Cons: We were 'bullied' into taking out additional insurance although we already had cover with DiscoverCars.com. Having contacted both DiscoverCars.com and Record-go, each company told us to contact the other. Very disappointing service from both, which is particularly a shame from DiscoverCars.com as we have used them in the past without any problems.

Pros: Great prices and good customer service.

Cons: The lines at pick up were too long.

Pros: Much improved customer service with no longer any hard sell on extra insurance when picking up the car. On the last two trips to Mallorca, both vehicles had only covered approx 5000 kms

Cons: Would be nice if an extra driver could be included cheaply. This was often available free a few years ago

Cons: No value for money to pick up a car with debts and scratches . Having to take images and video of car damage prior to pick up . Informed employee about state of car and asked if I could change . Shrug of shoulders and No was the reply .

Cons: They tried to make me buy more insurance, even though I'd bought it with my booking, and advised me not to buy it elsewhere next time. An agent didn't accompany me to the car and they didn't advise me I should check for damage against what was on the paperwork. The bodywork of the car was in a bad state, so we had to try to take pictures of it all. When I dropped it back, they told me to just leave the keys and go without an agent looking over it and then charged me for damage we didn't do.

Cons: At dropoff, u realize that it's a scam. A woman with a flashlight came up to inspect the car and started taking pictures of damage that was already there when rented. Of course nobody comes out to review car before u take it. Our car was parked in a garage and couldn't have actually gotten the damage she claimed we did. I'm betting that the same damage claims were charged to the person who rented this car before us. Read other terrible reviews prior.Will not rent from this company again.

Last time I booked with recordgo it was a much nicer experience. The man’s English was brilliant but I find that these people sit and prey for victims to spend more with them under a fear based system of upselling . Pretty poor experience

Cons: Check-in wasn't easy as it was all done through self-service and then I needed to see a person anyway. Once checked in, it wasn't very easy to find the collection point in the car park.

Cons: They lied, sold us an “optional” service of paying for fuel upfront. We clarified this means we could bring it back empty, to which the staff laughed and responded “si claro” But when we took the car back, they told us we have to fill the car up or get fined and it’s not their responsibility. They wouldn’t let me explain, two members of staff next to me aggressively kept interrupting me saying it’s not their responsibility and it’s in the contract. Avoid at all costs.

Pros: We had no pressure to upgrade the insurance when we said we had our own Excess insurance. Smooth in terminal experience as no queues, good collection and return in airport car park

Cons: They charged my credit card twice for the car hire and fuel and am still waiting for a refund. Impossible to talk to anyone via phone. Have to wait for email reply. Sent proof of double payment but still haven’t heard back from them. I feel like I’ve been scammed. It seems to happen a lot with car rental companies these days. What’s going on?

Pros: The desk was easy to find.

Cons: The car was very dirty inside and out when we picked it up. Fuel policy is full to full but the car was only 3/4 full on collection. Baby car seat hire prices are a rip off, so expensive and our child was very uncomfortable in the seat provided. The agent put a lot of pressure to take the incredibly expensive extra insurance and said "as you have a long rental, 2 weeks, the car is guaranteed to be scratched during that time"... strange logic they have.

Pros: Lots of external cosmetic damage and dirt. Interior needed a vacuum and wipe down.

Cons: I would really like the true cost of rental and insurance to be much clearer during booking to ensure there's no additional cost to pay at pick up. No hidden extras

Pros: Fairly quick when we got to the front of the queue. They’ve got an automated system which isn’t always intuitive. Key pickup was easy, and drop off was very quick and easy once we found the drop off bays. A good experience though.

Cons: The automated system wasn’t always easy and they didn’t have enough assistance readily available, and the payment system was a bit tricky, also required assistance.

Cons: The employee of the company are very argumentative about needing to take out their excess policy and saying the one I had is not suitable which I know it is , so arguing for 10 mins is really not acceptable.

Cons: The fuel deposit and that the car was picked up full, yes the digital read said full but within 15k of driving it we’d already lost 1/6th of our tank … defo wasn’t full but I guess you win some and lose some.

Pros: There were plenty of staff at the booking desk. The car was clean and the return was well sign posted and quick and easy.

Cons: Getting the car was made difficult, as the staff at key pick up did not tell us the correct bay to find the car. Instead we had to spend time looking with tired children late at night.

Cons: I paid £134 in advance for the use of car when I arrive at the airport to pick up the car they told me to pay €1400 deposit plus €243 insurance +86 for petrol at 12 in the night. Totally unexpected, unprofessional, uncomfortable, unreliable, unwanted and unnecessary. never booking with them again

Pros: The car collection and car seat arrangement was quick and easy, as was the directions for pick-up and drop-off from the desk representative. Car was very good, clean condition and offered good value for money (minus the additional insurance).

Cons: The contradiction between discover cars and Record-go with regards to the fully comprehensive insurance was far from ideal and left us with an additional £190 outlay.

Cons: Very long queue to collect car. Had to pay extra to extend opening hours as flight arrived late but there was still a queue of over twenty people. Also, had to pay a “fuel deposit” of ~70€ which I was unaware of.

Po bezproblémovém vrácení vozu následně dorazil email, který sděluje, že došlo k poškození a následně strhávají z mého účtu částku převyšující 605 EUR

Cons: It takes a long time for your damage deposit (1100 EUR) to be released back to you, even after they have checked the car. RecordGO say this is my bank (Barclays) but Barclays say it is down to RecordGo. Regardless, your deposit money will be in limbo for at least 2 weeks after you return.
