Clubs Car Rental at Fort Lauderdale Airport

Cons: The agent was late to work. The agent demanded insurance form US only. International travelers(Canadian) insurance is not acceptable by agent even with proof that we have cover of rental vehicles. The rate of car renatl of 70$ is dirt cheap and the insurance price is 570$ is where the place where you get robbed.

Pros: I will have to admit that the reviews are not the best and I was very skeptical about this rental company. Turns out to be a good experience, they rent me a very comfortable Nissan Kicks a little SUV, which was perfect for me and my daughter. The price did not included insurance but with my own and all the docuementation this was cover. I took the Toll pass since I was planning to go to Disney and Key West, I heard it was worthy. No doubt to rent with you guys next time directly.

Cons: Was surprised with 300% fee for insurance. When I read the terms beforehand, didn't have any of that, but he used 'air quotes' that this specific agreement doesn't notify when you book that there are hidden fees. We left, got Uber to Sixth rental, booked another vehicle for great deal, 200% less that those fees would've been. Don't like when people lie like that. Please beware before you book with them.

It wasn’t the battery in the remote but the car battery. After wasting 11/2 hrs of time I drove behind the guy back to their spot and someone brought us back…which was appreciated.

Lauderdale airport the line for the rental car shuttle was very long and people remained in line as several shuttles came and went - Discover Cars (also called Club Car Rental) contacted me in advance on WhatsApp, gave me a number and a meetup point and took us to get our car while everyone else waited on line. For the return we checked in immediately and were given a ride right to our terminal.

Cons: We got a nicer car than was expected, had zero wait time or inconvenience, got good, friendly, professional service and advice. I couldn’t have been happier and felt very well taken care of.

Cons: They need to disclose the amount for the insurance and the deductibles. We rented a car for 290 and they took a deposit for 80 and it was not deducted for no reason 80 dollars. Also 40 per day for insurance with a 5000 deductible is ridiculous for a Kia . 80 plus 614 almost 700 for a car that we agreed upon 300. The insurance so high shouldn’t be a something you discover when you are picking up the vehicle not fair at all .

Pros: David was professional, practical and even offered an upgrade that was available. The vehicle ran like a top, but the gas gauge would not go above 7/8. I tried to fill it three times, from the moment we rented it and it never registered, full. It likely needs service on that gauge.

I noticed it when I got to where I was going. When I went to return it he was like this isn’t circled. It was 65 min late, they informed us they had given our car away and canceled our reservation. My uusband and I felt scammed. This place should not be recommended to anyone. Cons: The very significant fees that are tagged on to the booking price are a significant draw-back. When picking up the car it was requested that I subscribed an insurance package that was significantly more expensive than the rental rate, and only after I insisted a lot the requirement was waived. Furthermore, the company requires the payment of a Sun-Pass fee for highway tolls: it is mandatory and cannot be waived, even if the renter (like myself) has his own Sun Pass account.

Cons: After I was done signing all my paperwork it was disclosed because I am a Florida resident I was capped for daily miles--the whole point of a rental is to not be concerned about the mileage, it clearly stated I had unlimited miles, but then because I'm a resident the rules were changed?! I was not notified also that I had to produce my declaration page for my personal insurance, so I was finagled into taking the companies insurance which ended up costing me more than the rental itself.

Cons: 1) I wanted to use my own SunPass but the car already has a SunPass affixed to it. I had to take routes without tolls. This was a mild inconvenience but had I known this prior to renting the car, then I would’ve chosen another car rental co 2) the car had a lot of scratches and dings 3) I needed to extend the rental a few extra days. It took 3 calls to finally get through to a rep. Each time I called, I got the answering message, was placed on hold, and then the cal dropped

Cons: No local telephone contact on the confirmation; difficulty convincing the shuttle to pick me up, told rental was cancelled because they had the wrong time, would not accept my insurance that every other major rental company uses and making my insurance company email my insurance policy to them, suspicious office location with no identification on the building, amount of time to get the rental car, no one on site from the company to accept the rental return

Cons: 300,000 dollars of property insurance seems fraudulently criminal, at least in this country. Geico doesn't even write property insurance for that amount. Dealership seemed to be run by kids, who were merely doing what they were told. I was given an Elantra with 57,000 miles on it. Not what you expect from a car rental agency. When I tried to phone, I received messages that the phone was not set up to receive incoming messages. Taxi could not locate facility. There is no name on the building.
