Alamo at Palma de Mallorca Airport

Pros: They give me brand new car on 34km. Excellent service.

Pros: We travelled as a family of six. Before arrival, we received clear video instructions showing exactly how to find the shuttle bus. The rental office is about a 10-minute shuttle ride from Palma Airport, and we only waited 5–10 minutes. The staff were friendly, pick-up and drop-off were quick, the car was clean and comfortable, and the security deposit was refunded within a few days after returning the car.

Cons: collection shuttle was late, also no system in place to attend to clients in an orderly manner, resulting in clients with later bookings and later arrivals at the airport to be served before us. Shuttle drivers not caring about our complaints and laughing. Vehicle was filthy on collection

Pros: Andoni (the rental agent at pickup) was prompt, professional and helpful in explaining all coverage options. Marcu (the rental agent at drop off) was prompt and friendly.

Cons: I booked Volvo bc we had 3 luggages. I did not get volvo, yes I know that they offer similar size /type of car. Most of cars has 5 seats, then its not problem but boot size is very different. But its so important for travellers who always come with luggages. And they offer audi Q2 instead Volvo xc40. And of course audi boot size is 405litres and volvo has 443lites. One of our 3 luggage did not fit in and I needed to rent with seven seats bigger Beugeot and pay 140 eur extra.

Cons: waited in the queue for 1hr and half and when I got to the front of the queue, the single person at the kiosk who dealt with the long line, said they only hold reservations for 1hr and so they cancelled my reservation. Worst service I have ever experienced after filling out the check in via the QR code in the queue to try and be helpful.

Pros: I had 2 flat tires. Car was picked up and we kept contact with the garage who fixed the car the next morning. Through our Spanish friend we have a copy of the invoice of the repair. Only 2 tyre changes. Bridgestone Turanza 6 235/40/18. The amount I had to pay was 1372,-. As you will suspect i will take legal action if you don’t restitute the amount that I overpaid… Me and my daughters were dropped of in a small village and left behind. Alamo promised to call us back for information but never cal

Cons: Called us back. We took a taxi to Palma to pick up another car. We want the invoice with an honest amount and the restitution on our creditcard.

Cons: When I picked up the car I had to get additional insurance which was almost as much as the rental cost. also the agent tried to sell me an upgrade without even showing me my car, because to begin with she couldn't find the car I had reserved.

Cons: Large SUV being offered on website, and charged for, but these cars were not available in Mallorca. Unacceptable practice to do this. If such cars are not available then they should not be charging customers extra for booking them.

Cons: Exiting the multi story car park was really difficult with a long wheel base vehicle because of the 90° turn and narrow ramp but this is the design of the car park, not a reflection on alamo themselves

Pros: Very professional and service minded staff. No unnecessary discussion to convince us to buy extra insurance or extended services.

Cons: On arrival at midnight, the rental office in the arrivals tail was closed, and there was no sign or message for where to go to pick up the car. We were lucky that a neighboring shop was open and could tell us that the rental company had another office in the car park itself. We could have avoided this experience and the accompanying stress.

Cons: I arrived at the desk around midnight and there was a long queue with only one person serving. After about 90 minutes of waiting (with a cranky 4 year old) and seeing I was still only halfway through I decided to forego my deposit and rent from another nearby rental agency who provided me with a car within 10 minutes. Terrible service.

Cons: The car was nice and big (thanks, we needed the extra size!) but it had a really bad and loud knocking sound in the front driver-side wheel. It was pretty nerve-wracking driving over the island wondering if something serious was wrong. But the pick up process was such a pain in the neck it was not worth taking the car back to be checked. Should have been checked thoroughly before it was given to us.
