MONZA Rent a Car at Crete Airport Chania

Pros: Straightforward.

Cons: The car was a lower class from the one I paid for and the agent refused to rent the class I booked in. Also trying to sell extra insurance claiming the one I bought via Discover Cars was not valid!

Pros: Given an upgrade which was appreciated. Car was in good condition inside and was very good to drive. Quick pickup considering it was 2am.

Cons: Car had a few scratches and crack in one tail light. Car was dirty on outside so difficult to tell if scratches or dirt. Recommended by agent to take a video of car condition before setting off but as it was dark and a dark colour car it was not easy to see. No paperwork with car damage outlined available.

Pros: friendly but corrupt

Pros: When i arrived i have payed for very early arrival 4:15 in the morning, But no on Monza Office so I first got the Car at 6 am

Cons: No persons on the Office when arrived i had ahead informed about my early arrival

Cons: Long time queuing to pickup car. Once at the desk very manual process (wait while hand writing forms)

Pros: Although there was a wait/queue to pick up the car, the overall process was fuss free

Cons: The car struggled in first/second gear so unless you were going at 70/80kph, it would be really clunky and struggle to get the revs needed.

Cons: The air conditionning was not working in the first car we got. We had to wait close to an hour to get another car that was not in much better shape but at least it had AC.

Cons: The car was fine, but the person at the front desk did everything and more to sell extra insurance, more like a threat, thsn being informative. Did inform that I had extra insurance but did not stop. Not good customer service

Pros: Not much actually, yes I didn’t pay much for the rental but I had family members who rented for same price else where than Monza. And their car was in much better condition

Pros: The tire pressure was low which was annoying as an alert light came on early in the trip - would have been helpful if this had been checked previously

Cons: Ordered a 4 door car got a 3 door car. Was told it was a better car. I disagreed.

Pros: They were very accommodating. The car I ordered had been in accident so was not available. They were really helpful in getting me a great alternative vehicle. And the alternative vehicle actually was a much better fit for what I needed

Cons: The attitude of staff and the lack of staff

Pros: The agent we met at pick up was not the friendliest person. That was our very first point of contact in Greece and we were disappointed with that. However, the service at the drop off in Heraklion was quick, easy and the service there was amazing. I would rent from Monza again.

Cons: The initial contact was not a positive experience. I felt like I was disturbing the agent. No smile no greeting.

Cons: I reserved a 5 door car and was given a 3 door car. When I asked for a 5 door, I was told there were none available and was not offered any discount.

Cons: The tank was empty upon pickup. Unfortunately we unknowingly let the station attendant fill the tank to capacity and we only put 100 miles on the car. This could have been avoided if the tank was 1/4 or 1/2 full upon pickup.

Cons: The car was to small for purpose had to change down to first gear to make it up hill even with just 2 people in if the was 4 you would have to unload passengers to get up hills engine was to small for island could not fit 2 cases in boot was told to stick 1 case on back seat car terrible

Pros: Staff were quick and friendly. Everything was very efficient. Location was easy to find. Car was clean and ran well.

Cons: We were given an old car in very poor condition. It had lots of damage and not very much power. The gearbox/clutch were in need of replacement. The air conditioning worked but was very rattly and noisy when switched on.

Pros: Quick drop off with no delay, kind service during drop off.

Cons: When we were to Pick up the car, we were waiting more than an hour, with just 2 people in front of us. After like 20 minutes a greek dude came in the queue as the last customer, but the Monza Office took him in before us even though he clearly came to the queue way after we did. Super bad practice to let someone in front just because we were foreigners and he was greek and could speak greek to them. Very dissapointing.

Pros: Easy to work with them. They refunded the deposit in couple of days.

Pros: Car rental paper work reduced to a minimum without unnecessary requirements. Pickup took a few minutes. The car (engine) was not stunning considering the mountainous area of Crete, but everywhere was accessible. It did well in the high parts of the mountains in a lower gear. I recommend this rental to everyone, but it's worth paying more for renting a car with a larger engine capacity, which I didn't know because I don't know the car. This one was a suzuki swift.

Cons: Nothing happened with the car during the rental period and I didn't have any unpleasant events, so I didn't notice any negative reviews.

Pros: Quick and easy pick up. Just a quick walk from the arrival hall (no shuttle needed). They checked the car for damages at drop off and signed that everything was fine. So, no need to be afraid that claims are coming weeks after drop off.
