Italy Car Rent at Olbia Airport

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Charged me double for insurance, misleading. I now paid double the amount of rent for a week, without my knowledge.

Pros: Helpful people

Cons: pick ups can be slow if someone in the queue has a booking issue: since this is not unexpected, put some measure in place to tackle the crisis.

Pros: The rental with Italy Car Rent was absolutely horrible. Unfriendly staff, unbearable waiting time and in addition they tried to scam me with damage already present on a Vehicle claiming that I was at fault!! Fortunately I had taken pictures and I was able to prove that it was not me but already existing, I hesitate to file a complaint

Pros: The guy who took the car back.

Cons: The woman who gave us the car and almost blackmailed us into getting another insurance we actually didn‘t need.

Pros: Relatively efficient.

Cons: They gave me the wrong vehicle, I requested a Citroen c4 with 7 seats instead they gave me a massive 9 seater mini bus which was very difficult to drive/park in busy summer small Italian towns.

Pros: Terrible service.

Cons: Rude when we refused their insurance. Very suspicious that they're trained to find anything at all to charge people when they didn't take out the insurance. Give you the car in the pitch dark with no lights so very difficult to find any issues with the car before departing.

Cons: Not very much service minded staff. Took over 1h for getting help. The car was ”checked” before handing over keys but it was really dirty so we had to clean it ourselves because of the large line of people waiting for help. Also, the rental desk was placed furthest away of them all. Will not choose Italy Car Rent again.

Cons: Car collection took nearly 2 hours. Two open desks, 10 people. Most tame wasted was by people not ready to show required documents, e.g. looking for passports, driving licence and credit card with their nam on it. Could someone tell them to be prepared?

Cons: I bought insurance via the Discover Cards site prior to picking up the car. The Italy car Rentals people did not allow us to take the car we had pre booked unless we spent another €200 purchasing their insurance.

Cons: The car is very dirty, the back seat looks as if someone had pooped on it and the windshield was very dirty on the inside, I struggled that evening to get to the hotel because I couldn't see anything and I was going to have an accident.

Cons: We had a problem in the road at 1h50 AM, and we were told (when calling the emergency number) that the ensurence of the car was not up to date and we would need to call them in the morning. We stayed in the car until 8AM and then we tried calling several times for several minutes without ever being picked-up. We ended up leaving the car and grabbing a taxi to Olbia to talk with the people directly, since no one picked-up the phone. After a lot of arguing, I rented another car, from Hertz.

Inside and out, petrol was half full when the paper work said 2/3 It was hard to find a parking spot to return as a lot of the cars where just parked on the road and not within the bays as the ran out of bays Wished i didn't pay £67 for the week of coverage that was pointless It used over €60 of fuel for less than a week and i bare drove £200 miles.... It's a hybrid I will not be using them again

Pros: It was actually Discover Cars that was great versus Italy Car Rent that we rented in Sardinia and did not have such a great experience. The drop off was super easy dropping the keys in the drop box.

Cons: The area where you rent is so far away and there is not good signage at all to get to the place.

Pros: Horrible, I won't rent a car with them again

Cons: I will never rent a car again with them, the attention, the staff working there, the service, the extras that you have to pay

Cons: It’s the furthest rental company from arrivals. Had to wait 15-20 minutes to collect car. More customer service training needed for staff. They are the face of the company and their demeanour and pleasantness to customers should reflect this. The lady who eventually received our car was excellent but the staff in the cabin did not even respond to me and I gave up waiting!

Cons: Drop off a little slow. Hut too small for the amount of people and no where to wait or sit down in the heat. Bit of a walk from the airport terminal.

Cons: First of all the key was long when we arrived and we waited for over an hour to get to the car. there were 2 members of staff on the desk and were really really slow. Dropping off i asked should i just front he keys and i was told rudely to just wait. I didnt want to wait another hour as i had a flight to get this time!!

Cons: Was not clear that we had to have physical copy of the international drivers license and that digital copy would not suffice.

Cons: A bit slow, it’s not clear where the office is if you are a weary traveller and it’s your first time in Sardinia.
