Target Rent at Olbia Airport

Pros: The car was reliable.

Cons: The pick up was difficult to find. A very big queue of people waiting to be seen to and then we waited about 30 minutes for the car to arrive. Apparently it was being cleaned. The pickup point was actually through a third party, so it was not clear where to go and sign for the car.

Cons: A bit difficult to find it. No signs of the Target Rent, so we had to ask few times people where they are located. It was a different main company brand name which was Even more confusing.

Pros: Nothing, its a shameless ripoff company, the tipycal "last rental box at the back of the carpark" type....

Cons: find it a disturbing practice that although I was able to make the initial payment via AMEX, they did not accept the same card pre-authorisation, but happily accepted AMEX for their highly inflated excess cover. "The 'luxury' car that I booked that was supposed to be a Jaguar or similar premium brand, they gave me some Citroen(not at all a premium brand) small SUV. I complained, they told me they do not have a jaguar, or same badge quality I can take this car or leave it.

Cons: The same thing happened during the return for another lady at this rental company. It looks like their business plan - they make money from the insurance in this way with a more favorable rental price. DiscoverCars - please be careful with this rental company.

Pros: Service until we arrived. Really weird to write in the mails: 'the shop don't like, when you are late' - but what can I do, when the plane is delayed?

Cons: The shop was closed. Stood there alone with three children at +21 pm - what to do? No one picked up the phone.

Pros: Nothing. Awful. The worst.

Cons: No sign. Then you canceled our reservation even though our flight was delayed and we were in the air and couldn’t let you know. Then we couldn’t find you. Only to walk forever with luggage and find out you canceled our reservation and never even responded to me to let me know me know if we were charged or not. I would never recommend you or ever use you again.

Pros: Excellent car option for price.

Cons: Very poor customer service. Did not recognise additional Full Protection insurance cover - which included complimentary additional driver - purchased through DiscoverCars at time of booking. Tried to convince us that it was necessary to pay extra for insurance to reduce excess (approx. 200 euros), plus additional driver (approx. 40 euros). Reception staff got frustrated and swore in Italian when we deliberated and eventually declined to pay extra. They were unaware that we understood Italian.

Cons: The rudeness by the agent when we didn’t have physical copies of our international drivers licenses, but had digital ones and proved they were valid for one year on the site but she gave us a hard time.

Pros: Friendly people, gave good information on the car and driving in Sardinia. Checked the cat together on damage during pickup. Good drop off service outside opening hours.

Cons: Small point of feedback: It would be nice to get a confirmation the day of (out of office hours) that return of the car was processed well and all is well on their end. After all people have a deposit block on their credit card and it's nice to know that has been released.

Cons: The car wasn‘t in great shape, a reverse light was not working, an alert light came on, the brake pads very scratching and needed service, many existing scratches on the car. BUT it was also cheap and I guess you get what you pay for ;-)

Cons: On arrival at the apirport it was most confusing to find eventually that the desk was called by another name of hire cars, I think it was something beginning with M whereas we booked with discover cars. They might have told us this before and saved our time searching. It was not called target rent either!

Pros: The 'free' small bottle of water provided during our 1hour wait for the car.

Cons: As I was travelling with my 1year old, I had specifically booked a car rental from Olbia airport Terminal. This turned out to be false. After being told to wait in midday sun at a roundabout for a shuttle bus we ended up at a sub-contractor hire firm. Pleasant people but we waited nearly an hour for our car to be prepared. The car was scratched, not completely clean & some of its tyres were only just legal. The cheap hire deal was outweighed by the poor service & off-terminal location.
