Dollar at Palma de Mallorca Airport

Pros: Fast, efficient service at the main desk, clear instructions and the car was perfect for what we required

Cons: Too slow at pick up.paper work could be done online and then just simply pick .up.keys

Pros: Good car, with a quick and hassle-free rental and return process.

Cons: Tire pressure was not ok. Car set-up was in German, thus not easy to change.

Pros: Dollar is provided by Hertz, so, top tier company.

Cons: Instructions on how to find Dollar were not clear. I was looking for a sign with Dollar, but in the arrival hall there is none. 15 minutes later I found that I only need to report to Hertz.

Cons: Pick up was ridiculously slow. No where near enough staff, the other car hire vendors had more than double the staff for the same amount of customers

Pros: It was great, the car was exactly same as I ordered.

Cons: I didn't liked that the person on the counter told me I would have to pay 1700 EUR for any damage to the car no matter if I had full coverage from you.

Cons: Please provide better directions as to where to find Dollar rental at Mallorca airport. There are only signs for Hertz, but not Dollar.

Pros: The car was old. Some features didn’t work (cruise control) Breaks binding in reverse, every panel had damage including wheels. Auto gearbox not as it should be. Rear boot cover broken, Hole in the boot where items can drop through. Almost 50,000 Kometers on clock. This vehicle was given as a substitute for a VW Tiago which appeared new in the advert. Absolutely shocking to supply a vehicle in that condition.

Cons: No one available at collection point, all shut up and closed. On return of the vehicle little or no concern of my complaint. Dollar part of Herz I will not use again.

Cons: Car was described as being able to take 3 large bags which it could not do. Agent (hertz) was so rude. The encounter started off with him telling me my number hadn’t been called when it was on the board for all to see. Was so rude when I showed him description of car from discover cars print out which obvy had a discrepancy between the actual size and how many bags it’s description said it could take. Agent also sent me to an area which is no longer used to collect the car and finally despite g

Cons: Car pick up was confusion, the instructions was to go to car rental. We followed the signs to car rental but no Dollar signs? Went to a airport worrier who said go to Hertz as Doller was Hertz (whould of been handy to know this). We then followed signs for Hertz car rental and go to dropped off office I csrpark only to be told that we had to go back to terminal. Short story after another 2hrs we got our car. Absolute joke

Pros: Good rental price.

Cons: It was not made clear anywhere on our booking that Dollar is part of Hertz. We spent 40 minutes wandering the area around the terminal on a wild goose chase at 1:20am. When we finally found the correct place, we were told that the fiat we rented wasn't available, so had to choose from two much larger vehicles. The car had some damage outside and the interior had stains.

Cons: Waiting time unknown when you arrive. Waited about 80 minutes in a ticketed queue and you have no idea how long you are waiting for? Staff not receptive to helping you identify this time.

Cons: Car was clean but did have a low pressure rear ryes on collection. Spoke to a staff member who said I would have to go back in and change the vehicle. Decided against this and just stopped at the garage near airport to pump it up. Was fine for the week after that but felt this should of been checked prior to me collecting car.

Pros: So friendly and helpful, speedy and efficient. No issues handing back, rep met us on arrival at drop off zone and completed checks so quickly.

Cons: I booked two cars and took the full insurance on both, paying extra. When we picked the cars up we were being charged again for the full insurance. When we queried we were told that insurance was nit theirs, but yours. If we wanted the full insurance we had to pay them...extra 230 odd euros. Is this some sort of scam? Lovely cars but will not be using again.

Pros: Efficient and competent. We were given a relatively new car. The fellow who received and checked our car was courteous and competent. Made it clear that car was returned without any damage.

Cons: The fellow who gave us the car told us to use diesel.He even wrote it down on the contract sleeve. When it came time to fill the tank we noticed the little green tag next to petrol cover indicating we should use 95 unleaded petrol. fortunately we followed the little green tag!

Pros: I was unimpressed by the lack of flexibility with main driver details and payment meaning we had to pay for an additional driver at the cost of €60 euros. And also the fact we ended up with a Cleo for more money.

Cons: There was also a problem with passports and collecting the car. Due to a delay with our flight we were trying to make the desk before closing.

Pros: So far awful. I’ve been charged for something that hasn’t been explained and was not part of my quote.

Cons: They made me sign an electronic document in an electronic machine to confirm the price of the rental and then this signature was reproduced on all type of documents which I hadn’t signed (for instance, the document listing the existing damages which I had not seen). This is illegal and of bad faith. I had to spend almost one hour to complain and get a proper damage document which I read and signed.

Cons: Rental agreement form filled in incorrectly. Very slight mark on wheel rim used as an excuse to charge us €95. We have our own insurance for this but a pain to claim. Damage so slight they won't bother repairing it. It's a money making scam!

Pros: They didn’t have the car I reserved available so the only options they provided was a really large car that couldn’t make it up the drive where we were staying or an “upgrade” that they charged extra for. They couldn’t provide the car I rented to annoying that I was charged extra to get a similar car or get a tank. They are off-site so shuttle van is painful.

Pros: Great and prompt service provided by Dollar but very negative experience with DiscoverCars. Mini bus runs every 15mins. Easy to find and good location near airport. Drop off was very quick and straight to airport. Car clean.
