ABBYCAR at Crete Airport Chania

Pros: Very helpful and thorough

Pros: Fast transactions, reasonable price.

Cons: Staff told me at pickup that I have to take car to interior cleaning, even if car is not dirty after me. Car had allready saltwater marks on seats at pickup. They also told me to what gas station to take it.

Pros: Quick, efficient and friendly.

Cons: Unfortunately, and no fault of Abbycar, it was a little busy at pick up.

Cons: Appalling customer service upon returning the car. Car came with one wheel hub missing and we asked to prove it. Luckily a 2017 Fiat Panda has hubs attached only by the wheel nuts...and can only come off on changing a wheel. Then we were told the car was dirty inside. It wasn't. I cleaned it this morning. Only very light..very light sand. Agent said we were told we had to vacuum before returning. We were not told this and it's unheard of. This is a scam. I was then called a liar. Unbelievable

Pros: Minden tetszett.

Cons: Nincs ilyen.

Pros: Fast.

Cons: Car was not the monelle expected,,,but 'similar" I think they do not even have the monelle expexted as the yard was full of fiat panda only.

Cons: Bad service because money was taken from VISA but no returned on time.

Pros: Helpful and gentle personnel during check in/out.Convenient location near the airport.Good condition and clean car.

Cons: Everything was ok,but as a suggestion I would prefer the opening hours to be a bit earlier in summertime .

Cons: The deposit was charged directly to the credit card (instead of a reservation) and a refund made after return of the car.

Pros: Nothing.

Cons: We were 1 hour late to pick up the car and were told that the car is not available any more, eve though we already payed for more than 1/2 a day rent. It was absolute disaster.

Cons: Very poor customer service

Pros: It took a very long time to pick up the car they said that they didnt recieve the voucher on email..they dont spek proper english is very hard to comunicate with them...they dont reserve the deposit on the credit card they take the amount out and u will reseve it 3 day after u deliver the car

Cons: I recieved the email that i can keep the car one more day for 40 euros then they called me to bring the car back as soon as possible and they charge me 40 euros anyway extra for only one hour extra ...on the app i rented a toyota and when i got there they gave me a fiat panda full with scratches which had problems to go up to the top of a small hill and when i broght the car back the 3 of them were checking the car under and all over hoping to find an extra scratch to keep my deposit...

Pros: I had a clutch that was slipping,.but called and was given a replacement the next day. Very happy with the outcome

Pros: Car was not in great condition- front day light were broken, all time something was flashing in the car- wrong hour and date; poor engine.

Cons: They withdraw from my credit card 1000€ as a deposit and that lowered limit of my possible spend; they gave me back this money after two weeks after returning the car- why? They do not accept full coverage insurance, which I bought- they say they would charge everything from me and then I have to claim this from insurance- it is always automatically connected with the insurance company and here not- they suggesting additional payment of 40€ for „no cost” service if something happen

Pros: Hyvä ja ystävällinen palvelu

Pros: It was efficient and trouble free

Cons: My only thought is that the rental car provided was supplied with a tyre pressure warning light on and this was pointed out to me on collection...Also there was no screenwash in the tank..Both of these items should ideally have been rectified before handing the car over to me.

Pros: Nothing, avoid

Cons: Nothing, woman tried to extort money for scratches on car which already been there, I'm so glad I had video of the car when I was pick it up. Also car was in horrible condition, very dirty, oil and tire control on dashboard was on all the time but she said it's fine ! Horrible service.

Cons: Their interpretation of 'equivalent' vehicles. I chose a Peugeot 208 through Discover cars but was given a crappy Nissan Micra by Abby,

Pros: Promp, clear service. No issues. The car was modern and clean.

Cons: We had no issues with this company.

Pros: Nice and fast service. I received the deposit money fast.

Cons: The car was quite dirty inside.

Pros: Friendly efficient staff. Even arranged for someone to be at office for early morning ( 4 am) drop off

Cons: Car interior scruffy. Car very dented and scratches. Never seem to get Car ordered always get a fiat panda. Apart from that Car seemed reliable and easy on fuel. Deposit refunded few days after return.

Pros: Nothing - operator was uninterested and rude

Cons: Everything from attitude to quality of car provided. Was told I would have to pay €300 for roadside assistance when booking confirmed it was included.

