did not take the car because of extra insurance fees but was still charged a late cancellation fee. Totally awful. Left without a car to fend for myself.

Cons: The hidden cost ( insurance ) that raise the price to the level of all the other well known company ( sixt ..). They have only one desk with nobody waiting. I had to wait 10mns before a guy came from behind the building.

Cons: This is a scam. they charge a small price for the rental ($150) but scam you with $400 of insurance cost. All major car companies accept credit car insurance and personal insurance from Canada.

Cons: They didn't recognize my personal auto insurance
