Pros: Despite taking out the full comprehensive insurance with Discovery, Global essentially attempted to extort more insurance money from me as protection threatening more than a £1000 fine for a scratch or damage. When I explained we already had comprehensive full cover, I was told I'd have to potentially pay the fine and then sort the matter out with Discovery. Fully comprehensive insurance ought to mean exactly that, whether from the Broker or local Agent.

Cons: My experience with Global negatively impacted my car hire and holiday. Subsequently, we did take full advantage of the car and would not use Global again.

Pros: Very efficient

Cons: They tried very hard to convince me into buying optional extra insurance and pay another £110, suggesting I was taking the car without insurance. Other than this, it was great.

Pros: Abbiamo speso uno sproposito per una macchina piccola. Non abbiamo potuto cambiare il guidatore e non ci hanno accettato la carta di credito che avevamo perché non era intestata al guidatore. Per non perdere la prenotazione, abbiamo dovuto pagare 165 euro in più .

Pros: I did not have a credit card also was not aware that it was needed. They tried to find a way so I could get the car anyways. when the first car they gave me had an issue they did replace it immediately without further questions.

Pros: They were honest and fair and allowed us a few scratches upon returning the car.

Cons: It's not the team's fault but they have a policy of not accepting a debit/credit card of someone who isn't the named driver. This is very hard when you're abroad and you only have one card (mine had expired!). Also, it is probably not possible and many car rental places do it but I wish, for the price I paid, that changing the drivers name was free as a matter of policy (though they did give me an excellent deal in the end and I think they waived the driver fee).