Pros: Friendly and through.

Cons: I ended up not renting any car. It was needed from me to pay with a credit card for the deposit, while I only have debit cards (which is a bit insane nowadays that card use is so widespread - if not the only means of payment). To avoid this and still get the car, I had to pay sth like 130 euros on top of what the initial agreement was. Seriously not worth it. The stress that such an incident creates on one's holidays is very unecessary

Pros: Execrable

Cons: NO SRVICE ATT ALL

Pros: responsive personal

Cons: The discrepancy in car model / size

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Staff cars and service

Cons: Rude service and scamming policy

Cons: We was not given the car of choice or offered an equivalent. We were in fact down sized and not offered any money back. Disgusting service. We were arguing with the sales representative for over 1 hour in 30 degrees heat. We could not fit our 3 cases in the boot. Me and my children had to balance a 24kg case on our laps the 1 hour journey to our appointment.

Pros: Call me please!

Pros: Great support, very easy rental

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Everything was perfect.

Pros: Staff were so kind and understanding of the delayed flight . Car was efficient and effective

Cons: The car was great value .

Pros: Friendly staff. Easy to find. No hassle drop off or pick up.

Cons: 10pm seemed quite early to charge extra for outside normal hours when they know planes are landing that won't allow you to get there before then.

Pros: friendly service, close to airport

Cons: nothing

Cons: Very slow pace delivering the car

Pros: Near the airport, fast documents for check in and check out, good communication with the agents

Cons: I reserved a car and they gave a different one (model and engine type), the car was not clean outside and inside and the had an extra cost for letting go the car before 8 am.

Pros: Warm welcome

Cons: Poor car in bad condition and poor service when returned the car

Pros: Staff helpful.

Cons: Release of Deposit block on credit card can take two weeks.

Pros: Good price

Cons: Very poor customer service

Pros: the courtesy of the personnel

Pros: Felt like the car needed a service . Not a smooth drive

Pros: Very easy to use

Cons: Nothing

Pros: The office was airconditioned

Cons: Slow and time-consuming on picking the car up. Oldish car - 5 years

Pros: Car was a good little run around.

Cons: Staff.

Pros: Efficiency

Cons: Nothing

Cons: Very high mileage old model micra which was very battered, lots of damage & internal condition poor. Wanted us to pay extra for breakdown cover despite our booking stating it was included. Engine fault warining light came on within a day and power steering also failed. At first they refused to even change the car & were rude & aggressive about it. When they did finally agree to change, they insisted we sign to confirm that we agree the replacement vehicle wasn't damaged before letting us see it.

Pros: Great customer service. Sometimes really hard to find good customer service, but they were really nice and patient. I give the employees 5/5

Pros: Friendly staff and real value

Pros: Quick and cheap,

Cons: The car we received was quite old and not very clean, we had to clean the windscreen on the inside so we could see out of it properly.

Pros: Good service. Polite and helpful people

Pros: Friendly staff

Pros: 7 min walk near airport

Cons: Car is 2017 old and it is consumed not as expected. Not a pleasant experience in getting the car nor the car was I'm a good shape. One wheel ³cover was missing. The wiper are dry did not work during the trip. Also the water container for the windshield was not functional. I had to stope few time to wipe the front and back window

Pros: Staff was perfectly good.

Cons: Paid all the insurances, they still try to charge me extra 50€ for something. Car could be better condition for the money they took for it.

Pros: Great service . Recieved higher class car in this same price. No hassle at all. Very professional staff. Despite the 2 hour delay,(after midnight) they were still waiting for us without any problem. Highly recommended 👌

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Rude staff, waited for an hour to get car, Poor quality car

Pros: fluent service, no surprises and deposit was released in 3 days.

Pros: Everything was in order, there were no issues

Cons: The car seats were a bit stained, but other than that everything was ok.

Pros: Online check-in

Cons: Old cars

Pros: Nothing I liked about the service and the way it was handled.

Cons: Abbycar was awful service.

Pros: Effective Online check in

Cons: The car model was quite old.

Pros: Nothing as they were unhelpful and kept us waiting an hour after a long flight.

