Drivalia at Palma de Mallorca Airport

Pros: Quick pick up of car when we got to the car pick up place.

Cons: finding shuttle bus at airport and drop off car and parked the girl told us to move the car to between the lines. She did not explain what lines and was not helpful. the lines are two parallel lines when enter the place but I saw no directions to say 'return car' .

Pros: Fast delivery

Cons: The shuttle bus at the airport was rather haphazard as no signs in the shulttle bus area. Also the shuttle bus back to the airport was a bit of a wait as people were pushing in to the front of the queue, perhaps a queuing system would be a good idea.

Cons: I read the reviews and it just seems like if you don't take out their "extra insurance" that they will screw you over , you can see countless instances of this on google reviews. They claim that even though we pay for all insurance through discover card that "we don't have their insurance and therefore only are covered for the very basics" a customer challenged them on this and was told that if they want to fight it out with discovercars that was up to them.

Cons: - Requested for a smaller car. Car was larger than the Opel Mokka as reserved during booking. This was not possible, staff was not helpful and did not have some kind of understanding. Message: Just deal with it. - Early drop-off as booked in advance was unclear. Drivalia office in Palma de Mallorca was not open and was not able to reach by phone. At the end there was a QR-code on a sign near the gate that gave the location of the drop-off outside office hours. This gave unnecessary stress.

Pros: Car was nice size, picking up was smooth. Drivalia employees were very helpful & nice. The dash & display screen would black out at random times making it hard to navigate with my gps. The car only had 3/4 of a tank when we picked it up but were told it was full & expected to return full.

Cons: Drop off was messy. Wish we were told ahead of time that we would be dropping off at a different location. Only found out upon arrival. The people at the next location were unhelpful. The woman at the front desk didn’t acknowledge me at all. The driver to the airport didn’t speak to us at all. He literally opened the trunk & walked away leaving us to load all of our bags.

Cons: If you have an early flight, you can't drop off at the office. Gate opens at 8am. You follow the signage and drop off at a different location plus you pay an additional 20€ fee.

Cons: Unfriendly staff! We handed the car in 3 min too early and we’re not told by staff, but received en email wi the an invoice shortly after of 20 euros. We would have expected them to tell us this up front. We would definitely have waited the few minutes returning the car.

Pros: that I could just take photos of the many scratches and dings without an elaborate process. I also liked that the agent, at drop off, made me feel comfortable that I wouldn’t receive a follow up charge.

Pros: We've chosen a full coverage insurance package. On the 4th day the front windshield got cracked and after talking to an agent, they replaced the car immediately. I know that's why we paid for full coverage, but still, it was great feeling that they were very supportive and didn't argue for a single second.

Cons: Not all the damage on the car was listed in advance causing delay when having to get the car re-inspected and the missed damage added to the contract. We were also not told about how and where to return the car after hours of operation. Pros: The description of the shuttle bus pick up point was a little confusing, and we missed one bus as a result but the next was available in minutes. The trip to the depot was 5 minutes and just one junction down the motorway. Effectively as easy as on airport pickup.

Cons: The excess insurance charge us just too much, even by other Spanish car hire companies’ levels. The windscreen washer bottle was empty, which is a very basic fact which had not been dealt with. Cars get very dusty in Mallorca in late spring and summer.
