Moventur at Olbia Airport

Pros: Margarita at the office was the best!! At first she showed me the car that I rented and when we opened it up we discovered that it wasn’t clean. She immediately, without me asking, offered me other cars to choose from.

Cons: Honestly after reading some of the negative reviews I was ready to be disappointed. But everything was perfect!

Cons: Auto nízkej triedy lancia ypsilon akože hybrid, ale spotreba obrovská oproti minulým rokom keď som mala podobnú triedu áut a ďaleko lepšie autá. Auto mi prišlo pri 43 tis. km akoby malo už najazdených 100 tis a viac km. Na tých pár km stačilo ale ak by som mala v ňom cestovať viac ako 2 hodiny to by som asi nezvládla aj s deťmi.

Usual “bait and switch” with car models despite purchasing an “elite” model (a Lancia is not “similar” to a VW)

Daarnaast ontstond er discussie na het terugbrengen over schade die bij het ophalen al aanwezig was. Gemaakte foto’s, van datum ophalen, moesten mijn gelijk aantonen. Waarom, ik was toch volledig verzekerd! Het was een fijne auto, maar het reservoir van de ruitensproeier was niet gevuld. Al met al een teleurstellende ervaring.

Cons: They require you to have a physical copy of an international driver’s license, which I did not have. If you don’t have one they will not rent to you. They also wouldn’t refund my rental fee charged in advance.

Pros: We surprisingly got a brand-new Toyota C-HR with only 3,400 km on the odometer. There was a small dent on the trunk lid, but otherwise the car was perfect. Pick-up and return were both quick and easy - no questions asked about the car’s condition, they only checked the fuel level.

Cons: This rental company is a complete scam. They forced us to pay for their “full insurance,” claiming our card wasn’t a credit card when it clearly was. On top of that, the car they gave us already had a flat tire, and instead of helping, they left us to fix it ourselves. Even after paying for their so-called coverage, they refused to reimburse the repair. While we were there, we saw other customers facing the exact same problems, so to be avoided at all costs.

Cons: I had a very disappointing experience with this car rental company. I was just one hour late to pick up my car, and they charged me 450 euros to “reopen” my reservation. This fee feels completely unreasonable, especially since I could not find any price list or clear policy about such charges on their website. When I contacted the main office to ask for an explanation in writing, I received no clear breakdown of the costs. It seems like they can charge whatever they want without transparency.

Malgrado ciò, la mia carta di credito è stata debitata di 40€ alcuni minuti dopo la riconsegna senza alcuna spiegazione o chiarificazione da parta della Moventur. Questo è totalmente innacettabile e non mancherò di portare il caso presso Discovercars.

Cons: The desk staff charged extra as we got there a few mins past 11. I had advised them via email my flight was delayed. I was told it would not be an issue. They then charged extra for arriving late - unacceptable and then didn’t do a walk thru of the car and I have now been charged 300 euro for damages I did not cause.

Pros: When we picked up the car at the Olbia airport there were no problems. Staff was very nice and helpful. We left the car at the airport out of work hours with no problems, you just leave the keys in the box. I got my deposti money 850€ back in a week.

Pros: Fairly smooth rental and staff were polite and the car was very good quality. Value was good, which was surprising since everything else in Sardinia costs a fortune.

Cons: They did try to sell us additional insurance even though we took out full cover through discovery cars, but they weren't pushy. However, they insisted we had to bring the car back in the state we got it, which included washing and cleaning out the inside. We had to find a car wash and vacuum the inside of the car otherwise there might be a cleaning charge. I wouldn't rent from them again because of this.

Cons: The office at Olbia airport is very small and has only room for 2 people to be served at a time. This means only 1 person from each party and enter the office. There is a queue outside the office where you wait your turn to be served. Fortunately we had an early arrival but if you happen to be arriving later the queue area is not in the shade.

Cons: We arrived at the pre-arranged time (21:30), only to be greeted by a sign on the office door which stated that the office would only be open again at 22:00. Behind the glass door sat an employee eating his dinner and completely ignoring the customers. There was a queue of families with young kids (us included). We knocked and he completely ignored us for half an hour. This is not acceptable.

Cons: Horrible service, very rude people. After an hour in the queue under the sun an unprofessional person told us that we made an error in reservation and must pay him twice more.

Cons: 1. The car we were offered was not comparable to the one advertised. 2. The agent at the office where we rented the car had not noted down the previous damages of the car, so we needed to prove that all damages of the car were not made by us through pictures. We could prove this, apart from a small scratch on the front bumper, effectively costing us 150 euro (unsurprisingly the same amount as the insurance they tried to sell us at the beginning).

There was a small scrape on on a hub cap, which we have no idea why it was there and probably didn’t catch when we picked it up. We also did not look under the front bumper and there was a yellow scrape and again no idea. Said damage was 550, total scam!! Will never rent from you.

Cons: I didn’t like that you had to clean the car inside and out before returning. The windows inside needed a good wipe down. The car itself didn’t seem to be well maintained/serviced. The hazard cooling light was on, there was no water for the windows and I had to top this up myself. There were several dents and scratches already on the car. The company lacked good customer service/integrity.

Cons: Poor service. Clearly attempts to ramp up price. Cost massively more than your company quoted.

Cons: Wouldn’t use Moventur ever again, experience at pick up was terrible and felt as though they took advantage of tourists and upwelling to get you to take their additional insurance and even tell you that you need to hand the car back clean or try get you to pay additional money for a valet on return. I have hired cars all over the world and never been requested to hand the car back clean or risk being charged for it. Really don’t know what the car hire fee covers now. Absolutely ridiculous.

Pros: Angry, aggressive staff members with no solutions to any customer issues. Didn’t end up getting a car but cannot score a 0 on this submission form.

Cons: Car class was called "Mini Elite" so i was hoping for at least a removable top however we got an ordinary mini car, a Fiat 500 so i feel like we got the same package as a "Mini" class even if it costed a bit extra.

Cons: Could not find signage or information or drop off point for car at Cagliari Airport. No signage. No booth in carpark. Didn't know you needed to go into main building to find Momentur desk to drop keys off. Better information required.