Cons: The car’s air conditioning didn’t work and the headlights were dreadful.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Cars in terrible shape (comparing same model cars we have seen around the Island. No assistance after picking up the car.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Waited an hour to collect the car, the staff were just faffing about which isn’t what we wanted after a 3 hour delay. They finally gave us the keys and we went to load our bags in the car and the staff had shut the shop and left. We turned the engine on and noticed the engine management light was on and so was the tyre light. The real wiper had been broken off and not replaced. The car was in an awful state. We was an hour and half away so couldn’t bring it back the next day.

Pros: The guy was friendly.

Cons: They didn't accept debit cards for deposit and tried to charge me extra to use debit card. The car They gave us was a lesser model than we'd paid for and then they tried to give us a model below that also. Charger on the car they gave us didn't work

Pros: Hassle free service during pick-up. Everything was professional. No time wasted when returning the car.

Cons: We wanted a Peugeot 208, but ended up with a Nissan Micra, which was not mentioned prior to arriving.

Pros: Not much

Cons: The car.!

Pros: Easy and quick for pick up and drop off. Vehicle in good running order. I noticed the tire pressure light was on. They immediately took the car to the neighboring gas station and CheCked the tires.

Cons: Nothing.

Cons: We weren’t informed that the credit card for the deposit had to be issued on the name of the driver, so we had to deposit 400€ cash and pay 50€ extra as a fee for giving the money cash and not by credit card. The agents were unwilling to help us with this issue which was an inconvenience. Car was OK, we got a free upgrade because ABBYCAR did not have a small car at the time, although that was our initial booking. ABBYCAR is ~10’ walk from the airport but they refused to drop us off there.

Pros: The only positive was the return of the car. Everything was executed in a quick and smooth manner.

Cons: It is unacceptable for a company to not accept cash or American Express cards for the car guarantee. The staff was completely unhelpful towards a solution, only proposing something after a lot of effort, in a very rude manner and with increased cost. On top of all that, we weren't able to register a second driver because she didn't have her driver's licence in a physical form, independently of the fact that the government has issued an official wallet app for your ID and license. Can't recommend

Cons: The car was in an awful condition upon collection and really is not what I would expect at all from a rental car. I had to take numerous pictures before leaving the rental desk as some of the damage on the car was awful. The car did not provide value for money in anyway and I’m extremely disappointed in the car provifed

Pros: Nothing in particular

Cons: They gave us a very old car. The brakes were squealing, no frills. Very base model car.

Pros: efficiency and ease at desk

Cons: condition of the car was so so

Pros: Friendly and efficient staff.

Cons: I paid for a bigger car and was given a very small car.

Pros: The staff was personally lovely and dealing with the policies they did not set. They personally would make me consider AbbyCar again.

Cons: Not intuitive or easy to find the rental car office. In combing through the confirmations it would have helped to have a clear call out "Exit Airport and turn left, walk 7 minutes down the road toward the the Shell Gas Station". Consider investing in a side walk to get to the office. There should not be an 80 Euro penalty for using a debit card or alternate payment method; consider adding an alert when booking "Reminder: No Debit Card or Amex Accepted, penalties will apply".

Pros: Nothing to like. There were other people in the same situation!

Pros: Location close to the airport, relatively short time to pick up the car

Cons: - reduced staff and for this reason tired and somewhat irritated -The air conditioners set at 16 degrees Celsius, which was beating exactly on the heads of the customers waiting at the office and the staff's lack of availability to at least reduce the ventilation, so as to mitigate the overall disturbing effect - Deflated tire (0.8 bar) on the front wheel, the windshield was dirty, which made it difficult to see at night (rented car at 19:30) until we managed to clean it

Pros: I feel I was cheated paying 100EURO illegally.

Cons: The person in the car return was excellent. He took us to the airport. He was really a nice and effective person. He is not young but did everything to help. He is the opposite of his manager.

Pros: The representative who checked the car back in was very cordial

Cons: Various extra charges. my full deposit has not been refunded

Cons: - completely different car than the was ordered ( instead of Peugeot 208 - length 3.973 ) Nissan Micra ( length 3.715 mm ) ... , it was explained to me, that it was the same type - same car size ... - terrible technical condition of the car, two or more on-board lights illuminated during the drive ( bad tyre pressure or skid control) - flat tires - different than the promised price, the total price should have been 349 Eur, the DISCOVER CARS agency added 82 Eur to the amount of the fee ...

