Noleggiare at Olbia Airport

Cons: Very bad; the four staff members were arrogant and were rude. As mentioned, They told me we could not rent the car because my full name was not on the credit card (Dutch credit cards do never have full name on credit card), as per your policies. So we were forced to rent another car with them. We were not in the mood to go to other rental companies as we wanted to drive to our accommodation asap. They did this on purpose and we will never rent a car with them again.

Cons: Their constant lying about the unsuitability of a third party insurance not being suitable in Italy. They seemed very convincing. Then being upsold to a very expensive premium. Out of pocket of about 600 euro on three car rentals over 20 days.

Cons: There were these tiny little superficial scratches on the inside of the car area where the doors close. The guy used a blue light and charged us $500 for scratches that already existed. I have a feeling they do this to everyone.

Pros: It was great that someone attended us in the line early on and got us to check in to speed up the process for when we got to the desk. However I can’t rate anything else as our car was given away before we reached the desk and we did not get a car from Noleggiare.

Cons: It took us 1.5 hours to be served at the counter with a booking. If you having a booking there should be in a seperate line to speed up the process of being organised before arriving. We also checked in to speed up the process of picking up the car and none of this get flagged on the Noleggiare’s end which made no sense as to why you would check in prior to the desk.

Cons: The car collection process was so tedious and slow. We waited over 2 hours with only 2 people in front of us in the queue. Everytime it was close to being our turn one of their ‘premium’ members would jump in front of us. It took the check in desk about 35 mins per car to complete the check in process. Watching all of the other car rental companies around us complete the process in 5 mins max. I would avoid using Noleggiare for anyone who was thinking about it.

Pros: We waited in line for 45 minutes at the desk only to be told that the reservation was cancelled because we were over one hour late. No ability to book us another car or help, they told us it would be cheaper to go elsewhere.

Cons: They charged me for minor damage under the front bumper. Under a normal visual inspection of the car, nobody would be expected to see any such damage. I suspect (but cannot prove) it already existed when I picked up the car. Additionally,, I doubt it will be repaired, but nevertheless it will be "discovered" again and again when it the car returned by future customers.

They were not accommodating even though the flight delay was out of our control, and we were uninformed that our booking and insurance would be invalid after an hour. They also charged extra for not having the gas 100% full.

And when we returned to drop our car off another gentleman said that he refused to pay the 175 euro on collection of the car as he’d already paid for full insurance noleggiare were accusing him of having a crash even though he hadn’t and it was evident he had not had a crash there wasn’t a mark on the car. And wanted 250 euro.

Cons: they gave away my car because I didn't collect it within 60 minutes of the reservation time. My flight was delayed, and so I didn't join the queue until 80 mins after the time i had reserved the car for, and then waiting in the queue for a further 40 minutes. They finally gave me a lower spec car (smaller and manual) whilst still charging me the original rate. I felt like they had ripped me off, but had no alternative since the queues were huge and i was stranded at the airport with my children.

I had no incident with the Toyota Tercel I rented for 14 days with Noleggiare and dropped it off at Olbia early on 11 August. I then received an email requesting the last page of my rental contract and thereafter an email stating there was a scratch on the body and that I owe 200 euros and an 80 euro administration fee. And this with full no risk insurance coverage? Shameful practice. Scratch non-existent.

The representative on the desk simply said he had no record of us emailing despite your representative saying it had been sent multiple times.

I also then had to pay for car cleaning which I have never had to do before with car hiring it is normally included.

Pros: The low price for the rental, but I didn't know that in order to recoup the money of the low price they would charge for non existent damages like "the bumper is a tiny less shiny, this will cost you 380 euros!!!!"

I would not be surprised if they omit in purpose to list all damages upon collection. I have being renting cars for the past 13 years, at least 6-7 times per year and I've never been treated this bad!
