Cons: They only 2 accept major car insurance carriers (All State & Geico). Which forces you to purchase the car insurance they offer/sell - the cost of the insurance through Renta was 4.5 times the cost of my rental rate ($280). They also requested a $1000 hold for a $60 rental EVEN with me using a major credit card and pre-paying for the rental. Every single person in front of me and behind me in line ended up leaving due to their ridiculous policies. I am unsure how they are in business at all.

Cons: We paid one price for the car and when we arrived there we waited 1h with 2 children. After that they told us they had redicilues terms and limits for property insurance. They didn't let us use our own insurance because of it and wanted to charge us more than $600. Our original price for the car was 32 or 40. What a scam. Rented a car for 5$ a day then they tried to keep adding additional chargers when I explained I had my own insurance and coverage and they kept trying to push for their upsell tactic. I ended up refusing the 700$ USD rental fee and went to easirent which is a must more reliable and honest establishment

Cons: The site calculated $179.81 for Toyota Camry car rental in Miami, Florida. I made an advance payment of $102.81. Arriving at the car pick-up point, I was counted the amount of 850.94. Unfortunately, I had nowhere to go and had to agree to this amount. Instead of a Toyota Camry, they provided me with a Jeep Grand Cherokee. It was unfair not to warn about all hidden payments. It would be better to write an honest amount right away. I am very disappointed with such a very expensive car rental.

When I called to see what is going on I was told if I want sooner then it will cost me extra $150.00. then when the agent showed up and processed our rental he wanted us to pay $300 for 3 day rental car insurance. So, 3 day rental would cost us $400.

Upon our arrival at the car rental RENTA Florida, we were told that it was mandatory to take insurance with them because they only accept insurance documents from 3 specific insurance agencies (which was not one of ours). We also needed to pay for tolls, $19.99 USD per day of rental, if not there would be a charge for the toll plus an additional $39.00 USD administrative charge. It ended costing $420 USD.

By the time we went to Renta Florida they were gone. I called a number at the desk and she said the car was canceled because we were LATE. We were left with no options to cancel or rent another car. The only observation that I can mention is that no one was in the office when I dropped off the car and The shuttle bus to the airport never cane to pick me up. The shuttle bus from the establishment next to them took me to the airport. I’m a photographer and an arm amputee and I had to carry the heavy equipment with the help of the driver. I’m really disappointed.

If I had known that I would have rented with Hertz directly at the Fort Lauderdale Airport. Dirty seats, worn out tires, half full gas tank…!

Pros: I was supposed to get an suv rental for one week for $186. When i get to the desk the total changed to 1500. I have full coverage insurance and have been able to use it with any other car rental, but renta is a complete scam and expects you to have 1 million auto coverage policy otherwise you wont be able to use your insurance. Needless to say i took the loss on my $60 deposit at booking and went to usave got a better suv for $397 total! Dont rent here they are a scam.

Definitely wasnt a shuttle was so hard to find her because of this. We called when we landed she said it would be about 20 minutes. I rented a car in Orlando in March 2023 with another company (Ace) and did not require additional insurance . My personal insurance in Canada provides full coverage in the USA. It was my first experience with you and the last one.

After countless calls we were unable to get a hold of them and had to arrange and pay for transportation ourselves even though a free shuttle was included. We got to the address and there is no signs of the rental car company we had selected. We had to ask staff and they directed us to the back of the store in a little room where we had to complete our payment and pick up the car.

Cons: All that discover car has mentioned was that $60 upon pick up and I already opted into the insurance on the discover car website plus had my own insurance. Next thing you know we were up charged an additional 399$ to include the insurance and sun pass. Had everything been mentioned upright we could have made changes to our plans but it is totally irresponsible to add an up charge like that when picking up the vehicle. On top of all that we were locked out of the car for hours and left stranded.
