Cons: Car had alot of scratches and bumbs, the window was so dirty on inside that had to stop on the highway to clean because didn't seee anything when the sun came of front.

Pros: The rental office was in the main terminal at Chania, metres from the arrivals area. There was no queue (unlike Avis) and the rep who helped us was quick, friendly and completely not salesy. We then had to walk less than 100m to the vehicle. The rep there advised us to take lots of photos and pointed out a couple of scratches And we were off on a decent quality, very clean large car. The return process was equally simple and I quickly received back the security deposit.

Cons: About 30mins in to the drive the engine management light came on and a message saying the gearbox needed repairing. The gear change was shoocking and when I spoke to the agent they said not to worry. However when then had an accident that meant we had to return the car. Replacement car was fair better quality

Pros: Nice and polite front desk lady at our arrival/pick up of the rental car. Thank god we did take a lot of pictures of the car before we started using it/before we left Avance. We knew, also thanks to Discover Cars tips and guidelines that we should take a lot of pictures of every bump and scratch on the car before leaving with it. And so we did, thankfully! Avance tried hard to find faults upon delivery of the car. Not nice! It was a hostile Wibe until they saw our pictures and proofs.

Cons: Upon departure, we came to hand the rental car over again. Avance came with 2 representative persons, and they were eager to find and point out scratches and bumps. Even though all of them was there from before. It turned out the lady who first gave us the car, had NOT taken good enough pictures (or so they claimed) so that the scratches and bumps did not show very well at the companys pictures. But we had lots of our own pictures, so they had to give up trying to fraud us! Unpleasant it was!

Provided a very old Nissan, broken tail light, rust spots on hood, dented, dirty interior. I refused car and asked for alternative. Decided to cancel. Business owner the intervened and offered 9 years old Nissan, 96,000km, stained interior, squealing brakes, but worked. Grossly over priced for cat at end of life.

Cons: We got an upgrade apparently. The car was in such poor condition. I reckon the fee paid for the 2 weeks was enough to buy the car twice over. 95,000 kilometres on the clock. Check 4WD light on, on collection and throughout. Car key fell apart. Terrible.

I had to pay a fortune to get to my hotel in the middle of the night after a long day travelling and a long flight.
