Cons: The key for the car didn't work reliably. The key appeared to be a peugeot key that had been reprogrammed to work with the Opel Corsa I was renting.

As I had full protection from Discovercars I knew it’s nonsense. It also took over an hour to get the car, as the agent refused to use my debit card, and kept trying to have me take the extra insurance.

Everything guaranteed to produce stress!

El coche tenía un arañazo en el parachoques y unas rascadas en un retrovisor. Fui a comentarlo pero nadie vino a tomar nota, se limitaron a pedir que hiciera fotos para demostrar en la devolución que ya estaban los desperfectos en el momento que lo recogí. Así hicimos y la verdad es que todo bien. Se nos devolvió la fianza de 1.400€.

Cons: Extra cost for excess protection was way to high. Initial charge of Euro 100 for petrol was unfair. How can you charge equivalent of around 80km petrol cost on an island resort and for a hybrid car that uses very little fuel. As a reference we filled the car up after the week for less than Euro 10. Other companies would only charge at the end if the fuel tank was not full. Means the cost of hire car when booking was "x" but after checking with all add ons coat becomes "x" times 2.

Cons: When you go to the pickup desk they make you sign a box for the keys. If you scroll up it is actually a confirmation that you have seen the car has a full tank of fuel and has no damage. However when I got to the car it had lots of damage and less than 1/2 tank of fuel. When I tried to register my complaint and get docs changed they shoved a palm in my face and said speak to drop off. At drop off they refused to inspect the car to confirm there was no further damage and a rude lady walked off.

Cons: Our car broke down mid way through. The company was really helpful in arranging a mechanic but the vehicle was towed without us having any choice. A taxi was called which was great but once we got back to the airport we were told by the office team that there was nothing wrong with the car and that we would have to pay an additional 180 Euros for the tow. We argued against this as we had already paid the additional money for premium cover and eventually were given a replacement vehicle for free

It was her mistake because she didn’t see the start date on my current license. She was very abrupt and shook her head and said it was ridiculous when I declined the additional insurance. When she finally handed over the paperwork, she stormed off, leaving a long line of customers behind.

Cons: When picking up the car the staff would not help to identify and record all the additional dents and scratches which were not on the paperwork, they were most unhelpful. When we returned the car a member of staff inspected the car and claimed we had new damage, which we denied. It took over 30 mins of arguing with the staff before they admitted that the damage had been there before we picked up the car!

The same aplies when trying to call the rental desk/representative of Record-go at Palma de Mallorca Airport where the car had been picked-up

Cons: we had a complicated process for hiring the car they wanted to charge us 2737.91 euros for the car hire and after a long dispute and showing them the contract which stated 1472.39 euros and the manager coming to assist we paid the 1619.97 euros which included the petrol. On coming home the record.go company have taken an additional unauthorised payment of £967.91. i am currently trying to get a refund. I think your company should be aware of this issue we are having to go through.

Hardly drove it as too big and scared with all the money charged to my visa to park it anywhere in case it got a scratch, not an enjoyable experience at all. Would never use again.