Pros: quick and kind administration on site.

Cons: due to a bank error, I did not get the deposit back, it was deducted from the credit card. They promised me two or three days to get it back, but it's been nine days since then and the money's gone. They have no answer to my letter.

Cons: They provided a very small Nissan Micra even though we'd upgraded to a medium sized 206.

Pros: Nothing good to say, whatsoever

Cons: Terrible - the car rental company are scammers and frauds. Tried to claim my credit card wasn't one they accepted so then tried to charge me 300 euros and 25 euros per day of rental for wrong card.....we decided to walk away there and then THANK GOD! AVOID

Pros: Friendly staff, easy pick up and drop off

Cons: Would be good to provide clients with a map of the island.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: The booking had been automatically cancelled, and Abbey Cars were ‘unable’ to rent ANY car to us (although I was initially told my them that I could have a car but at some 4x the pre-book price

Pros: Very nice personnel

Pros: Ease of pick up & drop off

Cons: Dirty seats

Pros: Good price and customer service.

Pros: Bad service, car full of scrathed, hired peugot 206 got old micra instead, tyre warning light kept flashing, radio search not working, lights all yellow could do with polish. Staff not helpful hired car at 11.30 pm guy was just rushing to close office and go home when I complain about condition of the car and warning lights he just say take photos and gone home. They had a lot of newer cars but give you the worst first. Avoid

Pros: Polite and efficient.

Pros: speed and efficiency

Cons: nothing

Pros: Avoid!!!!

Cons: Avoid!!!!

Pros: Easy going procedure.

Pros: Very friendly and clear instructions

Pros: very good customer service

Cons: too many forms to sign!

Pros: Quick pick up and drop off.

Pros: The person we collected the car from was fantastic, went above and beyond!

Cons: Nothing, all good

Cons: I had a return flight at 10am, I informed the staff of this at pickup, they stated it was okay, as they opened at 8am for dropoff, but the girl on the rental desk didn't turnup till 8;10am, after me phoning her to find out where she was, it where was I to put the car key, but I really wanted somebody to inspect and confirm all was okay, so the 1550euro security on my credit card could be returned. Also the petrol level is not full to full, so you end up having to judge, and costing you more mone

Pros: We got an upgrade for free, nice people, no problems when picking up or dropping off

Cons: That they only accept credit cards and not debet cards! That is not common knowledge in Denmark. We met a family who wasnt able to get their car because of this issue. They only had a debet card and lost their booking and the money they had spend.

Pros: Fast service

Cons: English skills

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Same as above. Disgrace.

Pros: No issues overall, friendly representatives

Cons: No issues

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Nothing

Cons: Would not use them again picked the car up at 2 30 returned the car at 2 30 charged me 30 euros saying the car should have been back at 11 am would definitely not use them again

Pros: nothing

Cons: not abiliting to modifiy direclty the contract ! Everything went wrong

Pros: Unfortunately they did not accommodate our order. We had a problem I got in touch and nobody bothered to reply to me

Cons: They were not willing to help me out when I was stranded

Pros: Very efficient on picking up and dropping the car.

Cons: Car Skoda Fabia I dont like it because are very noisy and motor does not have power. First option was for a Peugeot 208, wich is a great car.

Pros: The service level was high.

Cons: The parking brake did not work properly, the car took it downhill on a sloping road with the parking brake applied and the foot brake applied.

Pros: Horrible customer service

Cons: 1000 euro safety deposit….

Cons: https://ledigajobb.se/jobb/8baa51/coo-till-mandales

Cons: We have done complete full insurance . But i have made 1170 eur for deposit garante...

Pros: The car was booked by my husband as aain driver. The main driver had to have his credit card, which he didn't. I was a second driver, but my credit card was not accepted. Discover Cars don't have a phone number for contact in case of emergency. I had to email them to change the main driver to myself. They offered to do it the next day via email. Very inconvenient... What Abbycar offered is to pyt down €600 cash as a deposit and €100 as a one off payment on top of what we have paid alreaday.

Cons: The other option was €200 cash deposit and €200 one off. This was more expensive than to book another car and to lose all we have paid till now. I was impressed from the lack of flexibility in Abbycar and the lack of customer support in Discovercars. The only good thing is that you can easily book another car through the same search engine. But you have to read ALL the small print.
