Hertz at Palma de Mallorca Airport

Pros: easy to find them at the airport - got a virtual brand new car when we did have a problem with a lost ignition key they were quick to resolve

Pros: I guess discovercars had ”too good car” offered than agreed with Hertz. They were ok changing the car to bigger, however.

Cons: The vehicle provided had damage all down one side and was not of the usual high standard.

Pros: Easy and straightforward check in and pick up of car.

Cons: The car wasn't particularly clean. The windscreen was all smeared on the inside and there were bird droppings on it on pick up.

Cons: As we were sold an upgrade I was disappointed by the level of damage on the car when we picked it up.

Pros: Very nice desk staff, and drop off staff. The ease of having in-terminal service. The good reputation of Hertz being lived up to. That they E-mailed me the rental agreement including good photos of previous damage. Super cool hybrid fiat 500!

Pros: Leichte Buchung, super Service am Flughafen, neues Auto, keine versteckten Kosten bei der Abholung, keine Probleme bei der Rückgabe.

Cons: Impossible to get through by phone when there was a problem

Pros: The car rental agent was particularly engaging and had a keen sense of humour (that really appealed to us). He offered practical advice of the choices available.

Cons: It was a bit tricky finding the rental desk at the airport - we were arriving from the bus terminal as we decided to rent a car after being on the island for a couple of days.

Cons: The car was possibly the worst car in the fleet! Terrible. On many occasions it took a few attempts to even get it to start.

Cons: Queuing to collect. I think there were people who hadn't booked or were like kids in a sweet shop and pondered over everything on offer.

Pros: Short queue. Representative was very polite and efficient. An upgrade was offered and was good value for money - no pressure though. The car was in good condition. Drop off was easy and very well organised.

Cons: More expensive than most other companies but it was worth it. Having been ripped off but more budget options (Goldcar!) I think Hertz represents much better overall value and crucially less stress!

Cons: They didn't have the car that I pre booked and then charged me more to get an upgrade. This has never happened before, it has always been a complementary upgrade if the pre-booked car isn't available.

Cons: Charged 140 euro for the smallest of small marks on the bumper which I absolutely know I didn’t do. Will hertz repair the mark? Absolutely not. It will remain and they will keep the money! First time charged by a hire company in 40 years of car hire.

Cons: The char was supposed to be delivered r-with a full tank (in the contract) but in reality it was not full an d but was very late and no-one available at the parking lot to explain. I thus had two bring it with a full tank but Hertz's agent didn't want to offer a compensation in spite of the pictures taken at the car delivery time.

Cons: Very hard to contact the local office by phone when we wanted to extend the period. We either couldn’t get through or had the call drop any time we did manage to connect

Cons: Disappointed the car seat was too big they sold us as an extra - we asked for a baby one and it was far too big.

Pros: This was my first time personally renting a car abroad and it was very very smooth. Really enjoyed the Clio Hybrid too.
